Em - the white noise is great isnt it, only problem is alot of modern radios dont play fuzz when they're noy tuned in they're just quiet so had to take my radio alarm clock with me if ever we stayed at anyones house! And obviously the manipulation thing is just a sign of intelligence LOL at you crashing into a brand new merc, serves em right for having a brand new merc, flashy gits!!

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:44

Thank you Katy

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:44

he tried for a while in september when he was dry in the day but didn't work so went back to nappies. i've put a bed mat on top of the sheet so at least it won't be too drastic

gonna have to change my name, Katy has just got too damn good

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:46

I was trying ds without nappies at night a while ago but he sleeps so deeply he just wasnt waking up, even if he weed in the night he'd sleep through. Only way I knew was the smell in the morning! So have him back in nappies and he's staying in them whether he likes it or not

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:47

I'm not stalking you, I promise. Don't have enough time in between putting on socks and driving around aimlessly waiting for my waters to break

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:52

you're not that efficient tho Katy, i've jst done the Stats thread

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 20:53

Pesha - I thought the same about the Merc too! It was a lady driver and she started ranting at me, so I just climbed out of my car with my huge tummy and her face was a picture. She totally backed-down when she saw how pregnant I was. Probably scared of my hormones.....

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:54

I knew there was something I meant to do before! I can never get the numbers to add up anyway, the twins confuse me, even though I know they're there, and there's one of each in both pairs!
(sounds like a maths gcse question!)

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:55

Emmymummy - the phrase "giant boiled egg on legs - about to ATTACK" was probably on her mind

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:56

i changed it slightly to make that easier Katy, have a look, each twin now has his/her own entry!

need some honest opinions.

justin has now decided he wants Joe to be Joe Philip David or Joe David Philip.

My nephew has the middle name David as it is my dad's name.

Matthew is Matthew Philip James so i would want Joe's names to follow the same order.

i don't really want to put david in there but should i do it just to be fair?

Katy

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:59

Thats definitely one of the benefits of being so heavily pregnant

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 21:00

How much of a say do you want Justin to have? How involved has he been so far?

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 21:02

he's been shite so far.
my other dilemma is whether to put him on birth certificate
meeting his dad on thursday to discuss that with him

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 21:03

That stats thread is much easier for me to figure out.

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 21:04

Surely the two go together? (Birth cert. & say in name, or neither)
Is his Dad not just going to want him on the certificate?

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 21:04

Ellie - how involved is Justin planning to be in Joe's life? It seems to me that you've done all the hard work so far with little or no input from him (apart from the obvious), so the stubborn part of me says stuff what he wants. However, at least David is a nice name and has family meaning for you too, so not the end of the world and might encourage Justin to feel more part of Joe's life?

Sorry, I'm a Libran, I can never make decisions.

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 21:05

Ignore this if you don't want to go into it - I know he made it in time for the birth, but how much time / help has been since?

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/04/2007 21:05

Good Luck Liath!!!!

God, so many ladies popping all over the place - how exciting.

Ellie, good luck with the nappy free night - a good move putting the bed mat on top of the mattress - far easier to whip off and replace should needs be.

Hi EmmyMummy and Katy. It is so quiet on here tonight.

CaptainDippy · 16/04/2007 21:09

Hello!

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 21:10

he's been utterly useless but says he is getting car sorted so he can see joe more.

his parents however are lovely. i have explained that while i want him in Joe's life, i am concerned that putting him on bc gives him rights he doesn't yet deserve. they agree with me on that.

i could let him choose name withouut putting him on bc

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 21:10

the stubborn side of me says sod him too

Pesha · 16/04/2007 21:11

Putting him on birth certificate does now give him parental responsibility, didnt use to but they changed it couple years ago. He could get that anyway of course but would have to go to court and be quite determined.

Before dd started school I decided to change her surname so was the same as ds. She had my last name rather than her dads anyway because he never liked his name so he was gonna change it to mine before we split up. But i changed it no probs cos he has no parental responsibility so was nothing to do with him.

But that is a difficult decision to then leave him off is quite a big thing too.

Sorry thats absolutely no help at all
