Thanks Elvi, I've never tried topshop jeans so hadn't even thought of there.

Aggy106 · 05/11/2017 13:14

I'm in the same boat with being stuck between normal clothes feeling tight but not having a bump yet. My main problem is jeans, everything else should be ok for a while longer. I don't seem to have put on weight but my hips have gone up 2 inches!!!! Going to have to start exercising properly again.

SaltK · 05/11/2017 13:17

Hi ladies, just wanted to let you know the scan today was amazing. Baby measured 10+6, never stopped wriggling, we could see tiny hands and legs and fingers! We even got to hear the heart beating, which I wasn't expecting. It feels unreal. I can't believe this could actually happen. Feel so grateful and so terrified in equal measure. Thanks so much for all the support, and hope things are going well for all of you Flowers

Gyoza · 05/11/2017 13:23

That’s great news @SaltK! X

Aggy106 · 05/11/2017 13:32

Amazing news salt so so so pleased all is well!

Cathster · 05/11/2017 13:32

@salt oh I am so pleased for you!

ChefsFloozie · 05/11/2017 15:52

Wonderful news SaltK

I've put on a load of weight too, I think about 8 or 9 pounds. Because I'm feeling better the weight gain seems to be slowly down as I'm eating better again and am more active. Wore a maternity dress today for lunch with mil, was sooooo comfy.

Long talk Sally do some really comfy maternity jeans and are long, maybe too long at 34. Not sure but might be worth looking at. Good luck!

cautiousoptimist1 · 05/11/2017 16:05

Great news Salt!

Aggy have you tried the hair tie/elastic band with your jeans?

Kirstipops · 05/11/2017 17:13

Amazing news Salt ! My scan is Wednesday, anyone else have theirs then?
With my first pregnancy I think I gained nearly a stone in the first trimester as I ate so much to stave off the nausea! I gained about 2.5 stone all in though so not too bad I guess and a lot of that was fluid too (as well as my 7lbs 8oz baby!). I've only gained 4lbs or so at this point. Still feel like a lump though but I'm heavier to begin with this time around too Confused

Noredwine · 05/11/2017 17:21

Congratulations Saltk - lovely when you see them wriggling on scan and it's amazing how much they grow even from 10 odd weeks to 12 odd weeks!
I am getting paranoid again that pip squeak might not be there anymore as 12 week scan seems ages ago although only 14 weeks now and scan at 20 weeks seems ages away! Still - some days feeling starving hungry and others knackered and still have occasional sore boobs and nausea so no real reason to believe all is not well. Just hard when not put any weight on (as already a bit overweight I know that is a good thing!) and no sign of a bump! Told a load of people including my team at work on Friday so does feel a bit more real now!

Crazycat1980 · 05/11/2017 17:43

Hi
Haven't messaged on this board yet but been reading lots. I am 13 + 3 today and I know what you mean Nored about not believing it is actually there still. I think if I could afford it I would be going for scans every fortnight!
Also at the inbetween stage with clothes. My normal clothes either don't fit or make me look chubby and it feels too soon for maternity although I did succumb to some black maternity trousers for work and they were soooooo comfy!

LadyPug · 05/11/2017 18:06

Fab news salt

Still over a week until my scan and even though I had private scan a week ago I’m worried as starting to fe not pregnant now, sickness is fading and I just haven’t really put on weight :-( I know everyone is complaining that they have but it’s scarier that I haven’t as I think I put on more last time! Boobs were big last time too and this time no real growth or pain! Hopefully all is ok!

PhoenixDown · 05/11/2017 18:55

Just checking in, sorry not been on for a while, low mood atm and signed off work, going to GP on Tues again as not improving :( Going to have a read up now and catch up!

My symptoms have much improved too @LadyPug, of course this just makes me worry despite being desperate to feel better 2 weeks ago! Not had any cramps for ages so convinced myself baby has stopped growing! Oh well scan in 4 days to hopefully reassure me.

