EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:19

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:26

no, i've read it all and am still none the wiser as to relevance of jelly bowl

maveta · 11/04/2007 21:28

Eca - yeah that´s what I thought too.. opted to watch an episode of 24 instead.. now just waiting for dh to get home so we can watch the next episode together..

GMM - YUM! That all sounds fab.

Hope all of this amounts to something for you girls - Hotlipsmummy and CD - it´s so hideous when you feel like crap and all for nothing - Eca, that´s the kind of thing that keeps me up all night and leaves me in a thunderous moany mood the next day. Bah.

Come on girls - give us some more babies!!

maveta · 11/04/2007 21:28

I´m with Ellie - what´s up with the bowl CD??

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2007 21:30

It's only a couple of posts down .....

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:30

the nappies are almost too cute to resist maveta

still veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrry tempted

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:31

but when did he abandon you in your hour of need? and why does that mean a jelly bowl makes you ?

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 11/04/2007 21:33

We were talking about the fact I've been getting pains and how DH has gone out - and about how he left his jelly bowl on the desk by the computer and didn't wash it up and how that makes me ....

Sorry I confused you ......

CONGRATULATIONS WHYWHYWHY

And fingers crossed for CD and HLM, hope it is the real thing. As i said earlier I think its more about the strength of the contractions than the timing

And good luck to eddas for tomorrow.

Im really hoping i dont have one of these super quick labours, need time to get mum over and take kids away and get dp back from work and actually once kids are gone would quite like to hav time to have a bath to relax me before going to hospital as Ive done both times before. DD labour was about 25 hours from first proper contraction to baby and ds was about 18 hours so am expecting this (pg logic again!) to be about 12 hours which sounds fine to me, I need time to get myself prepared!

Real bad KNUF - OW!!! Think baby may be engaging or doing something down there anyway, am very uncomfortable.

Went shopping round town today, whole bloody stupid place is on a hill and it killed me. Cant believe how slow I am and how achey back and tummy muscles are after abit of walking. And got back to car to find the carpet shampoo (for the stinky car map carpet!) hidden under dds cardi on back of pushchair and not paid for It was only 99p though and really couldnt face walking all way back to bottom of town to return it. Got home, put it on side in kitchen, sat down. 10 mins later discovered ds had poured it all over the downstairs toilet floor So had to buy more when I went tesco with dp only they didnt have cheap ones so ended up having to spend £3! Now theres karma for you!!

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:37

ahhhhhhhh, sorry, pg brain

think i'd have been tempted to put jelly in his underpants for tomorrow

claricebean · 11/04/2007 21:43

Hooray..contractions have started

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:45

woooohooooo for Claricebean

OP posts:
maveta · 11/04/2007 21:46

It´s obviously us, not you CD.. being dopey.

Pesha - lol at Karma!! Typical. had a few really REALLY horrible KNUFs last night but none so far today, thank goodness, I can do without that particular sign-of-nothing-particular-happening.

maveta · 11/04/2007 21:47

YAY Claricebean - buena suerte guapa!

claricebean · 11/04/2007 21:51

Thanks....hope they don't peter out now

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 21:55

on the ice/iron thing maveta, i read that too but like EmmyMummy my tests have all come back ok

i think it's just cos she's my buddy, i've passed it on to her

OP posts:
maveta · 11/04/2007 21:57

Ellie - ah well.. you´re both just freaky then

CB - strange to wish for someone to continue being in pain and, in fact, to wish MORE pain on them but hey, it´s what you want sooo...

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 22:03

my calm resolve re:Justin finally cracked today

got this text today ....
"morning, my text wasn't working yesterday. just wanted to ask how things went at my parents and make sure you knew that it will take me about 2 hours to get to the hospital if i am in newmarket. I would guess you have already told your ?doula? but just wanted to check"

it woke me up at 8am and i was not happy . i went to his parents last thursday ffs! and it will only take him that long as he is still to tax his car so has to get the train.

i then ignored it all day so i didn't respond in anger, until about 3pm when i replied with this
"i cannot control how long i am in labour for. it could be less than 2 hours, i have no idea. Perhaps if you'd got your car sorted we wouldn't have this problem."

so much for staying calm

Oh Ellie - you are trying though and it´s so normal that you lose your rag once in a while. You are doing miles better than I would be, I have a hard time biting my tongue at the best of times so Justin would have heard the ins and outs, ups and downs of exactly what I think of him by now! Just breeeeeeeeathe.... x

EllieKthePA · 11/04/2007 22:16

just gone thru my 2nd glass of ice cbes since 9

OP posts:
weeonion · 11/04/2007 22:26

ellie - dont know how you havent told him to shove it by now. he cant really seem to get it together by this stage - useless, useless, useless. at least you have his folks to support you and brill that you have both cath and daisy to help out.

clarice - big surgy bibes yr way.
CD - this could be it?? same for you HLm.

we coudl all be wakign up to another 3 babies on this thread???? how exciting.

i have taken to drinking raspberry leaf tea as my hot drink, there is also a jug cooling with ice cubes as my cool drink - and i have filled ice cube trays with it to crunch on later. going for the max.

the pavolva was a disaster - i cant scrape it off the paper - it is a sticky mess and no hope of salvage for it. have eaten the strawberries and cream instead and to heck with it.

off to practise my deep and belly breathing now, have my tea and head to bed for massage.

see you all in teh morning - hope you get a good nights kip..

weeonion · 11/04/2007 22:27

clarice - that should have read big surgey vibes your way

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2007 22:32

Go Clarice - Hope it happens for you tonight hon ......

Pains have petered out somewhat ; but we'll see .......

DH needs to use computer so I am buggering off again for a wee hwile - Sure I'll be on to say "night" to all you lovely ladies in a bit .......

nuttygirl · 11/04/2007 22:36

CB & CD - good luck to you both, hoping it's not just a false alarm.

LW - I sympathise with you, I've got a sore throat too and have had some paracetamol. Am gonna have another now then go to bed.

Anyone know if ring slings are ok? I've seen one I like on an ebay shop but not sure how much use I'll get out of it.
