New thread. Will attempt to post link in old thread!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Great news about the scans! But my thoughts are with everyone who has had sad news too.

Quick one: I gave v few symptoms, but have been having unusually vivid dreams. Anyone else?

Last night I was playing lacrosse with a garden fork (tricky) and watching a man give a speech on a stage who had to blow into either a French horn or trombone every time he felt nervous, to calm his nerves. Slightly peculiar!

Secondsop · 23/01/2018 07:24

@MrsCaecilius I’ve been having ridiculous dreams.

I feel terrible today, not sure I will make it to work. Nauseous, crampy, exhausted.

I've been having vivid dreams too! Last night we had our house for sale and a woman came round and was obsessed with my husband to the point she tried to kill me, and we had to take refuge in a magic hideaway place Grin

bitzy12 · 23/01/2018 07:46

I had a dream last night that I went into a castle, next thing I know I'm belle from beauty and the beast and the beast is chasing me saying 'get outttttt' like the film......woke up all sweaty with a dry mouth.....had the tiniest sip of water then couldn't get back to sleep cos just having a small sip of water made me feel extremely nauseous.....good times :-/

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 07:48

Think I'm out. May not be connected but DTD last night for the first time since BFP and lots of red blood this morning. No clotting but probably 6 tsps so far and it's bright red, and still coming out. I know bleeding after sex is common but can't imagine so much is normal unless MC. Assume I should test to confirm or am I just likely to have a false positive? Should I just wait? DH gone for some pads.

intelligentPutty · 23/01/2018 07:58

Oh @PassTheAfterEights hopefully your not out.
I think you'll need to wait a week or three to get a negative test in any case..
Maybe contact EPU? Have you any pain ?

Fia256 · 23/01/2018 08:05

@PassTheAfterEights if there's no clots it could just be from dtd! With my ds, we dtd and afterwards there was a huge puddle of bright red blood on the bed, it looked like a massacre!! I was convinced I was loosing him and went to the maternity unit in floods of tears. When I got there the midwife said your cervix becomes sensitive, some more than others and they get more people in than you think for the same reason! Will keep my fx for you that's all it is

Paranormalbouquet · 23/01/2018 08:20

@PassTheAfterEights I echo what everyone said- cervical ectropions are common. I had one with DD and bled every time I had lots of activity (so even after a weekend on my feet at work for example). How many weeks are you? It’s probably worth calling EPU though many won’t see you at less than 6 weeks. Or your GP might be able to help? I would definitely leave it a few days to test if you can. My early loss was around 5weeks and the test was negative 2 days after bleeding started.

kirinm · 23/01/2018 08:24

I had full on bleeding after a run a couple of weeks ago. It stopped quickly but I was spotting for days afterwards. I think me running must have managed to irritate my cervix or something because it makes no sense otherwise. Fingers crossed you've just irritated your cervix, too.

loveulotslikejellytots · 23/01/2018 08:35

I've had some weird dreams but never knew it was a pregnancy thing!

Thanks for the ideas on doubles.

Flybynight1 - I had a stretchy one with dd, DH had a stokke one that was more of a structured carrier. I didn't like the look of it but I could try that one this time. Will look up the sling library though.

loveulotslikejellytots · 23/01/2018 08:38

Sorry passtheaftereights, I'd written that reply but not posted it, then saw your post. By the sounds of it, it can be quite normal. Have you got an EPU nearby?

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 08:41

Thanks all. Keep you posted.

@IntelligentPutty have the same bad backache I've had since conception and the on/off headache. I've had twinges on and off throughout so hard to tell if the tiny cramps now are MC or just because I'm hyper aware.

Can't get through to EPU but will try to speak to someone. Otherwise guess we will wait it out and see how today develops. Praying for it to stop / no clots. Trying not to feel totally devastated and remember how lucky we were.

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 08:52

Ah don't worry @loveyoulotslikejellytots and thanks. I do, I keep being put through to the gynae ward (apparently their lines are diverted in the night!) who are less than impressed. Will try them again in a few mins in case I can speak to anyone. I doubt I'll get better advice than on here, though - suppose I'm just hoping they'll offer to see me and confirm, would just rather know than cling on. Although I think I do know :(

kirinm · 23/01/2018 08:53

How many weeks are you @PassTheAfterEights ?

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 08:59

Only five @KirinM and no right to get excited in the first place, feel very stupid and lesson learned!

kirinm · 23/01/2018 09:02

Of course you're allowed to get excited. Even after multiple losses I got excited despite promising myself I wouldn't. My EPU saw me despite the fact I was only 5w when I had my bleed. I don't think all EPUs will necessarily be as nice - I wasn't expecting them to scan me, I thought I'd be told to wait and see. Sounds like you can self-refer rather than fight with a GP - they seem to be the stumbling block most of the time. Fingers crossed they see you.

CuppaSarah · 23/01/2018 09:29

PassTheAfterEights give 111 a phone, they can refer you straight to most epus. Bleeding in early pregnancy certainly warrants a call. I really truly hope all is ok.

I can't remember any of my odd dreams, but I did have an awful nightmare about rotten veg in the fridge and having to clear it up. It was very upsetting.

Does anyone else dye their hair? I have two inch long roots and all the red tone has faded leaving my hair a a very pale green/yellow. I'd love to run some pink over it but not sure if I should

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 09:41

EPU think it's bad news and advised likely to have a few more days' bleeding and clots, to manage at home with pain relief and test in 5-7 days to be sure all gone. Lovely kind mumsy type on the phone who was very sweet. Feel utterly miserable. I know it happens all the time and will pull myself together. Good luck to all on here, you're a lovely supportive bunch & wish you all the best for the next few months xx

Paranormalbouquet · 23/01/2018 09:47

@PassTheAfterEights I hope you are looking after yourself. I’ll still hope to hear good news but either way make sure you rest now. And don’t feel bad about being excited, I had an early miscarriage the last time I conceived and still got excited this time.

@CuppaSarah I’ve got grey roots which need sorting I’m afraid, I’d love some bright colours but really couldn’t with my job.

Nausea not great again today. Just want to curl up and go to sleep. Instead I’m ploughing through marking a million papers.

loveulotslikejellytots · 23/01/2018 09:48

Did they see you passtheaftereights? Or was this just from what you told them over the phone?

kirinm · 23/01/2018 09:48

How on earth can they say that?! I really hope that isn't the case.

MrsCaecilius · 23/01/2018 09:52

@PassTheAfterEights I'm so sorry and hope you are getting lots of TLC xx

Secondsop · 23/01/2018 09:52

Oh @PassTheAfterEights I am sorry - hope whatever happens next is as manageable as possible, and don’t feel that you can’t ask for a scan in a few days.

PassTheAfterEights · 23/01/2018 10:59

Thanks all, so much appreciated. Thank God for MN.

EPU diagnosed over phone from symptoms described. Bit of clotting now and pretty uncomfortable so no real doubt. I know it's ridiculous but I can't really believe/process it. I am so tearful and angry with myself for going to the pool yesterday and DTD last night and now terrified of how to manage next time, cotton wool I suppose. Anyway that's a fight for another day/thread.

Sorry to bring you all down, best of luck and thank you so much again x

Paranormalbouquet · 23/01/2018 11:09

@PassTheAfterEights nothing you did will have caused this and nothing would prevent it. It’s just bad luck. Going on as normal in early pregnancy is always the right thing to do. Look after yourself whatever way feels best to you today.
