soooooooo cute!

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 20:55

that's kinda how i feel Pesha, i'm so worried about when bby is here that i'd rather it stays in

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 20:55

and this bloody keyboard is skipping vowels again

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 20:56

and how weird are these?!

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 20:58

runnyhabbit · 06/04/2007 21:06

CD - I really feel for you. They sound very similar to my PIL. Tbh, I think your dh needs to have a word with them. And I would be thinking the same as you with regards to them looking after your dds when your in labour.
Our pil live about 30mins away (bit more on public transport, mil doesn't drive) and in 6 years I can count on one hand the number of times they've visited us. Its so upsetting because mil never made any secret of wanting grandchildren, yet she doesn't make any effort. Her favourite phrase on greetings card is "Hope to see you soon" honestly!

Pesha · 06/04/2007 21:15

Yeah im tired, fat, achey, hips hurt and can hardly walk, cant breathe...the list goes on but at least I know where I am and ive still got some control, kind of

Love the elephant shoes but I dont spend that much on shoes for myself! Well, not very often anyway!
And I saw those sock things the other day, very strange. Baby gap socks seem to be best for staying on. DD was due on haloween so i have a pair of white newborn gap socks with ghosts on and orange ones with bats that my mum bought for her! Unfortunately she was born on 6th nov so kinda missed abit but still wore them

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 21:18

the link came from a thread on which socks stay on, most of the votes were for Gap, the sock stay on things got thumbs up too, as did soggs

this is the thread

Pesha · 06/04/2007 21:26

Dont know if i should feel chuffed that I already knew the holy grail of socks or feel bit redundant that my great piece of advice is being bandied about by all and sundry already

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 21:28

be proud Pesha, very proud

Pesha · 06/04/2007 21:36

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 21:38

Hi all - Jack passed his weight check, hurrah, didn't want to be readmitted. Went out for a walk today and tried out the new double pushchair - ace. Except us fighting over who was going to push it

Hope everyone is well, I put on nearly 4 stone carrying the twinsand have lost just over 3 of them , so less than a stone to loose and tone up I still feel I could fold my tummy up.

The midwife says before pregnany the uterus is 1x2x3cm and in pregnany goes to 10x20x30cm but with twins goes to 45x45x30 so I have a lot of work to do.

More babies please..............

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:00

well done to Jack (and of course you oooggs) for putting on weight!

excellent news and really pleased for you x

it's been very quiet tonight so maybe it's cos they're all off giving birth?

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2007 22:10

I hope so Ellie!

Fab stuff about Jack and his weight gain Oooggs - sterling stuff in your boobies, obviously! Fab stuff about weight loss to - you go girl! I said "stuff" a lot in that paragraph - can' you tell I am tired!!?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for all your kind words and comments about my predicament - It has been really lovely to know that I am not alone in my PIL struggles - and thank you for wise words and advice about what I should do - Particularly liking weeonion suggestion about broaching it in a "how can we help you" type manner - thinking we should definitely do that ..... Just a question of actually finiding time to talk to them - they might have to actually make an effort and find a suitable slot in their busy social schedule .....

DH and I just had a loooong chat about it too - It is good to know he feels the same and is on my side. He's a bit of a wuss when it comes to talking to his parents though - can't blame him in a lots of ways though cos his dad is a scary ogre and his mum is a air-headed fairy - Interesting combo .....

oooggs · 06/04/2007 22:11

Maybe Ellie - lots of baby news tomorrow maybe?

Just read the May thred, very .

Off to bed now nite, hope to do some more posting tomorrow - but you can never tell!!!

oooggs · 06/04/2007 22:12

Hello Captain Dippy - just had to pass pleasantries before I visit the land of nod

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:14

CD haven't got around to your mammoth posting but I will i promise.

Ellie was just thinking the same.

We haven't heard from:

Nutty, Eddas....for a while.

On the socks just tried to order some from Gap.com and then realised they don't post to UK FGS!!!

Also Matalan do them for £1.25 (bless) but they are super cute and also stay on towelling ones, I wish I'd got some more now.

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2007 22:17

Bless you ooggs! Get some sleep, lady!!

Thank you Pinions - I await your comments (no pressure or anything!! !!)
