Just to very quickly say hi and thank you for all your messages. Will post more details when I'm less knackered We're all fine, and ds keeps smiling at his little brother, even when he's crying [very soppy emotional mum emoticon]

love to you all

Hi RH glad to hear all is well xx

AngeG · 11/04/2007 16:51

Hello and Congratulations Whywhywhy. Wow what a quick labour. Love the names

MIAMT - Sorry you've been feeling down. Not long to go til your c-section now. I know what you mean about mums being around. I don't what I would have done this last week without my mum and dad around.

Hello to everyone else

AngeG · 11/04/2007 16:54

I texted Smole to let her know we are all thinking of them and sending love.

She has replied

"Thank u. His blood has been thinned but his feeding is no better. We can't have him back until he is feeding every 3hrs. He's still 4ml hourly thru tube smolexx"

Will let you know if I have anymore updates

liath · 11/04/2007 16:55

Congratulations Runny & whywhywhy!! A real flurry of babies now. And adding labour vibes for Birdie & Eddas. So good to hear from the new mums, too and hats off to 1b3 and ooggs for having the time to post! Have been thinking of you both loads coping with 2 newborns.

Managed to dodge the harpoons at the pool and had a lovely time swimming then had lunch. Feeling a lot more positive today and am finally feeling mentally ready for labour - bring it on!!! An April Thread two-hour special would be nice.

Continuing the North East theme, my mum's family is from Devon but she grew up in Morpeth & my Dad is from Newcastle. They live in the Borders now, sounds like further east than Nellyhel - near Duns.

liath · 11/04/2007 16:58

Oh poor Smole, how stressful. . Here's hoping the feeding picks up fast.

Katy44 · 11/04/2007 17:05
Sad
geordiemacminx · 11/04/2007 17:06

thoughts and prayers for smole.

nellyhel · 11/04/2007 17:07

Liath - glad you feel bit better now, I do as well as just spoke to a friend on the phone for an hour. She didn't seem to mind that I had ignored her call the other day because I was simply too grumpy to speak!

Congratulations whywhywhy !
Feel like we really are starting to get going with the babies now. Tonight would suit me fine as dcs are away (well hopefully, ds wasn't so keen earlier but hopefully will be fine). Thinking about trying curry and sex.. not at the same time. Surely better than sitting doing nothing?

Thinking of Smole too, I really can't imagine how they are feeling, hope feeding gets better soon.

Right must go and get some food ready for dh. Have a good evening all.

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 17:11

Thining of you Smole, really hope Jesse starts feeding xxx

LesleyR · 11/04/2007 17:17

Congrats Whywhywhy

Been having really apinful pains coming and going for an hour and a half. Going to start timing them. they feel different to niggly pains I've had all week.

Will keep you posted.

Katy44 · 11/04/2007 17:28

Good luck LesleyR - hopefully the overnight doulas will be around tonight!
Oh no, you were one of them weren't you??

Emmymummy · 11/04/2007 17:34

Congratulations Runnyhabit & Whywhywhy - liking the sound of these speedy labours!

Lesley - ooooo! This could be it! Keep us posted on progress.

Am feeling very heavy and large - bump seems to be expanding on a daily basis and am shuffling around like a weeble. Remember this feeling from last time....

Saw MW this morning - baby has un-engaged herself, but is still thankfully head-down. As lots of others have said, this is perfectly normal for subsequent pregnancies, but still annoying. Getting loads of KNUF pains, probably the head trying to get itself downwards. So have managed to do very little today apart from have a big sort out of Em's bedroom. Obviously I should be relishing this period of calm and being able to rest, but I'm not used to sitting around watching daytime TV and find this part of the whole process very very dull.....

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 17:39

Oooh...Lesley - exciting!!!

Have a really dry throat at the mo. I hope i'm not catching anything.

maveta · 11/04/2007 17:46

Congrats whywhywhy!! Have a feeling some of us first timers are definitely going to be evening the stats up re. labour length [gulp]

Hugs and thoughts to Smole xxx

Hi AngeG.. thanks for popping in to say hi, hearing about the new babies really does keep all our spirits up, I think..

Lots of labour vibes to MIAMT and Lesley.. and in fact I´ll just scatter a load of them over the thread in general.. we must all be about there now, no?

My mw appt was short and to the point, all as it should be, wouldn´t say if baby was engaged but said he seemed to be in the right place and she managed to access my strep b results which were NEGATIVE! Yay! Have put on a total of 2.3 stone so far which seems fine to me.. gives me leeway for a bit more chunking up in these last couple of weeks at home ... off to eat more Pims biscuits...

weeonion · 11/04/2007 17:50

ok - this is for maveta - i have done my nappy count and we have........

10 motherease (5 unbleached, 5 white)but they look bloody huge!!
5 littlelambs - my fav
5 totsbots (peach, 2 pink, yellow and white)
3 kooshies
3 sandies
1 minki
4 daisy diapers
20 prefolds (different sizes)

surely to god a child cant go through that in 2 days???

Eddas · 11/04/2007 17:51

Congrats to whywhywhy

Hope this is the beginning of something for your Lesley

Can't remember anymore

Well, i won't be on here after tonight as i'm booked in at 6.30 tomorrow. Birdiebump might be able to update you but then again she's likely to be in too so i have EAH on standby and she tells me she'll stay by her computer to update you when i text her

Labour vibes to all those needing them and i'll see you all once my lo is out!!!

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 17:51

Congrats on Strep B result Maveta. Glad mw visit went ok, shame she didn't tell you if baby was engaged or not.

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 17:52

Good luck Eddas!

weeonion · 11/04/2007 17:58

congrats whywhywhy - fab news!

another short labour - what is this????? where are all the 18 hrs that we dread - surely not for those of us later in the month. has the raspberry tea leaf been helping????? do we spend so much time on here that we dont realise that labour has started???

eddas - good luck for you. will be waiting to hear more good news.

Emmymummy · 11/04/2007 17:59

Good luck for tomorrow Eddas, looking forward to hearing your news.

Maveta - why on earth won't your MW tell you if the head's engaged or not?

Still crunching away on ice cubes here - Ellie has a lot to answer for....
