CaptainDippy · 06/04/2007 22:32

I'm ready!

How are you anyway Ellie - have movements been more / less today? Any mroe worries hon?? xx

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:33

DIPPY.

What I would say is this. Firstly it strikes a cord with me too, my family were sooooo hands on when ds1 was a gorgeous little new born , but as he grew bigger and bigger and more of a handful and lets be blunt bloody hard work I have to say that the novelty for want of a better word seemed to die off a bit.

TBH the honest the thing about "not being able to "cope" with the both of them at the same time, sorry to be blunt sounds like a load of old crap, and it sounds like she doesn't want to be arsed, not that she can't cope. Like you say she's had her own kids and I am sure is more than able of coping so as for going in to hospital then I am sure you have got nothing at all too worry about.

If you ask me, some "older folk" once they get to a certain age lose all the maternal/paternal feelings and instincts and just go into grey mode. Thats the way I see mine. Its the same now. I know exactly whats coming for the next year they won't be able to do enough for us, but after that and they turn into little screaming blighters the novelty will wear off again. But hey!

Mine live in Norfolk, yes 4 1/2 hrs drive away theres sth to worry about!!!

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:33

it hasn't stopped wriggling since i left hospital yesterday, little sod!

and i have loads of worries, hence bawling my eyes out earlier, but hey ho

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:34

can i have yours Pinions? they're not far from me

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:36

You would be very welcome. They seem to be in a bloody world of their own down there. There are about 8 houses on their street, not even any lamposts. There is a pub (so thats good) and a village hall and THATS IT!!!

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:37

that sounds like my village too
i love it tho

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2007 22:37

Thank you hon - that really does put a few things into perspective for me - Novelty value wearing off certainly rings a bell - though my PIL are better with older DD than younger as she is more interactive and can do more for herself, iykwim!!? Thank you -wil relay post to DH!

Definitely a boy then Ellie - little sod!!

Sorry. Forgot we should be using that word.

Wicked

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2007 22:38

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:39

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:41

Ellie which beaches are you near to.

Have got to admit that all the beaches that are near to theirs make me very very very .

We went to somewhere called opps??? forgotten already but it will come back in a mo.

Also Cromer and of course the ever popular Yaaaaarmouth. Great!

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:42

Felixstowe is my closest but it's stones
my nan lives in a flat on the seafront at Lowestoft (council too, so unfair!)
don't like Yarmouth, too many garry boys

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:43

love taking matthew crab fishing at southwold and walberswick

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:44

if they're in that part of Norfolk then their local hospital is James Paget, the one i was talking about the other day

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:45

We love yarmouth just for the crack. And please expand Garry boys??? Lowestoft I think is the next closest to my mums?

AND its bloody well boiling down there much warmer than up here.

Great in the summer but I hate it in the winter. But still can't have it both ways.

EllieKthePA · 06/04/2007 22:49

young lads with cars that they put stupid wheels and stickers and stuff on and tear up and down seafront (barry boys elsewhere i believe?)

I love it but the whole Lowestoft/Yarmouth area is very deprived, with the income being so seasonal, it just looks so destitute, worse in the winter

Pinions · 06/04/2007 22:49

Gorleston thats it. And they're always going on about Oulton Broads nr to Lowestoft I think?
