Brilliant news @ladypug 😁😁

LadyPug · 30/10/2017 08:05

Thanks poppy

Doublechocolatetiffin · 30/10/2017 08:57

Just catching up with the thread over the weekend. Lovely news Ladypug about your scan. I'm so pleased it was all ok and they put you back on track dates wise.

I've got quite a bump already (all chub no doubt) so it's nice to be able to tell people.

Oh and I forgot to say before I'm in South Bucks.

LadyPug · 30/10/2017 09:33

Thanks doublechocolate such a relief and only two weeks until nhs scan then I feel like I can get this pregnancy on the road and get moving! This first trimester is moving slooooooow!

Aggy106 · 30/10/2017 11:29

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around for a few days, I was getting quite stressed out about the 12 week scan as that's how we found out about our mmc.

We had the scan this morning and everything is absolutely fine (so relieved!) the sonographer thought baby was asleep, though how it could have been with all the adrenaline in my system I have no idea! They've moved my due date forward to 16th May. Anyone else due then?

Excellent news on your scan ladypug, not long til your 12 week scan now!

double I'm the same, all my clothes are starting to feel quite tight! I'm in North Surrey.

LadyPug · 30/10/2017 11:32

Ah so glad to hear everything is ok aggy I feel so much relief every time one of us crosses that 12 week threshold! Woo hoo!

HerSymphonyAndSong · 30/10/2017 11:42

Hurrah Aggy! I love that baby was asleep, that’s very sweet

I am due 15th May (pending 12wk scan tomorrow when this may change)

Aggy106 · 30/10/2017 12:07

Thank you both!

symphony hope your scan goes well tomorrow and you get some good pics of the baby.

MotherOfBoy · 30/10/2017 12:42

Glad to hear all ok aggy! I’m due 17th pending 12 week scan on Friday. Can’t come soon enough my colleagues have already criticised my eating habits today... 🙄 I am wearing maternity trousers for first time they are a bit big but have elasticated waist which is amazing. Had forgotten how comfy maternity clothes are! Unfortunately it is all flab this time round though... 😔

HerSymphonyAndSong · 30/10/2017 13:09

I’m not sure whether my bizarre eating habits have been picked up on but I do feel like my enormotits are giant beacons of pregnancy! No one has said anything though

ChefsFloozie · 30/10/2017 13:13

Lovely news Aggy, really glad all was well. Obviously you have a very chilled out baby on your hands!

Motherofboys same here. All definition has gone. Oh well!!

HandbagFan · 30/10/2017 13:19

Hello! Just coming out of the shadows to say a tentative hi. I’m 9+4 with DC2. I have a little boy already.

Due date is 31st May but I’ll be having a c-section probably at 38 weeks so middle of the month. Waiting for my booking in appointment still so feel a long way behind all you ladies having 12 weeks scans!

So far we’ve told parents and siblings and I’ve told a Mum friend - suddenly asking for decaf coffee! Will tell work after my 12 week scan and then start releasing the news but it does feel awkward - I never say pregnant, it feels weird. I told my family by announcing DS was going to be a big brother.

Hope everyone’s feeling well and positive. I might go back to lingering until I at least have my booking in through!

cautiousoptimist1 · 30/10/2017 13:34

Great news Aggy, sounds like you've got a chilled out little one!

I'm still waiting for my scan date. I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday.

Welcome handbagfan, no don't go lurking! All moans, general worries and countdown to scans/appointments welcome!

FlooOOOooomplet · 30/10/2017 13:39

Anyone else due May 5th? Had 12 week scan last week and have finally “gone public”. Still feeling very sick and exhausted.

Motherofpuppies · 30/10/2017 14:57

I'm a week after you @FlooOOOooomplet - had my 12 week scan on Friday and now I've joined the May 11th due date club! (I think there's at least two other ladies on this thread with the same date?)

The sonographer was lovely during the scan, although he had an administrator with him who was very brusque and kept talking over him to demand dates we could do for our 20 week scan. My poor DH spent most of it looking at his diary rather than being able to see our baby kicking and hear the heartbeat.

But still, it was lovely to see little bean kicking away. He/she had their hands over their head. I was quite amazed to see a little nose, and such a baby-shaped baby!

CaptainsCat · 30/10/2017 15:06

I was due on the 11th, but at my scan last week they changed my EDD to the 7th!

LadyPug · 30/10/2017 15:14

Wow motherofpuppies what a clear photo! How far are you now? That’s such a great picture!

LadyPug · 30/10/2017 15:15

Welcome handbagfan I’m at the back too! I’ve had booking in but my scan isn’t for another 2 weeks!

HandbagFan · 30/10/2017 15:54

And as if by magic I have my booking in appointment! Lots of calls this afternoon - due to a holiday I won’t be seen til 11 weeks by the midwife so they’re booking my dating scan ahead of that to make sure it comes through in time for the combined screening. If only the midwife had sent the request to the right hospital! It’s being sorted as I type but booking at the end of next week all being well - think that definitely makes me the last one on the thread!

Cathster · 30/10/2017 16:54

@motherofpuppies I'm due May 11 too! Had scan this morning and all looking good - we were in there ages as baby did not want to lie still to have his measurements taken! Was rolling around, waving arms and legs in the air... I felt a right idiot as the sonogropher had me jumping up and down, wiggling my hips around, had to go to the loo four times to try and get baby into right position 😂 Certainly a memorable experience!

@aggy so glad to hear all is ok for you, that must have been very stressful after your mmc.

Kirstipops · 30/10/2017 17:16

Aww it's great hearing about these scans! Great pic motherofpuppies ! I think I call girl!
And how sweet aggy to have a little sleepy soul!
I feel like the guys in my work must know, since I'm drinking less coffee than usual! I'm often walking around the office holding paper or something in front me to cover up the bloat! It's nice though that my poor spaniel's ears have filled out a bit though, finally have a bit of cleavage!

Aggy106 · 30/10/2017 18:31

Thank you all! Seeing the look of relief on DH's face was unforgettable, cathster it was horrid, I saw the sonographer who did our scan the first time in the waiting room and I cried thinking we were getting her again, I had nightmares about her telling us there was no heartbeat for months. Really pleased your scan went well though sounds like your baby is a bit of a tinker already! Did you get a clear look at them in the end?

Welcome handbagfan that's a lovely way to announce the news!

Wow wonderful scan photo mother its so clear!

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 30/10/2017 18:39

So exciting seeing all these scan pics! Can't remember if there's a spreadsheet for due dates - anyone else get May 9th? Not convinced I'll get that far (suspect this one will be early), but it's nice to have a date to aim towards at least.

Has anyone heard about getting the whooping cough vaccine? I had it last time and wasn't sure if you needed it second time round

HerSymphonyAndSong · 30/10/2017 18:40

I think it protects the baby so maybe you do need it each time? Not sure though. It’s not until after 20 weeks iirc

Elvi1 · 30/10/2017 19:10

Hiya, yep you need it for every pregnancy around 20 weeks. Lovely scan pics. Mine isn't until November 9th!
