@LadesC I hope it settles down, I've had quite a few bleeds and have had three trips to the EPU.

@birdy1978 amazing!! Was it a huge shock?!

My 12week scan all went well today, everything seemed normal. I feel so much more relaxed already and so happy to tell some people.

@Expecto- I asked the midwife at my booking appointment (I’d read lots of things like you but really couldn’t resist pineapple!) and she said it was absolutely fine. She said you’d need to eat quite a few full pineapples on the trot for it to be any sort of problem so I’ve been happily tucking in since!

@birdy1978- wow! Congratulations! Double trouble!! How amazing!

@milney25- so wonderful to see that everything is ok for you after all the scares and worries you’ve had! Such a fab picture too!

@BunBunMum I'm 8+2 as well! :)

@Eloisa123 I am on cyclizine i find for me it just takes the edge off I'm still experiencing nausea all day everyday :'( I also wear seabands and think they are helping.

@birdy1978 wow congrats! Did you have lots of early symptoms?

@Expecto - I am taking the Metformin for PCOS, I haven't got diabetes and the midwife hasn't mentioned any risk of developing it, so hopefully I can just stop the Met after 12 weeks.

@birdy1978 wow! How exciting and terrifying at the same time! I was wondering the other day how many sets of twins there would be. I’m hoping my extra podge really is Christmas cake and not a second baby!

Congrats on the lovely scan pics all!!! It's all finally starting to feel very real now. Had booking appointment today, and a job interview which was a bit of an odd combination. Feels like symptoms are subsiding a bit too. Twins, Birdy! How exciting!

We’ve just had a Chinese take away which is beyond rare for us. I was too tired to cook and didn’t know what I fancied. My 7 year old step son said “sometimes you need a takeaway”. Yes darling, sometimes you do 😂

thanks all! Not feeling the excitement yet - still at the mild terror phase. But I’ll be having scans every 4 weeks so plenty of time for bonding yet!

And also to everyone else who has treated themselves to a Friday takeaway tonight. I had a healthy lunch, so fish and chips (with extra salt and vinegar) is part of my balanced diet.

@JaneDoe ah I see! The only reason I mentioned it was that some women have to take it because they develop gestational diabetes so cant be that bad can it? Having said that I remember the doc prescribing me metformin to regulate hormones but assuming now that you’re pregnant you don’t need the extra shove? Shame the docs weren’t very helpful 😕

@Expecto - that is a good point! I think I will try to ring the consultant at the conception unit who put me on it to try to get an answer either way.

@somersetsinger - I had a massive plate of fish, chips and mushy peas for lunch today - it was just what I needed :)

I was wondering about weight gain as some of you have mentioned it. I did my bmi and it's 34, but looks as though I've not gained anything yet which is unusual for me as I usually look at cake and a stone goes on!

These scans are making me so jealous, cannot wait for mine 😊

Saturday finally! Would be nice but have to work a few hours today :( hate Rotas!
I’ve actually had a few nights sleep where I haven’t got up to pee. Everything seems to be too easy :s think me and oh are going to the pub tonight for a meal, so will be nice to get out the house, hope you all have a nice Saturday planned! X
