Congrats Nutty!!!! Wow, that was unexpected, wasn´t it? Or did I miss something? Getting hard to keep up now..

[WAVES] Hi Cd, Octo, SOSPL, Mammyjo (keep your spirits up girl!!), Weeonion, Eca (you should smell them now that they´re roasting in the oven with basil and garlic...mmmmm)!!!

eca · 13/04/2007 11:20

mammyjo- didn't someone mention that around 2-3 weeks they have a bit of a growth spurt and are really hungry? xx

maveta · 13/04/2007 11:20

Hi Charnbump!! Yes I do want mine NOW but am only 38 + 2 so probably a fair while to wait yet...

How´s everyone getting on with the raspberry leaf? I started taking them on tuesday and if anything I seem to be having LESS BHs since then

weeonion · 13/04/2007 11:21

i feel like the odd one out here??

am i the only eejit not wishing this baby would arrive asap? am i even pg if i dont? maybe i have been having a phantom one as there is no twinges, shows, tightenings or leaks.........

eca · 13/04/2007 11:22

Maveta! Don't! All I've eaten for the last 2weeks is grilled toms on toast.Mmmmmm... >

charNbump · 13/04/2007 11:22

CD - lol

ok can i ask all you peeps who've had LO's before, did your labours ever start off with bad belly ache and back like like a cross between period aches and diarrea aches?they come & go with intensity but not in a regular manner like....sigh! had them bad since yesterday (along with multiple bowel movements! sorry if TMI) and don't wanna get too excited, but would b nice to know if it could b the start or if i just ate summit dodgy! ha!

Think i may be just wishing too hard here ha

maveta · 13/04/2007 11:24

I´m sure you´re not alone weeonion, I am just THE world´s most impatient person.. I always knew that for me the hardest part of being pregnant would be being made to wait 9 WHOLE MONTHS before I got my baby!! And I´m bored of being at home after a whole 2 weeks off work... like the idea of the phantom pregnancy though, but how do you explain the stomach??

charNbump · 13/04/2007 11:25

maveta - been taking raspberry leaf since 36 weeks and to be fair i ain't noticed a reduction in BH's, but an increase! of course, this is not necessarily to do with the raspberry crap.....

just keeping my fingers crossed that as a result of taking these ridiculously expensive tablets, the baby will pop put like a cork in record time when the time comes ha ha !

maveta · 13/04/2007 11:25

Hey Charnbump - I´m on my first so don´t speak from experience but from what I´ve heard those could be classic early labour signs - your body ´clearing out´ and all that... or yes, maybe you just ate something dodgy??! Guess you´ll find out soon enough...

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:27

CharNBump - Yes - is my answer to that one - Hope it is the beginning for you hon!

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 11:36

Congrats to nutty!! mammyjo - I swear the feeding all the time stage is short-lived if you go with it; apparently, it has to do with building up milk supply - and of course, some babies are just very sucky. Is very bonding! Keep repeating that At two weeks, I gave DS a dummy (out & proud, me - don't give a stuff!), and that worked really brilliantly for us, as he didn't use me quite so much as a dummy then. Would this be something you'd consider? Don't think I'd attempt it earlier, in case there is something in nipple confusion (I personally believe that to be very rare, but was taking no chances!), but from two weeks, it was absolutely fine. Also, DS was colicky, so I found Infacol did help with the grizzling. Anyway, by 3-months it was all calm round here, with reasonable amounts of feeding, and both of us very efficient by that stage. BEST LUCK!!!!

runnyhabit - can never remember the spelling, but Lanisoh is the best cream ever, I think. And no need to wash it off before a feed, which is fab.

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:47

Hi bugmum!!

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 11:49

CD - Did you leave the new baby in the shop? [wink} Seriously, hope things happen for you soon

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:53
  • I wondered why it was so quiet ..... bugger ... Best go and pick them up!! I hope things happen soon too. I am suddenly feeling decidedly sick and dizzy. DD2 still sleping and supposed to be going to pick DD1 up at 12 - Eeeeek! Trying to get hold of MIL to se if she can come a bit ealier .... no reply on her mobile - BIG surprise that is ..... What is going to happen when I am in labour!!!
Emmymummy · 13/04/2007 11:53

Morning - congratulations Nutty, that was a bit sudden wasn't it?!

Hope Ellie's doing OK.

Bored & tired today so am going to rest up and watch trash on the TV & read books. Getting loads of stomach cramps too Char, but I don't think mine are coming to anything as I've have them on & off for a while.

Am in two minds about whether I want the baby out yet or not. Part of me wants it out so I can reclaim my body (have had eKNUF of KNUFs lol), whilst the other part knows I should make the most of being able to lounge around with my feet up and sleep(ish). Would really like my ankles back now though......

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:55

I'm a bit the same Emmymmummy - but I just feel sooooo restless, I just wanna meet them now and get it (labour) over with, iykwim!!? @ you putting your feet up and relaxing though!!

Do I wake her up, don't I!!?

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 11:55

Oooh, I remember ankles! [nostalgic emoticon]

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:56

Mine are pretty puffy too - Yuk!

Emmymummy · 13/04/2007 11:57

Glad it's not just me then! Does she normally sleep this long CD?

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:57

I think I'd best galvanise some energy and wake DD2 up (she's going to be soooo pleased with me. Not.) ... and go and get DD1 ....

maveta · 13/04/2007 11:58

Huh. Wish my ankles were puffy - I think mine are actually just FAT!

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 11:58

It depends - she didn't have a fantastic night last night and has been pretty grotty this morning, so this is a "longer than average" sleep for her ..... typical ....

CaptainDippy · 13/04/2007 12:00

See you guys later ......

Emmymummy · 13/04/2007 12:00

Maveta - get away, you cannot have fat ankles, I've seen your photos....more fat on my little finger!

CD - let her sleeeeeep! She won't thank you for being woken up.

Bugmum · 13/04/2007 12:01

Maveta - you need to learn the gentle art of euphemisim. Puffy, think PUFFY, never fat
