As the 2nd thread is full I've started this one. Hope everyone finds it!

I thought you were looking for one ASAP? I'd take the one this week, really by 10+ weeks I thought I had read that the odds of anything going wrong are the same as at 12 weeks? I'll need to find the stats thing, will have a look...

Kirstipops · 24/10/2017 15:07

spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=08&d=10&y=12 - I've been going by this one that someone posted here on an earlier thread!

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 15:08

Oh ok I didn’t realise that! I figured we would be able to see more if we waited a week and that it would be safer eg if we tell people next weekend we will be less likely to lose it straight after (I’m not sure how rational I’m being right now!)

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 15:10

Wow thanks Kirstipops that’s so helpful! I will try to book it this week!

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 15:15

They only have one slot and DH can’t make it. He’s saying go without him! What do you think?! Argh!

Poppy012 · 24/10/2017 15:58

If it will reassure you I would book the next available slot do you have anyone else that could go with you @ladypug?

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 16:00

I’ve just booked it Poppy eeek! DH said go, he doesn’t mind, he’ll wait for nhs one but it will calm me down! So it’s booked for this Saturday! Eeeeek! Scared and excited at the same time! Nobody else knows and I think I’m going to keep it that way but they said I can FaceTime DH live from the scan room which is good!

Gyoza · 24/10/2017 16:02

Is the only reason you want to tell your friend because you’re worried someone will spot you’re preggers at the party? Surely if anyone does ask you could just deny it? Say you’re not drinking because you’re hungover. Surely they'd have to be pretty brazen to accuse someone of being pregnant out loud at a party anyway.

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 16:19

I have to tell her sooner or later Gyoza but yes, I don’t want to tell her before I’ve had a scan in case I upset her for nothing and it’s a family celebration so I fully expect to be called out by someone (likely suspect parents or in laws) and even though I could deny it, she’ll know (as will everyone- I’m that kind of liar!)

Poppy012 · 24/10/2017 16:29

Oh that’s good then ladypug only 4 days to wait :) hope all goes well x

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 16:31

Thanks Poppy

Gyoza · 24/10/2017 16:32

Ah ok, yeah family are the worst for that! Glad you have the scan booked in now so you can relax, fingers crossed it all goes well for you

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 16:40

Thanks Gyoza feel so much better knowing I will know either way, been sick with worry!

Doublechocolatetiffin · 24/10/2017 17:40

I'm glad to see you've booked a scan Ladypug hopefully it'll put your mind at ease.

I had mine this morning and it went well - everything looks ok so far so I'm just waiting for the screening results. I can't quite believe it, I've definitely not processed being pregnant yet - I may actually have to start thinking of myself as pregnant now!! I have done a huge ASOS order. I cannot wait to get back into maternity jeans.

Kkmotts where did you have your scan this morning? We could have been at the same place!! I'm not going to find out, I like the mystery. I was totally convinced I was having a boy last pregnancy and had a DD. I was a bit shocked when I gave birth 😂

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 18:11

Thank you doublechocolate haha I also thought I was having a boy last time and was in utter shock when it was dd! I’m in maternity jeans already, so comfy!!!

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 18:25

Oooh there’s a July 2018 thread already! We’re properly pregnant now! No longer the newbies!

Cathster · 24/10/2017 19:47

Glad your scan went well doublechocolate. I've been in maternity clothes at weekends only when there's no risk of anyone I know realising 😂 Work clothes are getting so difficult to get into now - I actually popped a button off my dress today 😳😳

Scan is on Monday so I have less than a week of squeezing into my clothes!

I saw that thread too Ladypug, had to do some mental maths to figure out if that was right.. it seems like time is speeding up a little bit at last!

kkmotts · 24/10/2017 20:22

@doublechocolatetiffin it was at Wycombe hospital at 9.30 this morning. I have a confession... my due date is now in April! Please don't oust me from the group!!
I've had such a great day telling all my friends and the rest of our family, it feels like a huge weight has lifted!
So nice to be going through this with you guys. Hope everyone else has a good experience like we did :)

Doublechocolatetiffin · 24/10/2017 20:33

Kkmotts I was at Wexham at the same time!! I did everything at Wycombe last time, but ended up with and overdue breech baby so moved to Wexham. I figured I'd go straight there this time especially as they've just had a complete makeover of the maternity dept 👍🏻 I think there are a few end of April people here now 😄 I was an end of sept person last time - gave birth on the 15th Oct, so you may still have a May baby yet!

MilfordFound · 24/10/2017 20:39

Told my daughter (whose 2.5yrs) that I have a baby in my tummy. And she pointed to my mouth and said "in there"..... she thinks I've eaten a baby!

Congrats to all those who've had scans. Ladypug I'm sure you'll feel better once you've seen baby on screen and confirmed everything is fine.

Told my boss today. He asked me if baby was planned Shock

MotherOfBoy · 24/10/2017 20:44

milford my boss said the same. As did my previous two bosses when I was pregnant with DS... unfortunately I’ve come to expect it given how badly I was treated by my previous employer.

I’ve been in maternity work dresses for last couple weeks but they are nursing so can also wear when not pregnant. Don’t think anyone has noticed...! Not long now though thank god my tights were reallly digging in today I had a seam mark down my tummy! Just dug out all my old maternity clothes from the loft to wash. Only thing is I only have atrappy tips and leggings for casual as I was pregnant in summer last time! Might need to invest in a few jumpers haha!

kkmotts · 24/10/2017 20:49

Our friends told their 3 year old today that we are having a baby and he just said "why?" Haha, kids have the best reactions! Probably best at this stage to let her think you have eaten it rather than explain how it actually got there! @milfordfound

LadyPug · 24/10/2017 21:39

Haha Cathster yes! Exactly! Thank you Milford I hope so! I can’t believe your boss said that!!! And yours Mother How rude!!! What is wrong with people?! Haha I love that your daughter thinks you ate a baby Milford!!! That’s hilarious!

cautiousoptimist1 · 24/10/2017 22:09

Glad you booked a private scan ladypug,

Tiffin, I was exactly the same last time, spent 9 months absolutely certain I was having a boy only to have DD. I've now already convinced myself that this one must be a boy as my pregnancy is already worse than the last one (hope that doesn't sound dramatic but I didn't suffer much last time but this time I've had spotting and awful nausea so far!).

I'm glad so many of you are struggling with clothes. Last time I was in my regular jeans until almost 6 months but I'm already unfastening them by mid afternoon. I think I'll definitely need a maternity coat this time!

Cathster · 24/10/2017 22:12

milford that is brilliant- bless her!!

My 2yo DD hasn't a clue what's going on. DH tells her and she just ignores him. She'll be in for a shock Grin