Kirstipops · 05/11/2017 19:04

Sounds very similar to me Ladypug, my boobs were so tender first time around that I couldn't bear to lie on my front in bed, this time they're just faintly achey if I rattle them with my fist Grin (must try to stop doing this in the office haha!) and my sickness and extreme lethargy is away. I have to keep reminding myself that both were gone by the time my 12 week scan came around last time too. I'm less weepy than last time too (more, ahem, ragey and irritable) and my upper back pain and nose bleeds from first trimester haven't reared their ugly heads yet either! Fingers crossed we feel movement quicker this time around to set our minds more at ease! Just keep thinking about thst little bean you saw at your scan last week, our bodies know better what to do this time round so maybe that's why it all feels less extreme this time, who knows!

LadyPug · 05/11/2017 19:15

Thank you kirsty and phoenix glad to know I’m not alone! You are so right, and I have had the nosebleeds this time around so that’s got to be a good sign! Just got to hang in one more week till scan!

Cathster · 05/11/2017 19:25

@ladypug my symptoms all but vanished at around 10/11 weeks, it just means that the placenta is starting to take over! I had the same worry though, so it's understandable but it's normal to start feeling better at this time!

@phoenix I hope you feel better soon and the GP helps Tuesday.

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 05/11/2017 20:27

Brilliant news saltk

I'm still really struggling with fatigue atm and my nausea has returned, which is really annoying.

I have cracked and got out the maternity clothes. They're a bit loose but so much more comfortable!

Doublechocolatetiffin · 05/11/2017 22:21

Oh how fabulous Salt I’m so pleased the scan went well yesterday!

Fab pic of the twins willisurvive I’m still weighing up whether to do the harmony or not! It would be nice to have some clearer answers.

Ladypug I started to feel much better about 11 weeks, it’s just the placenta taking over.

I don’t think I’ve gained much weight - although was overweight to start with so maybe that’s why. I do have a pretty sizeable bump though. I’m very happy to be in maternity stuff now, just had an order through from seraphine and my goodness are those jeans goooodd! Worth every penny!

cautiousoptimist1 · 06/11/2017 06:45

I've only put on half a kilo but have a bump (bigger in the evening though!) although I'm almost underweight so maybe that's normal.

I'm still feeling awful, I'm 12+2 today and had my worst day for sickness yesterday. I'm still grateful I haven't had constant sickness but I'm getting fed up of the nausea and vomiting now. And me throwing up really freaks out my one year old - she was almost hyperventilating yesterday morning through crying so hard.

My private scan is tomorrow, I'm nervous about it and hope everything is ok although I am taking the sickness as a positive sign.

scoutcat · 06/11/2017 06:48

@cautiousoptimist1 I’m almost underweight too but have put no weight on at all, don’t know if I should be worried or not!

Good luck with your scan!

HerSymphonyAndSong · 06/11/2017 06:54

Remember there are loads of women who lose weight during the first trimester, so you are on that spectrum between those who lose and those who gain. HCPs don’t seem to be overly concerned either way from what I can tell

You may well gain proportionally more during later trimesters compared to those who gained more earlier, in any case, or you may just not be someone who gains much at all.

Aggy106 · 06/11/2017 07:37

Thanks for the tip cautious I'll give it a go. Hope everything goes well with your scan.

Noredwine · 06/11/2017 08:16

Welcome Crazycat and good luck Cautious for your private scan tomorrow.

Funny how quite a few of us are now paranoid all is not week simply because having less symptoms when everyone says second trimester is better! We can't win! Don't want to feel rough but don't want to feel "not pregnant" either! Bring on 20 week scans, growing bumps and early flutters! X

Gyoza · 06/11/2017 13:02

Scan this morning, all ok and moved due date to 15th May. Such a relief though still doesn’t feel real!

LadyPug · 06/11/2017 13:27

Hoorah gyoza well done! My scan isn’t until next week! Anyone else waiting until next week?!
