Thanks ladies, for all the well wishes.
Here name is Amayah and she had a great first night, they only picked up a bit of jaundice which means she now has a light on her incubator.

Thank you all again, and I look forward to seeing all the baby announcements in june😊.

ElizabethLemon · 27/02/2018 09:20

Heregoeseverything · 27/02/2018 18:10

Congratulations and lots of love to you and little Amayah @Mummyloves09

Mummyloves09 · 28/02/2018 08:59

Good morning Ladies,

Just a quick update baby Amayah is doing very well. Now feeding on colostrum and having wet nappies and poo nappies. She is very active and the jaundice uv light is going off later on. The oxygen they are supplying her is minimal 21%. So far so good, I can't believe what progress she has made since birth (only 2 days old)

I was feeling slightly down as the reality of her being in NICU kicked in however, this news keeps me going no matter how tired or worn out I feel.

ClareB83 · 28/02/2018 09:06

That's great @Mummyloves09. Amazing for just two days old!

Hi guys,

Been lurking for a while, feeling brave enough to join in if there’s room for another one!

We’re expecting a wee boy, due on 21st June. IVF baby, and it’s our first. It’s been a rollercoaster, and continues to be, so I thought I might join in to keep me sane!

mummyloves I’ve been reading your updates - huge congrats! Such a beautiful name, and so pleased to hear she’s doing well!

Bluesnail · 28/02/2018 09:25

Congratulations @Mummyloves09 so glad to hear your beautiful daughter is doing so well! What a gorgeous name Smile

Fabulous news Mummyloves its great to hear that baby amayah is doing so well xx

ClareB83 · 28/02/2018 10:50

Welcome @dinksandbinks and congratulations!

I just had my newly ordered weekly check up and as predicted my blood pressure was fine because the midwife didn't rush it like they do at twin clinic ("here pregnant woman, climb two flights of stairs, pee in a jar and then be relaxed").

I got a general check up though so not complaining and got to hear boys' heartbeats. They were a bit fast but midwife wasn't concerned, maybe because they were both mid wriggle.

Also my bump has grown so I'm hoping the boys have too. Scan is next week.

Thanks @ClareB83!

I have the same issue with my BP; in the consultant clinic it’s really high as I’m always running from one room to the next. They want me to take aspirin, but at home and at the midwife clinic my BP is seriously low, and the aspirin is making me faint! If only midwife and consultant would talk to each other :)

Twin boys... amazing!!! Congratulations!!

ElizabethLemon · 28/02/2018 11:49

So glad Amayah is doing so well, she’s a star @Mummyloves09!

Keep warm and safe everyone. It was like an ice rink on the school run this morning,
I made sure we left a good 10 mins extra to get there because I knew I’d be walking like a penguin.

Heregoeseverything · 28/02/2018 11:59

Great update @Mummyloves09 !

I have bailed on all plans involving exiting the house. Public transport is grim at the best of times...

How is everyone sleeping? I was doing pretty well until this week, I now wake up several times a night needing to adjust my whole skeleton!

Feeling kicks is just the best thing ever. I think it must be a bit weird for men not having the same level of connection.

ClareB83 · 28/02/2018 13:15

Thanks @dinksandbinks!

@Heregoeseverything I've not been sleeping all that well. I think I'm being a bit silly.

Basically I always slept on my side but not at a 90 degree angle, more turned into the mattress than that. Recently if I do that the boys wriggle and jiggle like they're saying "get off me". So I've been trying to sleep at 90 degrees with a pillow between my legs to stop my knees hurting. But it hurts my shoulders and hips and isn't comfy. (Plus I have the carpal tunnel.)

I know they should be well protected in there, but I don't want to squish them!

I’m really struggling with sleeping :( I get pressure pain in my hips if I sleep on my sides, and also have SPD so turning is a nightmare. And if I get to sleep I have horrific nightmares all night!! And here was me trying to bank sleep before the baby comes Grin

ClareB83 · 28/02/2018 13:28

Pregnancy nightmares are awful. I had loads in the first trimester, mainly about miscarrying.

It's calmed down now but still have the odd one where I've left the babies unattended or something.

@ClareB83 @Dinksandbinks

@Clare I totally understand the tummy thing, especially as you have two little bodies in there! Actually I've found myself sleeping more in that side/front way recently, I think it's a comfort thing. I did wake up in a panic one night in that position, with a sudden sickening fear (I think combined with the nightmare I'd just woken from) that I'd killed the baby...

I've generally been having fewer miscarriage dreams recently, they are so horrible. But having bizarre, trippy dreams. Last night I dreamt that my mum handwashed Scary Spice's red tinsel front door mat and ruined it, and as I was apologising to Scary Spice I saw a tornado going down the street which was carrying large quantities of dirty wellington boots and Bird's Eye potato waffles...!!

dinksandbinks · 28/02/2018 13:49

@Heregoeseverything that dream is nuts!! Mmm waffles. Might have to have waffles tonight!!

My dream last night was being trapped on a military ship with a serial killer, who was tied up in a lot of electrical wires, and I kept getting electrocuted if I touched anything metal... which was everything!! It ended as I was weaving a hammock out of rope so I wouldn’t have to stand on the metal floor.
