I'm glad to hear about the sleep Lesley, also that the funeral was nice (well as they can be).

Katy44 · 19/04/2007 08:11

Katy44 · 19/04/2007 08:16

My mum has just emailed me in a panic as she came out of the gym to find 2 missed calls on her mobile and when she rang it back it was switched off. She's probably on her way up here as we speak!

geordiemacminx · 19/04/2007 08:27

geordiemacminx · 19/04/2007 08:34

most private places can usually fit you in within a day ortwo...think mines is £30 for an hour but hey- i'm desperate!!

charNbump · 19/04/2007 09:19

weeonion - DUE DATE BUDDY - fingers crossed for you chicken!!! i have to say i'm v.of you, but still, totally would like you to have your LO!!! How exciting. Send me some labour vibes toooooooooo.......i sure as hell need summit!

Ha, on a diff note i "seduced" last night.....if that's what you can call it! I tell u this, i definately will NOT miss the awkward, uncomfortable UNsexiness that is sex when pregnant!!! I feel like a big,fat marshmallow whose trying to b sexy

anyhoo, hoping it will work so fingers crossed!

Katy44 · 19/04/2007 09:26

OK, finally measured my bump - 47.5 ins. How do I compare - is he a big one or a little one?

charNbump · 19/04/2007 09:39

katy mine was 41.5 inches so its bigger than mine, but still, i dunno what the general concensus was?

IsabellyMoi · 19/04/2007 09:43

CONGRATS TO LLL on the wonderful baby news!!! Welcome to the world Morgan
Also LOVED OCTO's birth story!

I may finally be joining Pesha, WO, Eca, Nellyhel, Zazas, Charnbump and anyone else who is waiting hopefully and getting promising signs!!!! Labour vibes to all of us!

I am 41 +1 today and would be SO thankful and relieved if what I'm feeling turns out to be the start of something. I'm not desperate to get this baby out b/c I'm sick of pregnancy - just feeling threatened by the looming induction date.

I was awake with crampy pains and strong BHs and KNUF for what seemed like most of the night. I think my LO finally engaged - everything seems lower, and fuller and more painful. Hurts to stand now. Never in my life been more thankful for some pain. It isn't bad and it isn't contractions but it is HOPEFUL!

I went for a 3 hour walk around Kew Gardens yesterday - think the baby started descending/engaging about 2.5 hours into the walk.

My mom arrived from Canada last night. Maybe my body knew "Grandma's here, time to start some action."

Best of luck to everyone - seems like a lot of you are VERY close to baby action now!! Let's not do toooo much queue jumping - I was due on the 11th!

IsabellyMoi · 19/04/2007 09:46

My bump is 38 inches. But I've been on the small side throughout this whole pregnancy.

maveta · 19/04/2007 09:55

Morning! CONGRATS LLL! Another lovely little boy for the stats and a gorgeous name.. can´t wait to see pics..

Cleaned half of the kitchen cabinets yesterday and only got the top half left to do but our water is turned off until midday so can´t do anything, not even shower, until it comes back on. But that´s fine by me Might go watch a dvd or have a wee doze...

Had quite strong BHs yesterday from waking up until about 2pm and seemed like they were getting more painful but then they just completely stopped. Was my big sister´s bday yesterday so would have been so lovely if he´d have happened to come on the same day but t´was not to be. Subsequently felt a bit down for a couple of hours, as I seem to whenever I have these ´signs´ that come to nothing, but then cleaning the kitchen got my mind off it.

TENS should hopefully arrive soon so maybe baby is just waiting for me to be 100% prepared??

What are you all doing on this fine day?

nuttygirl · 19/04/2007 10:15

Morning all...congrats to everyone who's had their LOs. Haven't had time to catch up (or at least to take it all in!!!)

Feeling much better now, cold getting better. Ankles swelled the other night & had pain in left leg so went to hospital, don't think it's a dvt but have scan today to be on safe side. Am sure it's not tho cos swelling seems to have gone down.

Mum & DH have been doing a great job with baby to let me get plenty of sleep to get over illness. Planning on popping to the shops after scan for some fresh air.

LO has finally starting taking plenty of food (had to bottle feed as she just wasn't interested in sucking for first few days). We've struggled to find teats that suit her but seem to be doig ok now. Wishing really I'd made the hospital give her some FF in first couple of days to give her a bit more energy to suck. Think she may have taken to bf if I had...she just didn't have the energy.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

Octo...love the birth story...mine could have gone like that if I'd come home when they said I could!!!

CaptainDippy · 19/04/2007 10:41

Morning - DD2 finally down for nap - hurrah - coughing like a trouper though, poor wee thing - Why do they ALWAYS get the worse colds during the summer!!!? Poor thing.

..... to Everyone Who Wants Them, esp weeonion and ZaZas - keep thinking I am going to come on here and see an announcement from one of you two (or both) .... Come on babies!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 19/04/2007 10:43

Morning ladies.

Nutty, really glad you are on the mend. It is so awful feeling under the weather at any time, but with a newborn even harder.

Labour vibes to WO, Zaza's, Isabelly, Charnbump, Pesha, and in fact ALL OF US!

Zaza's, I can now hear the Big Brother commentary!

Lesley, lovely to see you, and I am so glad you got to your friends' funeral.

Maveta, hope you are ok today.

And, Eca, any news from you pet?

Nothing doing here. A few knuf moments, but nowt else. Just feel tired and lacking in energy all the time, and sooooooo bloody heavy everywhere.

B is a preschool this morning, and then we are meeting my parents and nephew at a farm place to feed some lovely calves, goats etc. Really looking forward to it, esp as the sun is shining again!

Have a lovely day everyone. xx

CaptainDippy · 19/04/2007 10:47

CaptainDippy · 19/04/2007 10:49

Hi SOSPL!! You sound a bit more positive today, which is good - hope you thoroughly enjoy the trip to the farm! DD2 hardly seems have any Evil Nitties left (hurrah); but DD1 is still scratching like a trouper ..... Bum. How's B's infestation??

runnyhabbit · 19/04/2007 11:02

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 19/04/2007 11:06

Hiya CD. Haven't dared look at the infestation - bad mummy! Will attack it tonight at bath time - looking forward to that debacle - not!

Hi Runny, you sound on top of the World! Lovely to see you.

CaptainDippy · 19/04/2007 11:10

Ooooh, stabbing pains in my abdomen ..... Thinking it is from over doing it or from needing to wee rather than anything else though ..... but one can always hope .....
