DD1 is doing something she has NEVER done before ...... coming out of her room saying: "I don't want to go to bed, I want to play." Both DH and I have had a go putting her to bed now and she hasn't opened the door for a few mins, so hopefully that is it ... how odd; particularly as she's not fallen asleep at all today and has been at Pre-School this morning and running round a play park all afternoon!!

Mmmmmmm .......

Congratulations!! To LLL on the Birth of Ethan Morgan .... Nice one matie - Looking forward to hearing more details etc soon!!

zazas and weeonion - We are counting on YOU!! Come on babies!!

1B3 - Hope feeding improves with wee Zed - at least he has put on and not dropped - small mercies!! You and ooogggs are inspirational!!

Bumble - Yey for your parents being over from Aus now - hope they recover sufficiently for them to help you out lots and lots before and after bubbba comes .... Hope the suitcases turn up soon too!!

I am ok - just exhausted - DD's have been hard work today. esp DD2 who seesm to get a right old bee in her bonnet about EVERY tiny little thing - getting dressed, getting undressed, eating breakfast / lunch / dinner, getting her shoes on, getting her shoes off, getting in the car seat, getting out of the car seat, having raisins, not having raisins ... you name it, she has a MAJOR meltdown about it!! .... and that is not over-exagerating. It really is quite scary!!

Anyway - I am tired, but ok .....

Good evening everyone

I'm going to post my birth story on announcements and then copy it - can't do twice!!

Well - I have to say I have fallen in love Ernie is soooo cute and adorable - just completely perfect He is feeding really well - my milk has started to come in already and he seems a natural at it so I am just going with the flow and feeding him when he wants to. His poo has already started to change to yellowy so he is def feeding properly!

He has been awake alot due to the feeding but have with dh home have been catching up and the boys go back to school/playgroup tomorrow so will have more time again.

He has been wearing a mixture of cloth and moltex so far - first nappies were his weenotions which are mega cute but may just fit him til the end of the month! Changed his nappy on my bed last night and he pooed everywhere - nice! Have forgotten what a faff wipes are and have started using my washable ones.

The afterpains have been a bit of a shocker this time but haven't been peeing myself like did last time and my stitches are fine.

I haven't got much longer so off to do birth story - someone please link for me!!!!

Congrats to others ... need to go read emails/threads!!

nellyhel · 18/04/2007 20:15

Congratulations LLL! Well done . I've had an 8lb 9 and an 8lb 10, so expecting 8lb 11 this time too .

ECA - sending loads of labour vibes, hope things keep going for you and it doesn't take too long! (Send the vibes back when you are done - I'm still waiting on the painful part starting despite being hardly able to walk this afternoon and huge amount of show... seems to be doing everything except actually starting labour...)

charNbump · 18/04/2007 20:18

eca - how's things going?

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:21

Hi Octo! Great to "see" you honey - Glad everything is going so well with Wee Ernie - Great stuff .... Long may it continue .... Definitely a washable wipes thumbs up from DipsVille too - bloody lifesavers (and money savers too )

eca · 18/04/2007 20:30

just gonna get in bath for a bit. Still coming ever 7mins & hurt a lot! Think I might be in for a long night though as it's my first baby. Or maybe it will all go off... I don't know!

Hi octo - hope your appearing now isn't a sign I'm in for a long one!! Glad to hear everythings going so well with ernie! xx

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:32

Oooooh, eca - hope it is nice and quick from here on in honey .... Can't WAIT to hear your wonderful news .....

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:33

I'm hungreeeeeeee .........

Bugmum · 18/04/2007 20:35

Hi all,
Octo - great to hear all is going so well! And Congrats to our new mums (two today?).

I have gone quite mad, and ordered a selection of cloth nappies. I'd always meant to switch to cloth after a few weeks with DS...and here I am doing so over two years later! Just call me Speedy. I've bought some disposables for the new baby, as I intend to use those for the first two or three weeks, but then it is all systems go for cloth. Ooooooooh, so cute!

