Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@namechangedtoscream the GP has refused to do bloods so is literally referring me to a clinic in order to do two blood tests. Crazy. I don't know if they'd want to scan me or not; last time my appointment came through for around 9w and I got my scan immediately before going to my appointment.

I only want blood tests for reassurance. I would like a scan at 9w if I haven't miscarried before then, but wouldn't want a scan before 9w as have seen the heartbeat at 8w and still miscarried. So we shall see! Depends when I get an appointment...

Oh, and re: London, I used to live around there and would either walk or get a taxi in your position!

Paranormalbouquet · 17/01/2018 13:08

@kirinm I’m eating a lot of toast, trying a scrape of nut butter on it generally. I find if I can swallow the first bite or two of something it’s not so terrible- I’ve just had a cheese sandwich. I’m going to turn into a complete blob from all the carbs though.

HannahJH · 17/01/2018 13:29

Spotting here 😭

Will ring docs tomo and keep fingers crossed it’s nothing but not feeling hopeful.

Namechangedtoscream · 17/01/2018 13:31

@badhominem We've had the same before and I was reluctant to be scanned so early but it has been helpful. This time round the gestational sac was much more uniform and round whereas previous ones have had really ragged edges so im hoping there is something to read into that.

MrsCaecilius · 17/01/2018 14:02

At the moment I don't feel anything! Tired, but no idea if I'm imagining that being worse than usual.

Much as I don't want to feel sick, I'd like some symptoms to know I really am up duffed!

blondie1001 · 17/01/2018 14:23

@HannahJH some spotting can be totally normal. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

bitzy12 · 17/01/2018 14:40

Currently sat in ASDA car park with slight snow around me eating a fab lolly....omg it is amazeballs. Taking away that I'm so thirsty too.....these maybe my new best friend

Haha passing the virtuals @CuppaSarah sorry :( all for your 1st trim streamlining though!! I'd probably DM the midwife too... Blush they're going to hate me

waves @MrsCaecilius, fx for you @HannahJH and sounds shit @Monathemoaner, hang in there x

@Sals27 feeling funny - have had backache since 5DPO, on and off cracking headaches and more emotional than normal (which is not really). Not a lot else. Equally dreading and keen for symptoms to worsen! Early days though.

Eating normally so far sans caffeine apart from one morning tea, soft cheese and wine (sob) but very very drawn towards chilli and coriander, greedy bean cannot get enough.

Bambimad · 17/01/2018 14:45

Hi girls,

Sadly I have officially miscarried. Good luck to everyone and here’s to all the September babies on their way. Hopefully I’ll be on the October bus instead!
Love to all x

bitzy12 · 17/01/2018 14:46

@Bambimad so sorry xx

Sals27 · 17/01/2018 14:59

@PassTheAfterEights I'm with you on the wine. I'm so not over having to give it up yet Sad

@bambimad I am so sorry for your loss. X

MrsCaecilius · 17/01/2018 14:59

So sorry bambi, sending positive vibes for you! X

Fia256 · 17/01/2018 15:03

@HannahJH spotting can be normal but I appreciate how worried you must be right now. Fx every is ok in there!

@bitzy12 I have an ice lolly craving! I actually went out to the shops yesterday purely just to buy 3 packs of different types! Can't stop eating the calippo ones where it's half vanilla ice cream half strawberry lolly!!

@Bambimad oh I'm so sorry, please look after yourself and I wish you all the luck in the world that it happens again quickly for you Thanks

HannahJH · 17/01/2018 15:05

Sorry bambi :’( here’s to an Oct baby! Xx

Paranormalbouquet · 17/01/2018 15:06

Bambi I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hope you are looking after yourself. I had to run to bathroom during a meeting as I thought I was going to be ill. It was just more retching. My boss sent me home as I'm pale so assume she thinks I'm coming down with norovirus. On the upside I've arranged to work from home tomorrow. Feeling much better already now that I'm home.

Namechangedtoscream · 17/01/2018 15:08

@bambimad I'm so sorry for your loss I hope the coming days are kind to you xx

bitzy12 · 17/01/2018 15:13

@Fia256 I was going to get those calypso ones! They looked yummy. I went for the fabs though and now I'm panicking as they are 'limited edition' fabs......I don't want the normal fabs....just the limited edition ones....so now I'm sat thinking how I best stock up on them and what I'll do if they stop selling them lol

Bambimad · 17/01/2018 15:14

You know what girls I’m actually doing pretty good. My mum was a midwife and I’ve had the whole ‘nature does these things for a reason’ since I was a dot. So in my mind this child was my ‘devil’ child. My little girl is amazing and I have been told you’ll never get two the same or be as lucky to get another like her! So I like to think the next one will be just like her 😍. It’s actually quite cathartic and I’m glad it was so early as it’s pretty uncomfortable. I feel for anyone who miscarried at later dates, it must be horrific. I’ll still be around as I’m so happy for everyone here who is going to have a sept baby. My girl is GREAT!!

HannahJH · 17/01/2018 15:32

Bambi that’s an amazing way to look at it. I try and think of it the same myself but it’s still really sad.

Anyone else feeling off, do you feel more claggy/snotty/dry mouthed rather than actually sick or is that just me?! Xx

MonaTheMoaner · 17/01/2018 16:10

I’m so sorry Bambi. Here’s to another bus coming around very soon for you!

MermaidCafe · 17/01/2018 17:04

I've got an early scan at the EPU tomorrow, having some weird pains on right hand side. Have my fingers crossed. I do hate early pregnancy!!

Namechangedtoscream · 17/01/2018 17:06

I've started spotting and my cramping is getting more intense. Last time this happened like this baby lived to 8 weeks then died soon after the scan.

Not sure I'll be here much longer.

Paranormalbouquet · 17/01/2018 17:17

@Namechangedtoscream I really hope all is ok. Neither cramping nor spotting are unusual in normal pregnancy so try not to panic but do try to be seen in EPAU- can you call them? Given your history they should be happy to see you?

MonaTheMoaner · 17/01/2018 17:22

Namechangedtoscream That’s so scary. Can EPU reschedule Mondays scan to tomorrow to investigate a little further?

Flybynight1 · 17/01/2018 17:23

Bambi I'm so sorry but so glad to hear you are in a good positive state of mind. Fingers crossed to you getting a sticky BFP for October!
