Nutty's DH here

Had mesage from octo earlier - she's had a boy 9lb8 at 10.17. no time for pain relief, nearly born in car park. bit shakey but well and moving to the other hosptial this afternoon. Could I email someone her mobile number as nutty is ill and has no credit on her phone.

p.s. if nutty isn't on for a few days, don't worry as her parents are coming to help out.

Emmy, wouldn't it be great if it is a sign!! I am desperate to get on with things now.

Just a tip, but bought a fan today for the baby's room - we have one for Becky's room already. Just that when B was born it was mega hot, and we struggled to get one as there was a rush on them.

I'm resorting to watching films to keep me occupied today. Just watched Chocolat - all time favourite - to cheer me up.

mw just rang and the one I find difficult and who was really negative and quite nasty about my homebirth is coming tomorrow and will offer me a sweep. I feel a bit wierd about her doing it as she was so agressive with me before. Oh well, hey ho. We'll see how it goes. Also a student will be with her. Great, i'd love an audience!

maveta - i can understand the concerns re:driving because of the hypoglycemic (sp????) thing, but don't think women can/should just stop driving in late pregnancy. Anyway, glad to hear you had a lovely afternoon!

(The best possible day of the year to give birth of course).

Hello again from mr nutty

Katie - couldn't get the email to send, but it's ok because I've been a bit dim (something to do with lack of sleep) and forgotten that I also have a mobile phone... so a message to octo has been sent.

nutty's had a sore throat since wednesday but since this afternoon started with a bit of a fever; her skin has been v. hot and she's felt v. cold. MW thinks it could be a bit of an infection. nutty's mum has arranged to come down and stay & look after things for a few days... never been so pleased to have MIL to stay...

Congratulations!!! - To Octo on the birth of her wee man - fan"bloody"tastic news - really super - You have really been through it and I am soooo proud of you - Well done!!

DD's have been soooo good this afternoon - played nicely all afternoon at my friends and I just enjoyed chatting and lounging in her garden ....... Girls screaming now though - daddy conditioning their hair as the dreaded nits have come back with avengence. Un"bloody"believable ......

Bought Mod Roc from local art shop today - going to do a cast of the Bump tonight!!

CD, we have got the sodding nits back again as well. Used Hedrin over the Easter weekend and thought that had sorted it. I am finding it impossible to do the combing being so big and heavy, but dh is totally useless so Becky actually asks me to do it!

Glad the girls were good for you today . It makes such a difference doesn't it? x

CONGRATULATIONS OCTO

Well went for a drive with dp and kids, took some paracetamol before we went cos had really bad headache. Started having contractions every 20 then 10 then 5 mins, not very strong but then paracetamol prob had bit of an effect on that. Now we're home they seem to have slowed down again but definitely feel like things are happening. DP has decided to stay off work and i rang my mum to say I think its all happening but could just stop its not really what you'd call established but we decided it be best for her to come and get the dc now rather than wait and see and have to come out in the middle of the night. So Im all set now and they've slowed to every half hour but feeling abit stronger.

DD burst into tears just as my mum was about to drive off so we had a cuddle and she said dont forget her pic I said no id take it so i can look at it and think of her so then she wanted something to help her think of me so had to rush off and find some pics for her to take! Bless her she gets so emotional. Nath was just really excited about going to grandma and grandpas, everything else went straight over his head!

Ill do my best Really dp shoud have gone to work so I could have shared it all with you till it really got going but as he's here he's gonna try and chuck me off soon I think to play poker! And he wont sleep cos he's used to being up all night, typical bloody man, no consideration!

Getting abit stronger and abit closer now and seem to be having some in between that dont hurt but squash my lungs and stop me breathing!
