Hi Eca, Hope you feel better, horrible to vomit, Ive been feeling quesy lately but not actually been sick- keep trying to convince myself its a pre labour thing to make it seem better... dp made a disgusting smell the other day and it literally made me retch. which he found really amusing. (sorry TMI!~)

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/04/2007 11:35

GK, pmsl at your dp's "smell" making you retch! I know what you mean though - revolting bloddy creatres men are - I am sure mine don't smell that bad.

Tesco have just delivered, and they brought everything in to the kitchen for me! How kind is that. Seemngly the driver was told by his colleague (who normally does the delivery) that I was heavily pregnant and may need some help. I am bowled over by how sweet that is, and now feel all weepy again!

maveta · 16/04/2007 11:37

SOSPL - SAY NO TO IRONING!! Why do so many people iron? Such a hideous job. Revel in the wrinkles, they add character

SO with MoiMoiMoi Ltd. Ordered a present for a friend´s daughter (first birthday). I am so so notoriously bad with birthdays and ordered last week to make sure it would arrive in time, which by all accounts it should have. received email on wednesday saying it had been despatched (her bday was yesterday) and it was only going to Scotland.. I was so proud of myself for sorting it all out.

Then this morning I see that they charged my card TWICEand when I emailed them to sort it out they a) DENIED the double charge (which is clearly documented on my bank transactions) and b) said they have only just sent the pressie out TODAY.

maveta · 16/04/2007 11:38

sospl - that is really sweet esp. since delivery men aren´t always the most helpful of creatures! LOL at your dp GMM. Unfortunately in this house I am the worst perpetrator of strange smells and noises, and not just now that I´m pregnant

geordiemacminx · 16/04/2007 11:39

oooo I think a snotty phone call or letter is in order... might get some freebies!!

CaptainDippy · 16/04/2007 11:40

Ooooh, Congratulations!!! - To MIAMT!!!! Fantastic news - Robyn is SUCH a sweet wee name! Yippee!!

Great stuff...... now for octo .....

DD2 sleeps on .... hurrah!

Nutty - have emailed you!!

geordiemacminx · 16/04/2007 11:41

Wasnt my dp!!!! Although he is exactly the same - does them when I am out of the room.. forgetting that they linger so it hits me as soon as walk back through the door!!!

I havent NEVER made a smell in front of dp... how is that???

CaptainDippy · 16/04/2007 11:43

LOL - I am always "smelling" in front of mine!!

maveta · 16/04/2007 11:45

Sorry! Should have been Gk not GMM!! Oops.. sorry to your dp GMM for false accusation

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 11:46

Am I the only one who hasn't had ANY signs of upcoming labour yet?
Apart from, obviously, a great big bump which suggests it might happen in the next month or so!

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 11:54

Hi all,

Been lurking a little over the last few days and not posting - don't know where all you ladies get the time.... then again I havne't got a lap top and DS has wised up to when I'm on the 'puter and keeps turning the darn thing off!!!

Appart from some pathetically weak period type pains over the last few days and a bit of backache - I have no signs either. Can't believe it! I'd had my first by now and didnt get any of this pre labour nonsense, waters broke contractions started - baby came. Easy! Whats happening this time? Sod all thats what! Feel for you Katy!!

Congratulations to all of you who now have babies...am getting very green with . If I have to have one more mw appt where my mw says do you feel like baby has engaged I'll deck her - who is the MW...her or me, and how am I supposed to know!. Its the same one who asked me at 36 weeks pg.... are you getting any backache and discomfort... why yes, then again I am quite heavily pregnant so wouldn't expect anything else! Does make you wonder doesn't it!!!

Also just read nuttygirl's birth experience. can't beleive the attitude of that MW - its shocking and disgusting. I'd def. feel a letter coming on if I was treated that way! for you honey!

xxxx

eca · 16/04/2007 11:56

not even going to start about 'smells' might make me sick again!!!

maveta - my friend's fiance seems so much more interested in the baby than she does, wierd!! He is mega camp though (he would die if he knew i said that!!), however him asking if i'd had any contractions yesterday was just a little bit too much for me!!

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 12:06

Congratulations MIAMT! Lovely news, and Robyn is a gorgeous name. Hope we get to see some pics!

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 12:14

maveta · 16/04/2007 12:19

LOL LOL LOL @ that link. Good GOD! HMMM... Could anything make me feel more like a milk cow when I´m breastfeeding?? YES! An automatic double milker!

Eca - yes, it does seem a bit odd, when it comes from male friends? How terribly sexist of us..

Katy44 - I would be happy not to have any signs if I were you, especially as they don´t particularly mean anything, can be uncomfy and just get your hopes up for no reason. You´ll probably go from no signs to BABY!- Sounds good to me!

CaptainDippy · 16/04/2007 12:19

Hello LLL!

Don't worry katy - despite racing you to pack hospital bags, I am not sure i this bubba is coming soon or not - I hope so ..... !!!?

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 12:30

hello CD

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 12:31

opps spelling went a bit to pot there - can I blame it on pregnancy brain???!!

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 12:33

have found a way to entertain ds1 so can get on the PC...... bucket of water in garden and plastic food. he is now 'boiling' everything in sight (so he says) dunking everything in water and then putting it in a mini saucepan,..... must take after my nan with cooking like that! ... anyone for boiled dougnuts and grapes?!!!!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/04/2007 12:33

LLL, pmsl at "art in a bonett"!! Is that a baby's bonett or a car bonett??

Maveta, I would love not to do ironing, but feel so bad sending B off all scrumpled looking. It is one of my biggest hates.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/04/2007 12:34

God I need to check things before I post. I meant "fart" not "art"!

CaptainDippy · 16/04/2007 12:36

Right need to make DD's lunch and then off to a friends for the afternoon. Completely brain dead today, can't talk properly or concentrate on anything - can't cope with anything either - Head is not working AT ALL ..... Glad my friend has hcildren too and will be able to understand my current disablement!!

Lusciousladylush · 16/04/2007 12:38

i belive its bonnet as in babies bonnet.. something my nan used to say I remember...

Bugmum · 16/04/2007 12:47

MIAMT - Whoo-hoo!!!! Congrats, congrats, and such a lovely name. Talking of names, you'll need to change yours again now...

Pesha · 16/04/2007 13:01

Managed to have a sleep this morning which was great. Not sure what dd was up to but didnt hear a sound from her! Bless her she is a good girl really.

But now I had all these aches in the night and still feeling quite achey today and occassional BH im getting pissed off, is it starting or not ffs! So far my only bh have been a few hours in the evening then gone. Cant imagine how octos coped with weeks of it.
With dd I had BH all the thurs and fri nights that then stopped in the day but then sat night they carried on all sun til she was born mon morning and with ds it started at 6am ish and he was born midnight. I never had any of this messing about practise stuff, Ive doen it twice before, wtf does my body feel it suddenly needs to start practising now for

Sorry, rant over now!

Ds just came running in screaming theres a big spider in he garden and it will make webs on him! Bless him he's so soft!
Just had to go see to dd who fell over and as always screamed like she'd just broken a leg when actually she's barely marked but now have forgotten everything else i was going to say!
