CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:26

That's not that far apart katy ....

Katy44 · 27/04/2007 12:27

Actually last one was 8
And MW led me to believe I should come in when they're 2 mins apart

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:27

I'm going out quite son - You will text me with updates, won't you?? I soooo don't want to miss out on the action ....

claricebean · 27/04/2007 12:28

Good luck everyone, especially maveta, katy and bugmum

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:29

Yes, I think 2 mins apart is better - if you can cope. There's no reason why you shouldn't go in a bit sooner though, if you would like a little reassurance hon ..... How far away is the hospital? Could you just nip down with DH in an hr or two, just for a wee check??

Daisybump · 27/04/2007 12:29

Katy...are you keeping mobile...I was a bit slow in starting with my DS and kept being sent off for walks around the hospital....

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:30

Thank you clarice! How are you doing honey? How is wee Ruby?? ... and the rest of your brood??....

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:30

yes, he's only wearing the hat

he doesn't feel the cold

OP posts:
Katy44 · 27/04/2007 12:32

Yes, I'll see what DH thinks but would quite like some reassurance. They'll be sick of the sight of me!

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:32

I think Matthew and K would get on really well!

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:33

They won't - I tihnk you should go in, if only to get some reassurance .....

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:35

Oooooh, I think DD2 is awake so going to have to go and get her, stuff a bit of food in her and go and get DD1, then off to pick up Angel Tots order from Sorting Office, deliver a couple of Birthday gifts for over the w/e (just in case....) and then off to the Miniature Railway for the afternoon ......

I am going to be soooo knackered when I get back .....

CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:36

CaptainDippy 40+1

Still driving!!

Keep me updated katy and ellie ......

I'll be back about 5ish ....

EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:36

i'm not sure we should be encouraging our naked 3 yr olds to socialise

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 27/04/2007 12:37

don't do too much Dippy!

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 27/04/2007 12:40

Why ever not ellie - my girls do a wicked line in "Naked Dancing", esp on trains (don't ask .....)

I'll try not to do too much, but there are a couple of slides there ..... Not forgetting the Miniature Train I'll have to clamber on .....

heidle · 27/04/2007 12:43

oooh katy, hope this is it hun!
and maveta too - bless her, I hope her body kicks in before the hospital does.
midwife was her usual self this morning - tests sample, takes BP, feels bump, listens to baby's heartbeat, and then makes next appointment. No 'how are you feeling' no measuring/weighing (quite glad about that second one though)No chat at all really.
but a good strong heartbeat, so I am happy about that! she says I will be offered a sweep at next appt (next friday) i hope I'm done by then, by there's no guarantees in childbirth are there?

come on girls - we can do it!!!!!!!

heidle · 27/04/2007 13:04

.....just me again eh?
i've just ordered a tens machine (yeah, on my due date, I know) do you think that might bring it on?

I keep looking to see if the number of birth announcements has gone up before I check this thread........sad or what?

anyway, will have to try curry, sex pineapple and nipple stim tonight......and every night as midwife has just told me they don't do inductions at the local hospital, I'll have to go into 'the big town' hospital, and hop on their baby conveyor belt............

geordiemacminx · 27/04/2007 13:49

hey ladies..no action here....

just trying to plan a nice weekend with nice things to keep my mind off everything. Baby show, bbq and parents coming over o itaint too bad at all, plus the weather is good up here!!!

Hops things speed up for you Katy!!!

I have sweep booked for monday I think... but hey ho theres no guarentees!!!!

claricebean · 27/04/2007 15:10

aahhhh, CD thanks for asking. Ruby's doing great. She had her 2 week check up today and has put on 230g since birth so am delighted, especially as she probably lost some weight in the first few days as they do. rest of the brrod is fine too. DS has had his plaster removed (2 days ago) and is walking again, but doing a good impression of jake the peg - not bending it and with the foot turned out, LOL.

DD1 is dancing flamenco at a festival tonight, so very excited about that.

Good luck to you........wishing you lots of labour vibes.

heidle · 27/04/2007 15:30

gosh katy and maveta, I guess from your combined silence that this really is it for you both!!!! Am very , but also very

can't wait for news

bumble75 · 27/04/2007 15:49

How exciting, could there be two more babies today?? Hope this is it for Katy and Maveta! Labour vibes for everyone else!

DH's interview went ok today, he has a couple more next week - all on notice that they may be cancelled depending on how early/late baby decides to be.

Feeling blah today, like I have a stitch from running, very weird, also some back pain and period type pain, but is fairly constant so am assuming is just muscles as bump drops ever lower!

GMM - enjoy baby show, dh has vetoed the idea but hopefully the sun will stay out and we can have bbq instead

Going for lie-down with my book, have a lovely afternoon, will pop back later.... hopefully for baby updates!

Bramshott · 27/04/2007 16:11

Ooh, ooh, I've been waiting to do this: Baby news from Tili -

"Alex Stephen born yesterday at 5.50pm. Had lots of stitches so in pain at mo but just got home so can rest better. Will post full story when I feel more human but we are both well"

Indith · 27/04/2007 16:16

Hello April remainders!

Does it really look like Katy is all giving birthy? Fantastic.

Good luck to you all! I was due this day back in December Not that ds paid any attention to that! Have a bucket of labour vibes!

eca · 27/04/2007 16:28

hey loves!!

Lots of love to you all.

Go maveta!!!! Hope that your body gets going without the hospital stepping in xxxx

Hi katy ! Thinking of you lots today. xx

CD - didn't realise that you went over with DD1! Thought that you'd had both early, so obviously you do know about playing the waiting game!

Hi everyone else, hope things happen for you SOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had our first trip out today with T. dh and I went to a lovely farm & tearoom down the road and had lunch. It was lovely to be out with our boy! He looked really funny and tiny in his car seat. Cute.
