Gosh just read back through thread - quite a few potential babies tonight! Good Luck all!!

Eddas - good luckfor tomorrow.

I am resigned to feeling cack now till Monday - I won't be so lucky to go into labour before then.

Weeonion - sorry your Pavlova was a disaster.

Just had half a Battenburg cake and a mug of warm milk...
Think I will just go and watch crap on sofa till feel sleepy. Have been tossing and turning in bed for an hour and a half - just cannot get comfy - restless legs driving me mad!

Welcome to the wide awake club - its free to join - simply fill out your details below and one of our representatives will call you ...

I am so awake have had to get up again and have hot choc and mn hit! Less grumpy now but also having more niggly pains and pretty uncomfy. sounds like we could have some more babies by morning!

Congratulations whywhywhy - you beat me to it Hope all is well.

Thanks for posting the message from Smole - thinking of you xxxx

My 3 wheeler came today - very smart - really pleased.. Also put car seat in car today and showed dh how to use it LOL

Weeonion - you have plenty of nappies by the sound of it! Personally I'm not keen on prefolds on newborns because of the poo containment thing I too have lots of different ones to try out - but also some btp and nappies in bigger sizes already so I will just be topping up when have decided which are my favourites.

I wonder if there is any correlation with it getting closer to the middle of April and the number of babies arriving ...

My head is full of school appeal again - had managed not to think about it for a bit but now is only a week off - and will know next friday the outcome - am getting a bit on edge! Not to mention the impending birth... this baby either needs to come by the weekend or postpone til next weekend!

Dh been relatively good here - keeps saying 'it won't be long now, all over soon' - think he is starting to realise how hard this pg has been and how fed up am getting!

Started to think what ernie will look like and whether he will be like the other two or completely different - ds1 and ds2 looked identical up to about 4 months!

Hi octo

Havent been to bed yet, have no idea why im still up. I was shattered at 5 o'clock, could hardly keep my eyes open but yet im still here. Shit ds just woken up. What pushchair you got?

octo · 12/04/2007 00:54

An out n about 3 wheeler in charcoal colour - but do also have a mamas and papas 3 in one already!!! I need it so can start running again - honest!

when are you due Pesha? Have competely lost track of who/when etc!

Pesha · 12/04/2007 00:58

Think its the day after you, the 16th or 'monday' as its now scarily become!!

I have an xts twister cos it goes with the car seat i already have from ds. And it seems like a good pushchair too obviously! Wanted to get the carry cot for it too but dp wouldnt let me

octo · 12/04/2007 01:04

I know what you mean about the 'monday' thing - it has really hit me in the last few days that there is going to be a baby here very soon SHHHHIIIIITTTTTTTT People say things like 'ooh not ong now' and I can now say 'Yes, sunday' and they look quite shocked - in fact getting in before people say 'haven;t you had it yet' with - 'its due sunday' is pretty effective at shutting them up LOL The newest comment is 'ooh you're not very big' - note - from same people who said 'ooh aren;t you huge' at about 20 weeks!

Bit ranty - must go try get to sleep

Night night Pesha

Anyone still up?

octo · 12/04/2007 01:10

me me me - any news????????

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:12

Contractions coming every 20 minutes or so, lasting about 40 seconds

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:14

Good luck for the school appeal thing, octo. What stressful timing.

octo · 12/04/2007 01:14

ooooh very exciting - is anyone with you???

Are they painful to the extent you need to breathe or have pain relief? are you going to hosp or homebirth?

octo · 12/04/2007 01:15

are they period like pains or tightenings??

nosey parker here!

Pesha · 12/04/2007 01:15

Yeah some people seem to say how huge i am, others saying how ive got a sweet small bump I prefer being told its huge cos it feels bloody huge and its hard work carrying it around, saying its small seems somehow dismissive of that and pisses me off!

Met one of the school mums in town, she came up behind me and as i turned round she had a look at my bump and said 'Im not even gonna ask! So how you feeling' She has 6 children herself so knows better than to say anything stupid!

And yes must go to bed too and ive just remembered ive got hospital appointment (routine check) at 9.30 tomorrow so wont even get a lie in what is wrong with me!?!

Dont answer that!!

Night octo

Pesha · 12/04/2007 01:17

Oh cb you've done that on purpose just as we werte about to go to bed

All of octos questions from me too!!

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:17

Heavy period pains. I've had tightenings loads all week, but these are the real thing now. I'm breathing through them at the moment - trying visualisation technique I saw on a thread here a while back. DH and my mum have gone to get some sleep. I'll wake DH when I want the TENS but managing OK at the mo. Hospital birth, but don't want to make the same mistake I made with DS and turn up too early as they are VERY interventionist here in Spain.

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:19

Hi Pesha - x post

octo · 12/04/2007 01:20

Oooh - wish mine would turn into period like pains!!! I knwo what you mean about going in too early - feel the same myself bu then freak out about how fast some of the labours on here have been so far!

so exciting to think you could have baby by the morning - hope it is a speedy labour - will stay up til half past then need to go to bed!

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:22

Yes, don't stay up on my account. I don't want to be responsible for you feeling grotty tomorrow!!

Am feeling tired myself but have got used to four hours a night over the last few nights and cat napping in the day. Good practice I guess. It's so lovely to finally have help with the other 3 DC so that I can do that.

Pesha · 12/04/2007 01:23

Oo it is exciting! how have your other labours been cb? Quite quick or not really?

claricebean · 12/04/2007 01:23

of course, don't want to do a Bramshott and have a taxi birth
