Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Katy44 · 17/04/2007 17:00

A week! I was hoping to sit in the hospital bed watching them deflate!
Mine aren't too bad, shoes just fit, but then I've always been a 7 / 7 1/2 and shoes are 8. Putting on socks is an ordeal and I've had to take off my wedding ring.
Hope the weather stays warm or you will look silly!!

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 17:01

No swelling here...... Its because I'm "petite".... and look like a beachball...

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 17:01

GMM- yes especially when it was snapped deliberately and with malice (just cos I said I wouldn't share the proceeds of my baguette holder )

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 17/04/2007 17:01

42 inches and I am 5 foot 6.

GMM, pmsl at being stitched from arse to elbow! What a thought!!

What I would like to know is whether there is a correlation between shoe size and ease of birth.

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 17:05

SOSPL - is that our shoe size, or the father's?

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 17:06

god i hope not - i'm a size 4

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 17/04/2007 17:07

EM, ours. I heard that if you have larger feet, birth is easier.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 17/04/2007 17:08

GMM, I am a 4.5.

maveta · 17/04/2007 17:09

Oh no, all these measurements.. I am officially boggled (I think that is more or less what boggled would look like). No swelling here yet...but I´m not counting any chickens..

Katy - Katy - how DARE he... your invention! The bloody cheek of it!

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 17:09

I nearly posted something rude then, but just stopped myself . Never heard that theory before. Am a size 6 and had a straight-forward delivery last time.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 17/04/2007 17:11

Oh Emmy, need something rude posting. I am soooo incredibly bored.

finbarr · 17/04/2007 17:15

if it's rude you're after, there was a thread in chat earlier about a potential boyfriend warning his willy was too big, and it had scared of women in his past (men are pathetic boasters aren't they?)
will go and attempt to find real title............

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 17:15

No, no, no, will not get myself into trouble for saying rude things. This is obviously because I usually work in a male-dominated environment where it is perfectly acceptable, or even positively encouraged to be as obnoxious and shocking as possible. Am obviously missing that aspect of work!

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 17:16

Hey heidle/finbar - nice to see you again!!!

I often thought about you as I was passing hexham on the way to my mums!! Glad you are back!!

WestCountryLass · 17/04/2007 17:17

I can't find Octos post on her labour or any baby details - boo hoo

Congratulations though Octo!!!!

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 17:18

Finbarr, that sounds fascinating, looking forward to reading that! I once worked with a girl who had to dump her boyfriend as she said his willy was too big and it was just too painful to continue seeing him! Can you imagine?

finbarr · 17/04/2007 17:22

sorry, it's in relationships, and it's called 'how big is too big'
sounds like a whole load of showing off to me!
PYSL

finbarr · 17/04/2007 17:24

ahh, thanks GMM, it has been a while, sorry!
did you spot the new waitrose in hexham? I've not been yet - don't trust myself not to overspend, but my brother loves to go bargain hunting just before closing....
am looking forward to (hopefully) giving birth in swanky new hexham hospital. it's lovely and new and clean, and apparently the food is great! might stay for a fortnight........

geordiemacminx · 17/04/2007 17:28

have to admit we havent been to Hexham in ages - we are always either on the way to mums and in a rush to get there, or on our way home, so again in a rush to get there too. As soon as we have the little one we are going to take him for a lovely walk along the river though!!! Hopefully you Katy and I could do a meet up at the metro some time?

Katy44 · 17/04/2007 17:30

Yeah - north east meet up!!

Emmymummy · 17/04/2007 17:32

Finbarr - ROFL with that thread! Especially Peanutbutter's comments. Love it

finbarr · 17/04/2007 17:41

meet up sounds great. am going to tyne green tomorrow after school with ds1's friends and their mummies for a bbq! will be thinking of you as I try to coax kids back into car after....

oooh, DH is out tonight, so have just had treat kids tea with my boys - sausage chips and onion rings, followed by vanilla ice-cream with chocolate buttons (bad mother - I did make them have peas too!)

CaptainDippy · 17/04/2007 18:29