Funny - I've always been a bit of a knit your own lentils type: no meat, organic fruit and veg, big on breast feeding (though only for self, I hasten to add; am not the sort to shout 'Get yer tits out for the bubs!'), public transport and walking fan etc etc, so why I've managed not to go the cloth route before, I have no idea. Anyway, thanks to all you real nappy addicts for your inspiration!

Labour vibes to all who want them (including me). Oh, and Best luck for anyone who needs it for tomorrow xx

Katy44 · 18/04/2007 20:48

CONGRATULATIONS LLL

Katy44 · 18/04/2007 20:49

And good luck eca - sounds very promising

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:50

No, just one bubba born today honey!

Just put some chips on an tidied up a bit too.

DH is out doing some maths tutoring so I am all alone ....

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:50

Hi katy!!

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:51

Well, just one bubba born today SO FAR .... Go eca!! Let's see if we can't sqeeeeze this one out by midnight, eh!!!?

Emmymummy · 18/04/2007 20:53

Just popping in to say hello. No I haven't popped today - as if I would forget to text my buddy if I did!!!

Congratulations LLL - great news.

And good luck Eca - hope it's all progressing well for you....

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 20:54

Hi Emmymummy! Still intact then?? Just like me ....

Katy44 · 18/04/2007 20:56

Hi CD, I'm fine thanks. It's been a slow day on MN so I've managed to get quite a bit of housework done for a change! Only the kitchen cupboards to do now (then I'll have to mop the floor). I even did the ironing I've been going on about for ages - it's not as bad as I remember (and I haven't ironed since before I got pg, no exaggeration!)
How's your day been? Are your DDs in bed yet so you can relax??
Isn't the 21st of April the longest day (or the first official day of spring?). Nice for whoever gives birth on saturday!

Emmymummy · 18/04/2007 20:56

Hi CD. Yes still here, nothing doing apart from bloody pains and backache....booooo

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 21:00

Well hopefully it is the "start" of something for you EM ....

Yes, katy, DD's in bed and chips in the oven .... hurrah ..... life doesn't get much more exciting than this .... Glad it has been a productive day for you honey!

Would be most excellent to give Birth on Sat as the 21st is my BIL's Birthday and it would really annoy him if LO usurped his special day!! (We get on really well .... can you tell!!? )

Pesha · 18/04/2007 21:03

Congratulations LLL

Good luck Eca - if they're hurting alot then i would think its the real deal

Mine are all over the place timing wise but lasting longer and hurting more than before but still not enough!!

Tried the nipple stim last night, dp did about 5 mins and I had the most almighty 'oh my god give me drugs' type contraction that lasted about 2 mins but that was it, just the 1 then I fell asleep!! Keep reading things by Klaw and lulumama about sex and nipples being the way to go and about taking sperm orally being as good as vaginally. Am seriously considering this, and chances of dp agreeing hugely increased if its oral
Also read that artificial prostoglandin is made from pig semen - YAK

Emmymummy · 18/04/2007 21:04

Mmmmm chips, yum! Am just scoffing some lovely ice cream. See am eating as much unhealthy stuff as poss as soon (very soon) will be on a diet. Might as well make the most of having an excuse to stuff my face.

Katy - can't believe your cleaning frenzy. Can you pop over here please as I do not have any cleaning urges at all.

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 21:06

Ooooh, yes .... Chips!!

Emmymummy · 18/04/2007 21:07

Pesha - that really is enough to put you off being induced. How the hell do they 'harvest' pig semen? I really don't want to think about it (barf).

CaptainDippy · 18/04/2007 21:13

STOP IT!!! I am eating chips ......

(AND I've been induced ... barf ....)

Pesha · 18/04/2007 21:14

They get Rebecca Loos (sp) to do it dont they!!

Ahem, sorry.

Its good being informed but I think there are some things you're better off not knowing! Which is obviously why i choose to share it with all of you
