Sorry chaps, my typing sucks!
v slow...

Foxy, thanks for your lovely kind nesting offer, I am researching industrial cleaners as house is currently occupied by an incontinent old lady and STINKS, wo'nt have time to decorate but I'm insisting on cleaners, then will rope in family for sorting the move, I intend to be really efficient when packing and labelling, will then spend the moving day on the beach....( we'll see....!)

face at stink from incontinent old lady....

Report
mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:24

Yes lilkel, quite!!
Whole house is horrid with gross garpet and very dodgy ceiling tiles and plaster work. Was a bargain though and will be great once we've done it up. Some time next year probably!

Thing is , when you have horrible neighbors you just want to be away from them....

LOL Foxy...just had to look at the Monday housekeeping thingy....

So far today I have failed to:

Go to the post office
Do any washing
Do the breaksfast washing up
Put all my paperwork hotspots (and there are several) in the one place
Sort out my paper work hotspots
Clean the toilet and environs of smelly man wee
Clean the bath of DS's weekend tide mark
Do any ironing
Put away Saturday's Mothercare shop (its still in bags in the hall)
Tidied nursery so can start painting
Cleaned computer keyboard (just noticed its a bit manky)

ermmm.....ther's more, but my softened PG brain can't think any more

Do you think they'd let me join their club ....maybe not

Tutter, thinking up annoying thread titles can be hours of entertainment. We have a few good ones up our sleeves yet, watch this space

Once looked at a house with a cat litter tray in every room, floors sticky with cat's piss, the odd bit of shit....
The estate agents said lots of people wouldn't even go through the door.
Obviously no one had told this guy about fresh coffee and flowers.

Er...mytwo...we've been in this house for nearly 18 months and still have 1980s nasty shiny flowery wallpaper in the hall and living room, with the choicest rococ style carpet.....we're just waiting for it to come around again so we can be retro-cool....the whole place was a vision in "mushroom" when we moved in....nice

Sputnik, some are just awful!
When we looked at our house the old lady was in one of the bedrooms, half asleep , very old, blind and deaf, whole house stinky, piles of tenalady pads everywhere...
then when we went back to measure after our offer was accepted , she was awake and had a total panic, seemed to be dementing , we had to leave... god it was horrible!

lol daisy! loved you 'to do' list!

dp coming home early so can pick boys up from school Yippee! have had the sunday relax I didn't get yesterday. meant to catch up with the sunday papers, but on here instead. DS1 at school, DS2 had lunch playdate, just me and Em. And spent some time doing puzzles with her and done the washing, so all in all feel very virtuous!!

although it does appear I've been on here constantly since 9am

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:36

Tee hee daisy! Yes we will live with it for a while - once it's sterilised of course - dp says it will be good for us as we'll have a clear idea of what we want when we do get round to it...hmmm

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:37

oh mytwo, you'll have to rip all the carpets out and disinfect everything immediately. Hire the skip now, I would. Only then would I be able to cope!

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:38

we looked at somewhere with shag pile and big dogs. It was the day DD was due, and I can remember it vividly. It stunk. Gross.

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:41

Don't worry foxy, I'm onto it, no expense spared for the cleaning process!
Right I really do have to work now or someone will start yelling at me or bashing eachother.... My job is too stressful!

Peace xx

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 14:42

Report
sputnik · 30/04/2007 14:44

I would get the carpets out too. You'd be ok with floorboards for the summer anyway. That's really sad about the old lady, hope she is going somewhere she can be looked after.

oops am still here!
Yes will be getting carpets up and putting dodgy orange lino down ( cut price from a mate, i secretly quite like it!)
The old lady is moving to a ground floor warden flat with her daughter who looks after her, thankfully.

We saw one with shag pile, three big alsations and, worst of all, about every dead animals you could imagine skinned or decapitated and stuck to the wall. The guy was from South Africa and into hunting in a big way. He had brought half the wildlife over with him. It smelt how I imagine a prehistoric cave dwelling

Fecky, bugger twunt...it runs out today as well. Oh well...We shall see......the car reg is the same on both documents though, so hopefully that would count for something...I mean why would I want to pay tax for someone else's car????

Rant over...gotta go get the monster....

eurgh to the dead stuff all over the place!

Orange Lino? Sounds very retro to me, think of it as vintage and its bound to work.

am laughing at myself - DP pulled into the drive, so I'm crawling on floor out to the other room to do puzzles with DD ... can't have him thinking I'm ignoring my parental responsibilities can I?

she's just peed on the floor. that got me back!
