Hello ladies, I had my scan on Monday and all healthy. The only thing was it took 45 mins and 2 sonographers to tell us our baby 'might' be a girl, but they really were not certain. Baby was sat with legs together and cord between the legs! We are calling her a she for now, and will just wait to see if she comes out with extra bits Grin Everyone has been asking if I'm disappointed and having another scan to make sure, but I really don't mind, just knowing all measurements and checks were done and the baby is healthy, that's all I was worried about. Time is flying by now! I hope everyones scans go well.

Hello ladies! Just popping in to say hi again! Hyperemesis disappeared Christmas Eve- yayy! Am 20 weeks on Friday with our anomaly scan booked for 5th Feb. So exciting! Feeling some little nudges mainly in the evenings which is lovely. Is any one else absolutely shattered?? X

Mummyloves09 · 24/01/2018 09:27

@intelinside and georgiporgi congratulations, great to see good news all around.
Yes oranges I'm absolutely shattered I go to be at 8pm and on the weekends latest 10pm.

Heregoeseverything · 24/01/2018 10:32

Congratulations on your healthy scans all, wonderful news.

Thank you to everyone who posted after my midwife appointment on Monday - I have just made a complaint, I'm not sure I would have had the courage/conviction to do this without your supportive messages, so thank you!

Cookie1831 · 24/01/2018 17:11

Good!!! What did you say? Can you let us know the outcome?x

ClareB83 · 24/01/2018 17:11

Had a rescan today to look at the birth lace bra and membrane. And they've confirmed we're having identical twins!

They had a new funky scanner that was much clearer.

Ummm placenta not "birth lace bra".

ElizabethLemon · 24/01/2018 17:30

@ClareB83 hahaha I really wondered what you meant then, I thought maybe it was a medical term I was unaware of! How lovely that your boys will be identical.

@Heregoeseverything I’m glad you said something, I know it’s not easy sometimes.

I’ve just had a bath and then been lazing in bed reading. The baby has decided to spin around like crazy, I got a really weird sensational a minute ago and thought I was going to wet myself!

ClareB83 · 24/01/2018 17:41

Boys are lying in a + shape today, belly to belly. Makes my bump 1.5" bigger than when they're side by side! And they're soooo wriggly!!

I'm really starting to struggle with my commute! Only 20 weeks 😦 think it's just this week hopefully.

Also, I feel very bruised by my sonographer yesterday where he was really pushing very hard and feel really upset by it today. I was reading that for larger ladies it can hurt more because they need to push harder but so surely shouldn't bruise like it has. Very uncomfortable now.

I'm also getting upset with my husband in an illogical way. He told friends we had over for dinner he had a slight preference for a boy but now it's a girl, I feel really pissed off with him saying that. I know he'll obviously love our daughter but it's really pissed me off he said that to our friends.

ALSO. Haha, rant alert: he has not read the book I got him about pregnancy and he has not looked at any equipment we need our cots etc. He said that's what they'll tell us at the NCT class 😣 this is a man who spends a whole weekend researching broadband providers and car insurance to make sure we get the best deal. And he had not looked at anything we need.

I know I'm being unreasonable but it's really annoying me. I know he is excited so I wish he'd act like it.

ClareB83 · 24/01/2018 19:08

I'd be pissed of too @Intelinside - things like car seats need research and he's perfectly well equipped to do it. So get on with it!

I was sore after 20 week scan for a couple of days, but it was tough getting all the angles so I'm just glad they got it done.

Northernbeachbum · 24/01/2018 19:13

@Intelinside I felt the same after my scan yesterday, she was pushing so hard it hurt at the time and I'm feeling beaten up a bit today

We've not really looked at what we might need, but if anyone still needs a pram online4baby website has an amazing sale on. We got a cossato giggle 2 with everything (rain cover, isofix base, car seat the works) for £300 under rrp just because it's last year's colours. Loads of other brands on sale too and other products. I think they might be like the TX Maxx of baby stuff

Since the scan I've been online window shopping for him for clothes.......and may have bought him a few bits Blush

Intelinside · 24/01/2018 19:31

Wow, that's great northern. What colour? I don't understand what colour is what on that list 😂 I'll check it out properly OR nag my husband to do it...

Northernbeachbum · 24/01/2018 19:36

www.online4baby.com/cosatto-giggle-2-combi-3-in-1-travel-system-berlin that colour but they have others on there I think. I liked that one as I figured black might lòok clean longer.....We will see

Intelinside · 24/01/2018 19:38

I love the fjords one! Just worked out how to get it to show me the colours. I've sent link to husband, let's see what happens!

Northernbeachbum · 24/01/2018 19:42

I love those too but they were £100 more so I couldn't justify it. I like the hygge houses one too!

Shutupanddance1 · 25/01/2018 08:24

Lovely news about all the scans - I still have a week yet to wait for mine!

I remember on my 1st pregnancy, the 20 week scan was tender on the tummy as they need to be able to get up close I suppose. My OB did warn me beforehand so maybe it’s very common?

I’ve no pram to buy this time round but I need to get my bum in gear and look for a buggy board for our DD1 as she will be 2 by the time we have bubs.

HoneyBee92 · 25/01/2018 11:46

Just been having a lovely read through everyone's posts, it's been a while since I said hello! Glad to hear everyone is doing well and enjoying their scans.

I'm 18 weeks today and at my 20 week scan I'll be nearly 21 weeks, so still got a bit of waiting around to do! I didn't realise it can leave you feeling a bit tender, thanks for the heads up.

I'm due at the end of June, so it's nice to hear people a few weeks ahead of me feeling lots of movement. I've had one flutter so far and I'm so keen to feel more.

Alice0606 · 25/01/2018 15:42

Dh felt a kick for the first time last night! It was lovely to be able to share it with him. :)

ClareB83 · 25/01/2018 16:30

Yay @Alice0606n!

OP posts:
Northernbeachbum · 25/01/2018 17:34

Awww amazing @Alex0606n, did he get excited?

Alice0606 · 25/01/2018 17:49

@Northernbeachbum Yes!

It was really funny actually! He’d been asking when I thought he might be able to feel a kick so as bump was being very active I got him to come and feel. Then bump kicked really hard and dh jumped! I think he was expecting something more subtle 😂

When we went to bed he fell asleep with his hand on bump, hoping for a repeat performance. 😍

Has anyone’s bump got a name? We mostly call him bump atm, although he did get called Maximus for a day or two after a friend said that obviously had to be a front runner for his name!

HoneyBee92 · 26/01/2018 09:21

@Alice0606 how far along are you? Sounds wonderful!

We call ours Bug, not sure why but we picked it up from the moment we found out. We aren't finding out the sex either so it's nice to have something other than saying 'it'. Even our friends are using the name Bug and I have a funny feeling it could stick for some time after the birth!

Alice0606 · 26/01/2018 15:17

@HoneyBee92
I’m 21+2 so about 3 weeks further along than you.

Hopefully you’ll be feeling and sharing some more movements and kicks soon! I love feeling my boy move. 😀

Alice0606 · 26/01/2018 15:20

Oh and bug is really cute, I love it!
