not too bad, milk started coming in yesterday, he fed every 1-2 hours last night so not much sleep to be had here. (hence my silence today!)

settling down now, tho he still seems to be having problems getting his mouth wide enough, doesn't have my big gob

My buddy is bubblez but she's not been on much since she had her baby so not sure if I should text someone else too. Actually might text bubblez now and see what she thinks, dont wanna deprive her of her buddy moment, I was very excited when i got her text, but at same time dont wanna inconvenience her!

Sometimes I think I think too much

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:08

if not Pesha then you've got mine, i'm around tomorrow, or Katy's x

I remember that constant feeding, i dont like dummies really but both times ended up trying them out of desperation. DD was having none of it, think i could have convinced ds but decided him constantly dropping it so waking up was prob worse than constant feeding!

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:12

we have dummies. i too hate them but realised with Matthew that the constant scking would make me quit bf so took to dummy instead. he only had it at the end of feeds and had dropped it before his 1st birthday.

have given Joe one but last night was more because he couldn't feed very well with them being so full, and had to keep coming back.

Does your DP know mumsnet is a recognised form of pain relief for early labour??

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/04/2007 20:13

Pesha, good luck petal. Will be looking out for the news.

If Bubblez is up to her eyes in it, then I am happy to be your stand-in buddy. Let me know, and then I will email you my mobile number. I'll need your email address.

Ellie, hope you get a bettr nights' kip tonight. I have such admiration for you.

B was a pita tonight. She gets so hyped up and her latest annoying habit is pretend crying. It drives me absolutely mad.

Hope everyone else is ok. Back on later. xx

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:14

Thanks Ellie

Just had another one so thats every 20 mins now, not really consistent in strength though.

2Happy · 16/04/2007 20:17

Can't believe she hasn't been on already, so I'll steal her thunder

Dsis (Liath) has had her show and is contracting!

Soooooooooooo excited (and jealous! can't believe she only went 3 days over )

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:22

I was just wondering where liath was earlier today! Thanks for the update 2Happy!
Good luck liath - 2 more babies tomorrow then?

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:23

One for pesha as well - not both for liath, sorry if I scared you liath!

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:25

joe's got hiccups now

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 20:25

Wow, babies coming thick and fast now! Good luck and labour vibes to Pesha & Liath!

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:27

DP has fallen aslep now eastenders is on Forgot he normally sleeps all evening before work so i should have uninterrupted MN time till bout 9 o'clock

Thanks SOL, already have katy and Ellies mobile nos though so prob easier just to text them if I need to but thank you DD does the fake crying and she does it ds too. He had a toy she wanted so she asked he said 'no thanks' (I love when he says that!) so she burst into tears so he says 'ok here you are' and immediately tears stop and she's all smiles, she's so manipulative of him sometimes!

Dummies are one of those things id rather not but never say never, if it helps you and baby cope then it can only be good thing cant it!

The thing that really helped maia sleep as a baby was white noise, used to turn my radio on tuned to nothing and it worked a treat. 'The fuzz' we used to call it, she had it till she was about 2!

Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:31

Sorry last post was all over the place abit Hope it makes sense still!

Good Luck Liath

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 20:33

Pesha - am picking up similarities between Maia and my Emily, i.e. the fake tears and manipulation. And she also needed white noise to help her get to sleep when she was a baby (we ended up buying a CD that played white noise, but your idea of de-tuning the radio is fab). They are so funny aren't they?

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:34

would i be right in thinking the driving whilst pg thread is one i should avoid?

OP posts:
Pesha · 16/04/2007 20:36

DP woke up, took the remote control to other side of the room, put braniac on and has fallen asleep again!

Where was that contraction timer thingy, anyone remember? I keep forgetting what time they were but think its now been longer than 20 mins although this is what ds did so dont know why im bothering counting really. Just keep thinking this is all gonna fizzle out and ill have made all this fuss for nothing!!

Ooo here we go

Emmymummy · 16/04/2007 20:37

Ellie - depends on yor point of view really. The general consensus seems to be don't drive when heavily pregnant, which I personally think is a load of old poo. Mind you I did reverse into someone's brand-new Merc when 40wks pregnant last time, so maybe I should shut up!

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:37

It is interesting to see how many people say they wouldn't - it hasn't occurred to me. The only difference I feel between now and 2 months ago is that I can't wear my rings and putting my socks on takes 20 minutes!
How's the feeding going Ellie? Have you stopped for the hiccup break?

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:38

so me driving the 3 hr round trip to leicester the day after i was due would be classed as a bad thing then?

OP posts:
Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:39

contraction timer

Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:40

as long as you drove with your legs crossed I'm sure it was fine

EllieKthePA · 16/04/2007 20:40

matthew asked to go to bed without a nappy tonight. this could be fun, not

OP posts:
Katy44 · 16/04/2007 20:42

Oh no! Is this the first time he's done it? His timing is wonderful!
