Daisybump · 30/04/2007 13:57

Foxy, How are you going to explain the secret shower present?

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 13:57

have just done my mothercare shop, pads, cream, nappies, all that jazz. yikes. scary.

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 13:58

Does that mean we won't be able to talk to you when you're off on leave Mytwocents .....you must get connected at home..how will we know about your bub????

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 13:59

Sorry for long post btw

Foxy, do you have to deal with British Gas? I've just got a new boiler and found them to be very unhelpful, I did find a corby registered boiler man who is great, much cheaper, always available and is just nice dealing with one person if you see what i mean...Can get details to you if you like..

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 13:59

I'm trying to buy a new microwave as ours is a bit dodgy on the timer...it cooks things for however long it chooses, no matter what you dial in...that and it's a bit on the wee side for my new Tommee Tippee steriliser.

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:00

I'm not sure I have actually. He's seen it, but doesn't ask questions.

I think its because I divulge too much on here that I don't want him to know about it!!!

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:01

daisy, I've told him I NEED mumsnet when I stop work ( which was going to be 2nd week of June but after friday nights heart attack panic , will now be sooner!!)

I hate missing out on all the chat and always think too late of any witty replies or help i could give...

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:01

mytwocents, I've an ongoing problem with them and my boiler. We've a maintenance contract, which I like having for peace of mind, but as soon as this problem is sorted I'm switching to Direct Line.

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:02

sorry mytwocents, meant to say thank you

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:03

My dp has twigged that I would bitch about him on here!

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 14:03

I haven't bought any maternity pads as I've got lots of spare towels around the house......its funny now, but after I had the first MC and was going through one maxi pad every 20 mins, poor DH went out to the shops for me...he didn't know which ones would be best, so came back with 3 carrier bags full of sanitary towels of different strengths and wingedness. Bless him...makes you wonder what on earth the checkout girl was thinking?

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 14:04

Friday nights heart attack panic?????
Did I miss something????

sputnik · 30/04/2007 14:04

You'd best talk your DH into that internet connection, after all when you're on mat leave you won't have anything else to do but chat to us. Moving in 4 weeks - don't envy you, lets hope you're not early

Welcome! x x I have had bad dealings with British Gas for years now and I'm always encouraging others to leave them!

sputnik · 30/04/2007 14:07

My2cents "heart attack panic"?????

OP posts:
foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:07

that is a bit scary MyTwo!

we can all come and help you - it'll be a nesters dream, all that cleaning and putting things away in their right place, labels facing outwards, baby clothes in little even piles.

how sad am I? to be genuinely excited by the prospect of nesting?

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:08

tell us what happened !

Tutter · 30/04/2007 14:08

ooh there were some that were offended at far less not too long ago...

mytwocents · 30/04/2007 14:13

I know, moving not ideal but we have neighbors from hell, live in a conversion with noise all around and a fair few steps to climb so will be much better off in tiny mini house , no one above , no one below, heaven!!

Friday night I woke up with a tight, very painful sensation in my chest and an ache all down my left arm, woke dp with my yelping , could breathe though which, as I'm asthmatic, was a good sign. I rang the labour ward and they asked lots of questions to dp like how old? Do I smoke? History of heart problems etc, now I'm 30, I don't smoke ( anymore for 2yrs now) and have no history of heart trouble so they were a bit stumped. The pain slowly went so we did'nt go to hospital and I've been fine since. It was very scary though and I've tried to take it really easy since then, with my job this is impossible so am cutting my hours from next week.

See, if i had you guys at home I could have chatted to you instead of lying on sofa bored watching crap tv....

foxybrown · 30/04/2007 14:14

ha ha ha have just been looking at the monday housekeeping fly. It does make me smile, I can't decide if its serious or not.

waking yourself up is task indeed!

I have several 'hotspots to extinguish' after I have written a to do list and a to buy list.

myTwo?

sputnik · 30/04/2007 14:15

That was probably us too.
Mildly offensive thread titles are one of the few small pleasures left to us.
