Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Paranormalbouquet · 22/01/2018 08:13

That’s it exactly Mona. I’m basically nibbling constantly which is not what I want! No reprieve after eating today so far I’m afraid. Possibly because I’m mid commute which definitely makes it worse.

Paranormalbouquet · 22/01/2018 08:13

IntelligentPutty I’m 8 weeks and my symptoms are still coming and going a lot.

intelligentPutty · 22/01/2018 08:22

Hi
Im 5+ 4
Scan on Friday to see all in right place. I don't think I'll be reassured until 12 weeks though.

kirinm · 22/01/2018 08:31

I've got really sharp pains in my abdomen. I'm really starting to panic about having a miscarriage now. Not specifically because of the pains but because I'm getting closer to when my pregnancy ended last time. It ended at 10w but wasn't picked up until 11w.

I can't believe there's still another 5 weeks to go until my scan. I'm starting to feel like I won't make it that far.

Paranormalbouquet · 22/01/2018 08:37

@kirinm I think given your history you should be given frequent scans- there is some evidence to suggest it helps. Can you contact your EPU?

Namechangedtoscream · 22/01/2018 08:58

Kirin with history of losses you should be given an open access appointment every 2 weeks with EPU - it's why I'm here so much!

kirinm · 22/01/2018 08:59

@Paranormalbouquet I was thinking about asking for one at my booking in appointment - not that day but for one to be arranged. I don't know how reassuring I'd find one now. My booking in appointment is the next Thursday.

I did just throw up which is reassuring / gross. Brushing my teeth is becoming a nightmare.

MonaTheMoaner · 22/01/2018 09:09

Checking in. Baby measuring 7 weeks (5mm) and a nice strong flicker although they didn’t measure the heart rate. So relieved.

CuppaSarah · 22/01/2018 09:25

Amazing Mona!!! Thrilled for you Grin

Good luck Namechanged I am hoping for a positive scan for you too.

After worrying about my morning sickness not being severe, I'm now feeling awful. I spent ten minutes in the tesco car park retching at the thought of buying chicken breast. Had to buy pre diced chicken to avoid touching it, but I can't stomach another freezer dinner.

Paranormalbouquet · 22/01/2018 09:27

Congratulations Mona! Kirinm definitely ask your midwife. Even with a recurrent miscarriage history your risk of loss goes down day by day, even further when you’ve seen a heartbeat. I know what you mean about not reassuring though- different situation but with DD there was an anomaly on scam at 20weeks- ended up having scans every 2-4 weeks until the end, each one just added to my anxiety. She’s absolutely fine! I hate brushing my teeth these days too.

Bus took ages to get me in, think I’ll have to suck it up and get tube in future. Maybe I should get a badge as they do seem to encourage people to give you a seat- I’d just have to be very careful to hide it going to work. I’m not too bad when I have a seat but get extremely nauseous and dizzy standing up when it’s crowded.

Namechangedtoscream · 22/01/2018 09:35

Also positive here! All seen abdominally measuring 7+1 on the dot with a very strong heartbeat. Back again in 2 weeks!

MonaTheMoaner · 22/01/2018 09:36

Yes Namechangedtoscream!!

blondie1001 · 22/01/2018 09:41

Yay Mona and Namechangedtoscream that's awesome news. So happy for you both!

kirinm · 22/01/2018 09:42

Great news @MonaTheMoaner and @Namechangedtoscream you can both relax a bit (for a few days at least)!

@Paranormalbouquet I'm currently hoping I still feel rough by 8w which I know is when a heartbeat is seen and the risk drops slightly. My sharp pains have really calmed down (wondering if it was trapped wind Blush).

Namechangedtoscream · 22/01/2018 09:45

@kirinm with your history you wouldn't be unreasonable to ring EPU and get an early scan

@monathemoaner I'm so happy for you!!

And here it is one early scan....spot the baby!

CuppaSarah · 22/01/2018 09:49

Oh NameChanged that's amazing!! You and Mona have made my day!! And now you both have a day off to relax and enjoy.

Kirin I've been having sharp cramps, mine are a mixture of iron tablets making me backed up, gas and over excerting my stomach muscles being ill. I think our due dates are very simular, so it's reassuring to know you have them too.

Paranormalbouquet · 22/01/2018 10:00

NameChanged congrats! That’s brilliant news.

@kirinm feeling rough is incredibly variable with me, even at 8 weeks. Right now I am categorically feeling rough though! Walking between my 2 workplaces so at least chance for a short break and some air. Getting behind though so I’ll end up catching up over the weekend (luckily I can mostly arrange my own schedule). Monday afternoons is a fixed activity though and I am already seriously dreading it.

LostMyBaubles · 22/01/2018 10:10

Glad scans have gone well

Kirin could you have uti?
I've been getting strong sharp pains and not other symptoms really to suggest uti but I have one

MonaTheMoaner · 22/01/2018 10:23

kirinm hoping they scan you early!

Anyone have any experience of cyclizine? Just took my first pill as the nausea is ruining my life while simultaneously relieving me as I know I have real symptoms.

Love that scan photo Namechangedtoscream. I’m booking in for a private scan now at about 9-10 weeks so I can get a photo as our EPU doesn’t give them. Had a vaginal ultrasound today so saw our little blob clearly but want to wait a little more for an abdominal. No idea when I’ll have a dating scan next as EPU are happy to let me wait for an appointment. Should be speaking to a midwife about a booking in appointment tomorrow.

Namechangedtoscream · 22/01/2018 10:27

I'm on cyclizine and have been from week 4 on and off. It works. But I made my sickness stop completely which panicked me so now I only take it to get me through work.

MonaTheMoaner · 22/01/2018 11:07

I took my first pill about 45 minutes ago and I’m sipping my Dr Pepper. I just need it to help me get through big days at work or uni and a week Saturday I’m heading to London to see Phantom on the West End with my best friend which is a three hour coach journey each way and walking around/sitting in the theatre for hours. I do not need to be nauseous on the coach!

Namechangedtoscream (and everyone else) - when are we all allowing ourselves to get excited? I’m tentatively excited and browsing baby things now but I don’t think I’ll be able to truly relax a bit more until the first trimester is over.

Namechangedtoscream · 22/01/2018 11:12

I'm going to wait until after my next scan. We have had a heartbeat at 8 weeks and lost it before so if we get one at 9 weeks I'll feel more like it's real

Secondsop · 22/01/2018 11:37

Great news on today’s early scans!

loveulotslikejellytots · 22/01/2018 11:50

Lovely news on all the scans!

Still no sickness here, plenty of nausea and I'm shattered but counting my blessings in a way that I'm not actually being sick!

I've got an appointment with a midwife practitioner on 14th Feb. She does height, weight and bp, apparently the 'proper' midwife will be in touch to do the rest of my booking in soon.

DH and I agreed not to buy anything until after our 20 week scan. We have a dd already so if we can find out the sex we can start selling DD's old stuff or start washing it all to re-use. But... I have bought one thing because it was a complete bargain. We have DD's pram/pushchair which we will re-use, it is black and beige so neutral colours. But I found a new hood and footmuff set on the silver cross website reduced from £150 to £25 Shock it's red! Which is Dh's favourite colour and looks fab! So I have bought it and justified it that I can sell it if we don't like or need it. I love a bargain!

loveulotslikejellytots · 22/01/2018 11:51

I meant to say that the hood on the pushchair has gone slightly mouldy so will need a new one!
