Morning everyone. Woken up half an hour ago with the most excruciating bout of cramp in my leg. Grrrr. It's not just that it hurts so much, but I wake up so suddenly in agony that there is no way I can get back to sleep. Oh well, suppose it gives me more time to get on with some chores. You think if I list them here I may be more likely to do them? Ok, here goes:

-Put away baby clothes that were washed a week ago and are still hanging on clothes horse
-Do washing up that DH promised to do but can't coz he is now at work
-Go into town to get friend a birthday present (yes, I have a rl friend!)
-Make said friend a cake
-Listen to natal hypnotherapy cd (mum's partner bought it for me and keep telling my mum I have been listening to it! Though I have only done it once)

Ok, that's pretty manageable. Hope your days go well and you have better weather than here Holly, hope there are no wet beds today!

I am actually going out tonight - yes O-U-T, in actual going out clothes!

annobal · 05/05/2007 09:17

Is that actually allowed Bumper? (I mean the chores, not the going out .

I have only one item on the agenda today - to mow the lawn. After that I think we may go swimming.

Have a great bank holiday everyone

fatcatkin · 05/05/2007 09:20

Morning!!
I'm supposed to be doing chores while DH is out shopping but I felt the need to sit down and ended up here! Bumper, I also have that natal hypnotherapy CD. I keep thinking I should listen to it and very time I do, I fall asleep!
Hope you all have nice plans for this weekend and for those that have been feeling fed up I am sending you great big hugs!! Holly, I hope the boys behave - Maybe they'll be better without the oldest?

Derlor has not been around recently - Hope she is OK?

Anyway, I'd better get back to the house tidying - Having a girly night tonight so need to make sure the place is at least slightly presentable!!

Enjoy your day.....

Morning all

I am having a rare lie-in this morning only slightly marred by having to update Mum's web site (only time I have found to do it this week) - but have finished that now thank f*. My Mum practices all kinds of holistic therapies at her healing centre in North London, including NLP. I wish I wasn't such a cynic about all this stuff I have managed to get myself all worked up adding her content...maybe it's just the way she describes the treatments they offer, but I just find myself thinking BULLSHIT even though I have seen her patients improving with my own eyes. Guess it's really valuable treatment for gullible / suggestible people who have trouble running their own lives, but makes me want to RUN FOR THE HILLS. There. Got that off my chest - now I won't want to phone her up and call her a SNAKE OIL SALESMAN

(see - they call me badzelda for a reason )

OH DKMAFME...so sorry to hear about your appt. Let's hope baby decides to turn the right way up in time... (just read back down thread). Judging from the amount of breech babies that turned on April / May threads, looks like a lot of them do? zx

bumperlicious · 05/05/2007 10:09

Anyone want a free razor ?

derlor · 05/05/2007 10:47

morning chicks - flip you lot have been busy (not that i'm surprised)
as ususal WAY too much to comment on after 2 days off - have been lurking though trying to keep as up to date as pos...
DKMAFME - don't panic love, elective section not the end of the world and just think how you can plan ahead knowing exactly when baby is going to be here (no 2 weeks late issues for you )
Ria - hope you have a better day today
anyway - DS recovered form yucky illness and him and DD packed off safely with grandparents in a campervan to "Balamory" - so DH and i have a weekend of peace - It is bliss THIS IS WHAT IT FELT LIKE TO BE PG WITH 1st CHILD - I remember now!!!!!
to all those who are having their 1st - relax, enjoy and appreciate this time!!
I may even go back to bed for a snooze later - CAUSE I CAN!!!!!!!
this is better than a health farm. (feels wierd having nothing to moan about )

derlor · 05/05/2007 11:07

Hey Holly - have you seen this
I could make one of those .......

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 11:54

ARSE ARSE ARSE! God I feel grumpy, arsey, fed up and bloody miserable today!

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 11:56

Hey Derlor, Glad to hear that DS (was only wondering how you where last night) is feeling better, and away with GPs - enjoy it while you can you lucky thing

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:02

DKMA Hope you are feeling a bit better about things this morning, babies do turn my Mums friends daughter's baby did with only weeks to go! My godmother also said that her mothers two sons both actually turned during labour! Not that you would want to get that far of course! Just try and remember that if that is what happens it is because it is what is best for you and LO. There are lots of good points like BZ no overdue issues (there are plenty), not rips and tears to your fanjo, no lengthy labour, you know when LO is coming so can be absolutely oragnised and ready. It will be ok, just feel free to come on here and have a moan, whinge, cry, cuddle or whatever we'll all be here!

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:04

Holly, hope DPs sons are behaving themselves, and that you're having a good weekend.

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:07

Right, had better actually do something constructive, there seems a mammoth amount to get through, and DH at fecking work , help from ILS none fecking exsistent as usual and DPs 'busy' with getting plants in greenhouse ready before their hols . Am not amused. They'll all be wanting to hang around when LO is here and well, they can all wait until I'm bloody ready for them

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:08

Told you I was arsey today.

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:10

Am resisting the urge to phone DH up and be arsey as that will obviously get me nowhere! Oh and got a fecking party to take DD to this afternoon oh joy!I hate sitting through kids parties, I suppose she'll be occupied and will be tired out for early bed

Seansgirl · 05/05/2007 12:11

Really am going now as I am here on my own playing Norma, at least I have calmed down and stopped crying.

derlor · 05/05/2007 12:13

chill SG, sending you CCCCCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLMMMMMMMMMMMM vibes - at least you can sit on your ass while at the party (you might even get some cake and a fruit shoot!!)

hollyandalice · 05/05/2007 12:23

Afternoon all!!

SG hope you are feeling calmer and less stressed now! Like derlor said you can sit on your arse at the party and eat cake, if you're lucky you might get a froot shoot (ooooo)!! Feel free to come on here and shout arse at me later if you want !!

Derlor, glad your ds is better! So the dr was talking out of his arse when he said he had glandular fever!! Hope you have a lovely kid free relax x

Hi holly,

How is your weekend going - not too stressful with the boys i hope - any pissy beds yet??

i just spent ages filling in my profile page then pressed wrong button and lost it all
what do you make of that bag?!?!?

derlor · 05/05/2007 12:33

oh i have MTV on - no cebeebies in sight

TALLULAHBELLE · 05/05/2007 12:33

Happy weekend everyone. All caught up with chat of last 3 days, phew! Now off to yoga.

Has anyone got really sensitive skin on bump now? Mine feels like its sunburned but I live in Glasgow FFS so that's just not poss!Is sore to touch and stings but not itchy like in early days.

Who was it asking about H/B remedies? I have prescription from GP for Ranitidine - 2 tablets a day. Still have very bad H/b but not as constant or as fiery as before and is lot more pleasant to take tablets than chug down the revolting Gaviscon.

BadZelda · 05/05/2007 12:37

SHIT I have just broken my front canine (was an old 'repair' that has come off). WTF do I do now?

derlor · 05/05/2007 12:39

Flip tallula - didn't realise you were in glasgow - i'm just south of there!!
BZ- can you wait to see dentist on tues or is it too painful for that?
