Ooh Ellie, do let us know if you become a real nappy nut aswell, it´s always great to have other people to obsess about them with I´m sure you already know this with your internet shopping skills but the nappy lady classified section is a great place to get them. And you must get a swaddlebees´ - you seriously have NO idea how cute they are in real life

Oi! Wee onion - did you count yours or are you too embarrassed to admit the final count??!

nellyhel · 11/04/2007 14:32

LOL at "scratch and sniff" and at all the ideas for answer phone messages. I am actually getting fed up that I seem to have no-one checking up on me?? I guess those who are important know they'd have been phoned if anything was happening. Need to start working on my responses for next week tho in case I have to go back to doing the school run still pg. Maybe I'll just lose my voice and not speak .

It is great to hear that so many of us are in the same frame of mind - grumpy, lazy and bored . I have decided the lazy thing is our bodies having a rest before the efforts of labour and a new baby. (That's my reason for no more housework today - ...like I've done anything except the dishwasher.. - and I am sticking to it)

Oh and congratulations to the runnyhabbit family! Well done!

weeonion · 11/04/2007 14:41

nellyhel - where are you in scotland again?? it has gone out of my mind...

flump - has she posted in a while? and where is hellcat??

geordiemacminx · 11/04/2007 14:48

That just reminded me - WO, she said she lived 30 miles from edinburgh - you asked if she lived to the east -by my reckoning that would locate her in the middle of the orth sea!!!

weeonion · 11/04/2007 14:52

lol - geography never was my strong point! i am away out for a dander - local library, cuppa in a greasy spoon and get some flowers. oh , isnt lifehigh pressure! i am gonna make the pavlova later gmm- treat for tea!

Thought it was a bout time that I popped back on, have been lurking for a few days now.
I'm a bit all over the place a t the moment, don't really know weather i am coming or going.

Can't remember who I have congratulated and who i haven't so here are some fireworks and a big .:"":.:"":.:CONGRATULATIONS:.:"":.:"":.
To everyone who I have not yet congratulated, there have been some beautiful babies and very lovely names.

The sleep deprived state I am in at the mo means I am not really able to hold proper conversations because my brain is just not working,(this post has taken me 30mins so far)
DH is back at work so I am coping on my own, yet for some reason when I should be trying to get some sleeeeep I seem to find myself turining on the computer to come onto mn. force of habit or an obsession

I'm sure this post doesn't make much sense can't even remember what I came on to say, oh well I think i will go to sleep now, maybe.

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 15:11

1b3 - I'm surprised you get time to come on at all...much admiration for your energy and enthusiasm

That reminds me, DHs colleague was back at work today after paternity leave and brought his wife and baby in...DH didn't hold baby tho cos he was "scared he might drop it" !!!

Been looking at slings on ebay...would I be mad????

nellyhel · 11/04/2007 15:17

WO - I am in the Borders, pretty much south of Edinburgh and not really near the sea..!

I've just ordered a new raincover for our pram on Amazon, and a book for me in case I am still waiting next week. Didn't even have to get up for my credit card as it had saved all my details! Already ordered a pushchair and some bras and stuff this week, so think I better switch off laptop and have a sleep while I have peace - that surely can't cost me anything! (Am really trying to ignore all nappy talk, thinking about using real ones this time and got good advice from nappy lady. Have a couple of kinds to try and also want to see size of this baby first! Don't make me look at the swaddlebees Maveta, please don't make me!!!)

geordiemacminx · 11/04/2007 15:21

I bough a wilkinet from ebay - got i for £18 instead of the RRP of £50.. pleased I did because it looks soooooooo complicated that I doubt it will ever get used - but at least I'll be able to sell it for as much on ebay if it is indeed useless...

I have been online boots - bought TENS machine and "some" (read 200) nappies... but with all the codes that I had I managed to get £21 worth of advantage points on my £90 shop. Plus although the TENS cost £70, they are selling on ebay second hand for about £40, so again about the same as renting one, but with advantage points - which I will of course use to purchase clinique make up!!!

Full admiration for you 1b3- I'm not out of my dressing gown yet and there is only me!!!

Katy44 · 11/04/2007 15:44

CONGRATULATIONS RUNNYHABIT

Katy44 · 11/04/2007 15:46

weeonion - can I email you? which one are you on Ellie's email list? (or if it's easier for you to email me, mine starts Kate and ends in 44, it's the hotmail one).

geordiemacminx · 11/04/2007 15:48

Hi all

Sorry I have been away so long. It's been hetic!!

Isobelle is being fantastic at the moment and has taken really well to breastfeeding, which is good for me. Jake is loving being a big brother and takes his roll very seriously.

Wanted to say a huge Congratulations to all those who have had their babies since I've been away.

Yvie on baby Sarai
Pinons on baby Theo
Smole on baby Jesse - Still thinking of you all
Waspelly on baby Thomasine
Hensden on your baby boy
Twinkle on baby Evelyn.

Hope you are all settling down to life with your new babies.

I haven't heard anything else from Smole. Dont want to hound her, think I might text today to let her know we are all thinking of them and send our love.

For all those having a c-section this time. I have no regrets whatsoever for choosing another section this time. I have been up and about since the 1st day and although I can't drive or do anything too strenuous I really feel great.

Anyway love to you all. Have to go. Jake has done a poo and Izzy is starting to fidget.
xxxxxx

Oh LuceWheel I was wondering where you were! As usual, if you haven't posted for half a day it is assumed you've gone into labour!
