going to try and order from the website, only want a little starter pack to have a nosy, as i only intend to use them when i'm at home not out and about.

Congrats Betsy on your little girl. - I can't remember- do you have other DC?

Karlou- lovely story, really happy for you . If only you were on the TTC you would have heard all about my DS's High School Musical themed school disco... and the great lengths I went to, making him a Wildcats T-shirt! (No one else knew what I was talking about!)

This thread aint half tricky to keep up with... good luck for the upcoming scans. Very jealous of you all... Still ages till mine.

Greedy- have you decided if you are going to find out the sex or not?

ejt1764 · 22/05/2007 20:35

Very quick - today's visit to the antenatal clinic turned into a real marathon .... my appointment was at 2, the queue to book in was out of the door, so I didn't even get to the front of that until 2.45 - and after waiting to see consultant, I didn't get out of there until 545pm!!!

Anyway, all is fine ... we're having a girl!! In total shock - all of dh's family in his generation are all boys!

She was bouncing around in there, and the sonographer had real problems getting her to be still to take the measurements. There's discrepancy over my dates - they've gone and filled in the dates without referring to me! I shall be jumping up and down about that!

Anyway, saw the consultant - have stressed that I want to go for a vbac - he's totally in agreement - I've also stressed that I don't want CEFM, as I need to be able to move around to keep my pelvis happy. After all the sitting around this afternoon, I can hardly walk.
My hopes of going for a homebirth have gone out of the window though - with my history of haemorrage, it'd not be a good idea.
I've also told him that I have absolutely no intention of agreeing to induction this time around - he read my notes from when ds was born, and agreed that it wouldn't be a good idea anyway (took 4 days!!)

Very happy, very tired, very sore.

Have a physio appointment for Thursday.

HMP - I found the following site really helpful when dealing with dephead. I printed off the relevant factsheets (pregnancy amd maternity pay), highlighted the relevant passages, and left them in her pigeonhole with a 'helpful' note. I think I may need to do that again to remind her that he time I'm taking off for physio is allowed under the rules. fact sheet page here

Anyway, night all, off to have a shower, then bed.

Honey - this is our first and I can't wait to meet her!!

Good luck to everyone having scans today.

Pheebe · 23/05/2007 10:19

Just had to share a big GRRRRR at neighbours. Don't know if any of you watch it but there's a story line at the mo about a young married couple Boyd and Janae. Basically he's leaving her for a bit on the side. Anyway this prompted the most awful dream last night in which DH announced he jsut didn't love me anymore and was off with a new girlfriend To make it worse he was parading her round MY home town (not his) as I was wandering about crying an utterly desperate coz I love him so much and just couldn't understand how he could have stopped loving me.

Woke up actually crying!!! He leaves for work at 5.45am so had to call him straight away to make sure he did still love me!Needless to say he apologised profusely for his actions in my dreams and promised me there's no one else ... bless him.

Good luck to all with scans today...I may explode with impatience soon

Its hard to believe that by the end of June we will all be past the half way mark and will be on the homeward straight! Time is just flying by and the summer will go even quicker!

Kittiwake · 23/05/2007 12:33

Yay just back from my scan and everything is okay Yay lovely to see the little one waving its arms at us. Unable to add to the girl/boy tally though, we did want to find out but he/she had their legs crossed and was upside down the little monkey. the Sonographer said she couldn't even hazard a guess so we will have a surprise after all. Just so happy everything is going well.

J20 - we live in deepest darkest midwales so unlikely that you live near us but we may have Relly's near you, where are you? thanks for the offer anyway.

Mumpbump · 23/05/2007 12:35

Kitti - brilliant news! I think the surprise of finding out the sex on birth is nice after the efforts of labour...

HonorMatopoeia · 23/05/2007 12:35

brilliant news kittiwake. Glad all is fine.
Dd did the same to us on the 20 week scan, wasn't having any of that sexing business oh no no!

FloriaTosca · 23/05/2007 12:52

Just back myself! Congrats Kitti!
I didnt sleep much last night I was so anxious.
I now have....well my Mum has(she already knows because she was watching!)...an envelope with the sex written down, but I looked away so I can have a little something extra to push forTexted DH with the news..he says I'd better rip the envelope up because he doubts he could keep a secret that long and doesnt want to be lynched!!!.Anyway, the schloer is definately on ice for when Daddy gets back from South Africa on Friday..it looks like everything is just perfect so far..bone lenghts, cute little nose, heart kidneys, spine bladder all fine size good for dates (20+5)..a wriggling, kicking little darling who didnt like having his/her photo taken by our lovely consultant and his brand new state of the art scanner...I could cry I'm so relieved. We are still, as we have been all along, booked for an amnio at 30 wks (consultant says "we dont lose them at that stage now")but I think we will be cancelling that one, this lo is mine now whatever is right or wrong .
Hope your scan has gone equally as well Greedy.

gemmamc · 23/05/2007 13:01

That's brilliant FloriaTosca!! I am very happy for you.

HonorMatopoeia · 23/05/2007 13:53

KezzaG · 23/05/2007 14:17
