Wow!! What a day!!

Has been extremely exciting getting all the texts from Ellie, Katy and Emmy this PM!

I am knackered - trapsed round town with two rather fiesty, grumpy little madams this PM. Bought summer hats, sandles, sun creme etc - So feeling kitted out, but MY FEET HUUUUUURT!!

Right, best go and get ready to go out ......

Really do "Hit the Ground Running", don't I!!? Working tomorrow AM too!

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 19:26

I'll try and get DH to pop one of the ones you sent me to my mobile onto Member Profiles while I am out this evening, Ellie .....

zazas · 13/04/2007 19:29

Wow congratulations to all the new Mummies and their babies! What a day and still it seems such quick births.

Missed it all as I have been out walking and walking trying to bring my one on - are there any other over due Mothers out there????

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 19:32

Emmymummy · 13/04/2007 19:43

Ellie - congratulations on little Joe, can't wait to see the pics.

And huge congrats also to Nutty, Claricebean, Doghouse and (at last) Eddas. See Friday the 13th isn't so bad after all!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 13/04/2007 19:44

Ellie, really like the name Joe.

CD, I don't know how you do it. All I have managed to do today is put on 1 load of washing and hoover downstairs. That's it!
Have trouble walking to the car let alone round town!! Must be me age - staggers off with zimmer frame!

Come on Octo!!!

UPDATE ON EDDAS HARRY MICHAEL BORN 2.26PM
WEIGHT 8LB 3OZ
LENGTH 54.5CM

eddas staying in hospital tonight, from memory was 3 cm dilated at 10.45 am and 4cm at 1.15pm then fully dilated and pushing only took to 2.26pm. Was prepping for epidural but was to late so managed on gas and air.

She is looking great (feeling sore) and Harry is gorgeous and very awake and feeding brillantly. Have got some pics so will load them onto my profile and let you know when they are on there

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 19:46

Mumsnet just ate my post!

Anyway, it said Congratulations ladies, and that I thought the names were gorgeous. Can't wait to hear what Eddas calls her chap. The swiftish labours sound very good, as well. Much love and a little
xx

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 19:47

And there's my answer! Another good name

IsabellyMoi · 13/04/2007 19:49

Zazas you are not alone! I was due on Wednesday and fully expect to still be waiting for at least a week. Really would prefer to avoid an induction so, like you, am also trying lots of walking and swimming (and a little sex, pineapple and curry!). The baby's head isn't even engaged yet so who knows when things will happen.

Hang in there! I'm trying to enjoy the relative freedom and make lists and get things done...some days are better than others! I find making plans so I have places to go and things to do each day really helps.

Can't remember - is this your first?
Have a wonderful weekend

IsabellyMoi · 13/04/2007 19:51

Another excellent name! Nice choice Eddas

The April ladies all seem to have wonderful taste in names.

Keep them coming ...................

nellyhel · 13/04/2007 21:04

Huge congratulations to all the Friday 13th arrivals - lucky for some indeed!! Delighted to hear so many good stories, lovely names and baby pictures ! A day off the pc and I miss so much!

Am a little bit as am due today. Stomach pains and toilet trips continuing but think it is maybe just the baby squeezing on bits of me it shouldn't!

Someone mentioned phantom pregnancies... I feel a bit like that - is it ever going to happen or will I just be lugging about this basketball stomach for ever more? Feel bad for dd too, she was so keen for baby to come before she goes back to school. Still, couple of days left, I might make it yet... If not definitely need a sign for round my neck printed. If the woman in the local shop says "you'll be pushing a pram next time" once more I don't know what I'll do .

Have a good weekend and lots more babies please (everyone who's overdue and then me please!)

weeonion · 13/04/2007 21:28

well - what a day for the april crew.

CONGRATS to all new mums, nutty, eddas, clarice, doghouse and ellie.

very impressed with the birth tales and super speedy labours! are they all this quick? were the march ones so fast? it is giving me some reassurance that thoughts of 48 hr labours arent that common. quick and safe labours for the rst of us please!!

i thought we would have 5 today - any more to come?????

had a lovely day - met up with some work friends and sat in a park all day. they gave me a pedicure - sliver sparkley toenails with glittery stars ( i am 35 for christ sake! but cant really bring myself to remove them!) i have tan lines with freckles and tanned face!

heres hoping you are all well, relaxed and about to have the kind of weekends you want! xoxoxoxoxo

Pinions · 13/04/2007 21:38

CLARICE

NUTTY

ELLIEK

DOGHOUSE

and at last EDDAS !!!

Looking forward to more baby news, the numbers are getting fewer and fewer now!

Wishing you all the best and enjoy your precious first days with newborns xxx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 13/04/2007 21:39

E&H, the pics of you and your family and the one of baby Eddas are absolutely gorgeous. Brought tears to my eyes - hormonal emotional woman I am! Thank you.

WO, sounds like you had a lovely day. It was cloudy darn sarf.

So quiet on here tonight - I suppose all the new mummies are getting some kip!

Hope everyone is ok.
