intel sorry if I have duplicated something on list but what about blanket, towels, nappies, nappy sacks, water wipes (god send no faffing with cotton wool and water) bottles cheap steriliser and some formula as back up in case breast feeding doesn’t work, maternity pads, baby wash x

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:27

Yep duplicate of nappies!

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:29

We just used a wee free room thermometer that came with gro bag not a posh one I would recommend a decent thermometer for baby though for after jabs etc

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:31

I took some very old pants that I didn’t mind ruining for after giving birth, dark towel so blood after shower doesn’t freak you out and put cartons of full sugar Rubens in the freezer for during labour a wee sip of ice cold sweetness was heaven!

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:31

Sorry a million posts I love lists 😂

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:32

Ribena not Rubens
I will shut up now

SylvesterTheCat · 03/01/2018 20:35

I love the Ribena ice cubes idea. Is there somewhere at hospital to keep them cool or do you just put them into a cold/freeze bag?

Also I wouldn't have thought of the dark tile and old pants etc. Thank you @Cookie1831

SylvesterTheCat · 03/01/2018 20:35

Towel not tile.

Cookie1831 · 03/01/2018 20:42

I just put the cartons in the freezer and grab them as you leave for hospital and they slowly defrost in your hospital bag In my first labour they were good and cold for at least 7 or 8 hours and that was in summer time x

ClareB83 · 03/01/2018 20:44

My fingers are so fat we just had to reserve a wedding band two sizes bigger than the one we ordered two months ago 😢.

I just can't face trying to put it in on my wedding day and it getting stuck at the knuckle!

I don't have a list but I do have an excel spreadsheet with several tabs 🙄. Me and OH love a spreadsheet.

Awesome work with the spread sheet x

Mummyloves09 · 03/01/2018 21:06

@intelinside that is a great list. I will take a picture tomorrow (when I find it lol)

I feel like there is so much to get and every now and then (every couple of days) I have a mini panic attack. I dunno why really there is plenty of time.

18 week midwife appointment tomorrow. Has anyone else seen their midwife between 16-18 weeks?

Intelinside · 03/01/2018 21:08

Thanks for extras cookie! Glad the list was helpful for some of you too.

I've got my 16 week appt next week when I'll be 18+1 weeks. Did you have a 16 and an 18 week meeting?

ClareB83 · 03/01/2018 21:17

Here's my list - although obviously it has two of most things since it's twins. Things in grey we've already been given, everything else is still to get. If we need to formula feed than I also have the Tommee Tipper Perfect Prep Machine on my list.

bloody hell ClaireShock 24 grow bags? That is organised!

Northernbeachbum · 03/01/2018 21:24

Oooh thanks for the lists, I'm trying not to buy anything else until after the 20 week scan Hmm

ClareB83 · 03/01/2018 21:26

I figure one each, and one spare each, in each tog. After all they'll be 0-6 months from summer to winter. And obviously 6-18 months for a full year.

Plus we've been gifted the 6-18 month ones. So only need to get the 0-6 month ones.

@intelside I didn't have 2 appointment that's the bracket I saw on my paper between 16 - 18 weeks midwife app

Northernbeachbum · 04/01/2018 08:49

I'll be 18 weeks at mine too intel I think Christmas just meant things are a bit later than normal

Kizzy2017 · 04/01/2018 11:57

Hi there,

This is a query for any London based Mums to be. I am due 4th June - first baby!! We are moving to London from Ireland when I am around 26 weeks and Im worried this is very late for mid wife appointments , NCT classes etc.

How many midwives appointments would you have by 26 weeks. I will bring my file over from Ireland.

Also when is the best time to do NCT classes. I am keen to do these to meet other Mums as I wont know anyone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also is there a June babies facebook page. Im in one in Ireland but cant see one for UK. Super handy. Any facebook pages / groups that you would recommend I join.

Thanks

thumbelina03 · 04/01/2018 14:53

NCT classes - I've signed up already for my local ones and the ones for June babies in my area start in April and finish in May.

ClareB83 · 04/01/2018 15:08

Hi @Kizzy2017 I'm a London mum to be. I'm not sure about NCT, but my local NHS classes are the first three Wednesdays if the month. I was planning on doing the ones in March.

I see my midwife at 20 weeks, 24 weeks, 28 weeks and then every couple of weeks I think.
