I am having a MAJOR friday the 13th day here, don't want to go into labour now as it's bound to go horribly wrong.

Firstly decided to go for a lovely walk in the sunshine. Went up Arthurs Seat on my due date last time so decided to do it again (). Set off and in rolled the blooming sea fog, me in a t-shirt and by the time I got back (needless to say I didn't make it all the way up) I was absolutely FROZEN.

Seeing as the weather has turned so crap deicede may as well go to Sainsbury's. Dh fills the car up. WITH UNLEADED PETROL. It's a diesel car. OMG!!!! So he's still at the petrol station waiting to get towed to the garage & it's going to cost £200 so sort out . I've got a taxi back, dd is at nursery thank goodness and I'm just praying that I don't go into labour now!

You have to laugh, don't you. Just glad it was DH who did it not me.........

Eca - I was indeed lying in bed eating Easter Egg watching Midwifes on Discovery Home and Health at about 9am this morning! lol

Having V lazy day - just about to go to shop for a paper and intend to sit on arse in sunshine all afternoon (and keep an eye on all these babies!!)

Got my own back on Phil (was a bit nasty of me). I rang him for his credit card details as he left me with no money so couldn't go and get aunties B'day voucher sorted. Decided to do it online so as I say rang him but phone was OFF!!!!

So left a message asking him to ring me...when he did he was like are you ok? I said yes but my waters have gone...cue silence and then "What" panic....lol "are you joking" - I said YES but why is your phone off!!!!! lol

Aah but Emmymummy - that photo shows off what used to be (sob) my best asset i.e. my very flat tum. I would never post a photo of my calves and ankles for all to see. I can almost never find knee high boots that will close over my calves whereas my sister who is 2 dress sizes bigger than me has numerous pairs (the same pairs that I can´t do up). I´m a freakishly proportioned person, tis true

Poor guy, he tried to say he was distracted because I'm pregnant - surely that's MY excuse? I'm normally the dippy one LOL, totally out of character for DH to do something so silly.

Liath at your DH. That is exactly the sort of thing mine would do too. He has a very bad habit of breaking expensive items.

Maveta - well that makes me feel a bit better at least as my ankles are 'normally' quite boney. I think that's why I'm so distressed about their current appearance as am very concerned that they won't go back to their former selves. Even my knuckles are starting to disappear now .

EM, I take it you cancelled your lunch date? I cancelled mine - too knackered to do anything!

SOSPL - yes I cancelled. My friend was fine thank goodness, so have until 3.30 free to do as I please! Am about to slope off for a lie down.

My cousin was quite difficult which is surprising, as she was pg with twins this time 3 years ago. She kept saying, see how you feel nearer lunch time. It would have involved a 45 minute car journey as well! I find the baby goes mad when I am driving which is surprising as I thought the movement of the car would make it nod off!

Going to have mashed potato with cheese and beans for lunch - comfort food, and then have a nap. B in preschool again until 5.00 ish!!

Wow - congratulations to Ellie, another quick labour! She'll be back on PA duties in no time !

I think Ernie might come today - have been having contractions all day again and pretty sore now - but am not getting too excited - far too long in the tooth now with all this ocntraction malarky to get hopes up!

Have just got back from mammoth sainsburys shop - normally get delivered but needed school trainers and shorts for ds1. Bought two baby grobags (sains own) reduced to £3 each!!!! BARGAIN of the week

Off to friends this afternoon - bit concerned about contractions though! she lives 40 minutes away and the hospital is 20 minutes in the opposite direction ...!! sure all will be fine.

Have a fruit craving so off to munch and will be back later.

Char- I have had exactly the same kind of pains on and off for the past few days - a cross between period pains and gripey tummy pains... hopefully its the start of something!!!

Well we have just arrived home with our new daughter, Laura Ruby. Born yesterday morning at 7:05 after an amazing birth for Spain - intervention free, lovely male midwife, no drugs, delivered on bed on all fours, VERY unusual for here. Still incredibly painful and I am glad I never have to do it again though . No stitches and I feel great now though, so really worth the pain at the time! She weighed in at 8lb 2 and is gorgeous, of course .

Congratulations to the other new babies born. I'll go and have a look now. And good luck for everyone waiting.
