Sweep yesterday, lots of contractions last night, far fewer today but saw MW and she reckons today or at least by the morning. Hooray! If it is a false alarm after all, I shall weep.

Luck to all, especially Katy and Maveta
xx

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 11:56

And I didn't like what I read about it, but didn't do a lot of research

Bugmum · 27/04/2007 11:56

That sounded rude! I meant special luck to K and M because stuff is already happening, iyswim.

Am going for a bounce on my ball
xx

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 11:57

How do other people's midwives make these sort of estimates whereas mine refuse to speculate?!
Good news Bugmum!

Bugmum · 27/04/2007 11:59

Katy - My MW is mid-fifties and VERY experienced, plus she doesn't like over-medicalising and thinks that the best way to avoid that is information. She knows I won't hold her to it, of course Also, I think they can maybe make better guesses about a second baby? That said, it'll probably all come to nothing now, and I'll still be pregnant on Monday!

Right. Really am off now xx

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:00

Well I am willing to try anything ..... Still trying to get my head round the fact that I'm still PG TBH....

Our Internet connection is CRAP this AM .... .... Grrrr!

Emmymummy · 27/04/2007 12:04

Hmmm have just read some things about it too Katy. Maybe I'll give it a miss and stick with the RLT.

Bugmum - sounds very promising, hope it all progresses for you today.

CD - yes I can't believe I'm still pregnant. Seems to be going on forever with no end in sight. Especially as weeks ago people kept saying to me that they thought I'd be early this time (based on what exactly?).

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:09

People have been saying that to me too; but then they have good reason as DD2 was early!!

I just feel like my body is going into hibernation and that I am never going to have him / her .... .....

@ them giving you an Induction date Emmy - Scary stuff! [[hugs]

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:11

don't you have your induction date yet CD?

we get given ours at the 20 wk scan!

No, no Induction date here ..... avoiding evil hospital like the plague ....

Emmymummy · 27/04/2007 12:14

Yes, I feel like I'm gonna have a huge tummy, fat arse and fat feet/ankles forever....

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:14

Not getting much let up between the contractions, am I just noticing it now I've taken the TENS machine off?

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:17

could be Katy but more likely just because they've got closer together and stronger x

is dh at home?

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:19

COME ON KATY'S BABY!!!!

Ellie - your son is gorgeous!!

Emmymummy · 27/04/2007 12:21

Ellie - Matthew is very handsome indeed! Wow! Even with the silly hat

Katy - put the TENS machine back on. The effects are supposed to be cumulative, so you need to keep it on. Even when you're weeing!

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 12:23

I know Emmymummy, but I'm trying to do without it as I didn't really like it. But I might need it before long, especially for in the car if we have to go back in.

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 12:23

No, he'll be back at 1. Getting pains and backache in between and feeling a bit shakey and sick

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:23

I am a big fat grumpy egg ..... ho ..... hum .....

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:24

he's only wearing the hat

we're not dressed yet

but you can see the carpet, which doesn't happen often in my house

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:24

if he's not on his way home Katy he needs to be. NOW.

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:24

Sounds like labour to me ......

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:25

Try to eat something sweetie. Perhaps have a bath.....

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 12:25

Ellie, he is - probably too fast!
The contractions are still fairly far apart though, still 5 or six minutes I think.

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:26
