September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

@thereareworsethingsicoulddo Really sorry to read your news. I've also been there several times and I know it's the shittest feeling. I hope you are going to the EPU or at least your GP. Make sure this is in your medical records. I hope you have someone close by to support you.

Fia256 · 02/01/2018 09:22

Oh I'm so sorry @thereareworsethingsicoulddo I also know exactly how it feels to be in your position, it's utterly shit. Thinking of you and take care of yourself Thanks

I did another bloody digital today and wished I hadn't as it still read 1-2!! Going by lmp I'm 4w 2days but I'm also only 14dpo today and af was due today. So trying to not worry but of course that's easier said than done! So I ended up whizzing to boots before work to buy a frer and now I'm sat at work willing my bladder to fill by itself! I know it's silly to worry but after my fall on nye I feel like it's a reassurance to see if everything still is going in the right direction!

Paranormalbouquet · 02/01/2018 09:43

Jfw82 I was itching to do that but was afraid you’d all laugh at my obsessiveness!

Fia I think I’ve said this before but those indicator tests drive people crazy! I work in healthcare and it’s really hard to do a proper quantitative test and outside of a lab. Also normal urine hcg varies massively within and between women. I didn’t take my own advice with DD and was well over 7 weeks before I got a 3+ on them. It’s nearly killed me not to buy one this time but they drove me mad last time around!

Anyway at 14dpo you are exactly 4 weeks and that’s correct!

CheekyPearl · 02/01/2018 09:47

@thereareworsethingsicoulddo so sorry that has happened to you. Sending you lots of love Thanks

Fia256 · 02/01/2018 10:04

@Paranormalbouquet I couldn't agree more, I had this issue last time too with it going from 2-3 to 3+. I managed to somehow squeeze a few drops onto a frer just now which obviously isn't as concentrated, and the test line showed up before the control and is now as dark if not darker, which is an improvement from 3 days ago so no longer worried!

Paranormalbouquet · 02/01/2018 10:06

As for me I think the nausea and upset stomach over the weekend was a bug as woke up starving today. Bad cramps combined with lack of symptoms obviously making me crazy but am trying to remember that I’m only 5+2 so no symptoms is to be expected!

kirinm · 02/01/2018 10:14

Minimal symptoms for me too other than sore boobs but today I am pregnant and I intend to enjoy being pregnant. After suffering recurrent miscarriages like several of us, I really feel I need to try and stay as positive as possible. I know it might not stick but there's very little to be gained by spending the next however many weeks with crippling anxiety.

I'm going to ask for a scan at 6 weeks to hopefully see a heartbeat and again every 2 weeks and try not to panic.

Whilst I am symptom free I'm going to try and keep fit and active. My nausea last time kicked in and I could barely eat let alone think of exercising!

Bearsonstairs · 02/01/2018 10:47

@thereareworsethigsicould do so sorry to hear your news - hope you have some supportive people around you.

I’ve still got almost no symptoms, although I know they often don’t kick in until six weeks. Totally bizarre wanting to feel worse...
Although (sorry if TMI) DH and I did the deed last night and my orgasm gave me lots of cramps which is probably going to make me too paranoid to ever have one again!

I’ve got a couple of IC left which I’m doing every four- five days just to see line progression. I’ll stop when they’ve all gone though.

Mrs2812 · 02/01/2018 11:05

Hi everyone can I join this thread please :) estimated about 4 weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy with edd 10th September :)
I’m also anxious and keep poas ! It’s just so exciting!

Jfw82 · 02/01/2018 12:32

Oh gosh, I've had my first wave of nausea. I think I might've eaten my lunch too quickly! I forget our digestive system is slowing down. Must. Eat. More. Slowly!

CuppaSarah · 02/01/2018 14:23

Welcome Mrs congratulations!

My mum gave me some thin ginger biscuits from ikea for Christmas, I'm currently living on them and decaff tea. Haven't been sick again, but feeling sicky and rough. Hoping I can manage dinner tonight, feeling guilty I'm not getting much goodness.

Paranormalbouquet · 02/01/2018 14:24

is anyone else craving salt actually? I’ve just noticed that I’ve been adding salt to everything and I usually hate salty food.

rabbitsdontlayeggs · 02/01/2018 14:30

I've got no symptoms, but I didn't with my daughter either. Hope it stays that way and I dodge the sickness again. The only thing I've got is a headache but I know that's caffeine withdrawal and will pass in a few days. Decaf for me now!

rabbitsdontlayeggs · 02/01/2018 14:32

@Mrs2812 Your EDD is the same as mine!

Mrs2812 · 02/01/2018 15:15

@rabbitsdontlayeggs waves back so exciting has anyone booked early scans? I booked a private one at the end of jan because I don’t think it will sink in until I can see it! Should be around 7 weeks :)

I got horrendous car sickness yesterday on a New Years trip to the lakes ! I never get motion sickness so this must be pregnancy related! Enjoying all the symptom spotting already it’s all exciting.

I have a horrible Diet Coke addiction and I’m trying to cut down now so I have a bad headache today from withdrawal haha :(

muffyduffster · 02/01/2018 15:25

Hello everyone! Mind if I join? BFP this morning after a BFN on New Year's Eve! I have a 13 month old already.
On the app but here are my vital stats;
MuffyDuffster - age 38 DC #2 EDD 11/09/18 team yellow

Fia256 · 02/01/2018 15:54

I've not got one booked yet, but I'm going to the drs in the morning and I'll get a early scan on the nhs at 6/7 weeks. I'm then going to book a private one for around 9/10 weeks

Welcome @muffyduffster

CheekyPearl · 02/01/2018 15:59

Sorry guys I just jumped on this thread without asking. This is my first time - both pregnant and on these forums. Both are overwhelming! Sorry if that was rude!

Namechangedtoscream · 02/01/2018 16:11

Ok so I'm exhausted!! Just finished work and have no idea how I'm going to last the next few weeks!

FannyTheFlamingo · 02/01/2018 16:14

@muffyduffster I've got a 13 month old as well! Slightly panicking about how tough it's gonna be.

muffyduffster · 02/01/2018 16:14

Thanks Fia!
And it's just a figure of speech, @CheekyPearl, if you don't invite yourself on, who will?!

muffyduffster · 02/01/2018 16:15

@FannyTheFlamingo Confused terrifying! But as I'm getting on a bit I thought we should start trying, DH is (fake) disappointed that it was the first cycle!

FannyTheFlamingo · 02/01/2018 16:20

@muffyduffster same here, I'm 38 too, but been TTC for 7 months. Thought it wouldn't happen, then I was ecstatic that it did, now I'm feeling like I'd be able to run around after 2 toddlers a lot easier if I was 25!

Fia256 · 02/01/2018 16:22

@Namechangedtoscream me too! Got back from work earlier and I'm now lying on the bed trying not to fall asleep!
