Morning all,
I too have been awake since 5ish, Foxy. Had a bad night - awake at 2 for a couple of hours, then again at 5ish. Had a dream that the cooker didn't arrive on time because we had ordered it too late and we wouldn't be able to get one until Xmas! I'm ordering my appliances this weekend now, just to be sure..
Eventually gave up sleeping and went to the gym at 7. It made me feel loads better actually - not so grumpy now but starving.
I'm off to work in a bit - i'm sure the tiredness will hit me this pm and will have to snooze in the car.

wish i was going to a spa today. Going to have to do some serious trimming and shaving soon as i have been neglecting recently. Don't want the midwives to go into shock

No poo yet! We are sat in our pjs waiting patiently for it to appear! I need to go out though and I'm getting bored. I know though that as soon as I step outside she'll say "done a poopoo!". So I think I may just wait a bit longer!

DS swooped in on me the other day HandA. When I asked what he was doing he said "having a drink of booby milk". He's quite fascinated by it all and asked me, loudly, in Sainsbury's the other week if he could see where the milk came out!!

I can just imagine him telling all his friends and teachers about it all....

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:12

Yes, Daisy, best not to take much notice of the weeing thing. He could just be being lazy and it might not be anything to do with the impending birth - we are always looking for reasons to panic and compensate - don't you just love maternal guilt?

My DS was weeing in the bin for some unfathomable reason (the bathroom bin, next to the loo!). He is Mr Anal, always washes his hands, won't eat after cleaning his teeth, is a germ-freak, but did this odd thing. My cleaner told me about it (see how often I empty my own bins ), and I was horrified. I thought it was DD emptying her potty out, but he said it was him. It wasn't a one off - happened for about 3 weeks. I thought the smell was just having 3 boys with crap aims in the house.

BZ....the Panorama programme is on at 8 tomorrow evening...not sure whether any of us should actually watch it, but I know that I won't be able to resist and will give myself nightmares for a week!!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:12

I am soooo glad I'm able to have a home birth. Hospitals are pretty grim places! I had a fab hospital experience last time, but I know I was extremely lucky.

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:13

LOL Foxy...my loo always smells a bit whiffy...off to check the bin!!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:14

If she's interested I'll prob let dd have a go, I don't want her to feel left out, but I think it would make me feel a bit icky!

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:14

My hospital experience was great, inspite of the long drawn out labour that ended in a c-section. Best drugs I've ever had, and free!!.....still can't remember my in laws visit three days after DS was born

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:16

Resist Holly, Resist

....next thing you know she'll be 8 and inviting her friends round for some

....or preaching maniacally on the BF threads

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:17

That's you obviously.....not your DD...

Right operation get the back room in order shall commence in 13 mins...time for a quick cuppa!!

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:19

My understanding is that there's not a shortage of qualified midwives, but a shortage of jobs. Apart from seeing some investment in the NHS, I'd like to see the Government investing in alternatives, such as Independent MWs.Post-labour wards are so poor because they are staffed by agency MW to compensate for lack of posts, a very expensive way of staffing them. Most people I know have been delivered by student MWs anyway.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:19

Lol!! Like that girl on that bfing programme a while ago! That was seriously odd! I don't think she'd be interested though, she sort of self weaned herself at 13 months and didn't show much sign of wanting any more.

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:20

was I ranting? sorry.

Am postponing playgroup. really should go.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:22

Bloody NHS!!Rant away foxy!!

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:25

ohh, anyone any ideas when the next few full-moons are? meant to be more babies born then. I don't have a calender with it on.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:25

Oh it's voting tomorrow! Good job that banner was at the top just now, otherwise I'd have forgotten. Not that I really care, TBH I think they are all as bad as each other, but I always feel I should vote.

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:26

am going to sing "row row" with the mummies who are better than me.

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:26

I'd let both DS and DH have a taste though.....but from a cup, before anyone says anything

Rant away Foxy......think most women are in agreement on this issue!

foxybrown · 02/05/2007 10:27

i agree, there's no choice, but we should still vote.

I don't think we've got elections around here. Em's nursery is usually a polling station, and they were going to close it tomorrow, but then changed their minds. so I've no idea about any of it.

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:28

Here you go foxy!!

hollyandalice · 02/05/2007 10:29

I hope no-one pops today!! Full moon and all!

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:29

Full moon tomorrow......next one on Fri 1st June......then 30 June......looks like you might make it June after all as next one isn't till end of July!!

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:31

It's only local elections though isn't it...for councellors? Don't think I can be bothered really, but as the polling station is next door to DS school....

Daisybump · 02/05/2007 10:32

Shit, its the 2nd today???? It's my nephews birthday and I've forgotten to post his card...bugger bugger bugger
