Furryfox such great news!

Lucy1977 · 23/04/2007 22:24

Furryfox, great news - lovely to have more positive scan results on the thread.

Bet you are over the moon to have seen your little one.

Nbg · 24/04/2007 07:58

Awww FurryFox thats lovely to hear. You must feel so relieved!

Lol at your ds Peanut
I'm so lucky to be having my ante-natal appts at home. I hate all that waiting around.

fifisworld · 24/04/2007 08:23

Thats wonderful news Furryfox,
Glad everything is ok

JARM · 24/04/2007 08:30

Fantastic News!!!

Anyone else considering maternity wear ALREADY?!

I can barely do my jeans up, have a definate bump and im only 8+3 (or is it 4?!)

Its annoying and heartbreaking - it better not be twins!

Great news Furryfox.

JARM - I'm wearing elasticated waists and planning on buying more yoga pants, as my jeans just feel so uncomfortable. With my hugely bloated tummy and humungous boobs, I look distinctly portly and I'm sure some friends suspect I am pregnant. I think I'll stick to yoga pants and loose tops for the time being though, rather than full-on maternity clothes.

Nbg · 24/04/2007 08:36

Yep me too JARM.

Have been wearing jogging pants really but I havent been anywhere to put anything else on.
I dont really want to wear maternity clothes yet.

8+3 deary

bambino1 · 24/04/2007 08:38

Wow i've missed a lot since sat!

Peanutbutter - welcome! How are you getting on so far?
Furryfox - That is great news! bet your really pleased

Well my blood tests came back negative so i'm not immune. Which was a as I have worked with children for 6yrs.
Had my first mw app yest and explained it all to her. She is going to do another bllod test on 9th may to see if I have got/had virus. If that comes back positive then I wil be refered to hosp for further investigations. All very worrying but trying to be positive.
Also got my first scan date which is 4th June. Seems like ages away!

The pain I was experiencing on the sat has gone now. Asked mw about it and she said that it was more than likely just my ligaments getting ready!

BeachBunni · 24/04/2007 08:59

Fantastic news furryfox, I'm sure that's a load off your mind
Getting a slightly thickening waist myself which always seems to get bigger at night for some reason. Got some jog pants at T.K. Maxx yesterday. I'm lucky as I get discounted uniform in the shop I work and as it does maternity I can get it at a quarter of the normal selling price. I'm refusing to spend a fortune on clothes I may never need again. Although my OH now has other plans. He's refused to have kids for six years and now he's looking for a football team

dundeemarmalade · 24/04/2007 10:18

furryfox - great news. think there are now 3 of us with EDD of 14th December.

went to gp this morning cos over the weekend my resplendent bosom deflated a bit (still pretty big but not as massive) and i stopped feeling sick, having spent most of last week feeling utterly wretched. she didn't seem to worried, and early pregnancy unit weren't remotely interested in me but gp has sent off for an early scan to check for missed mc. am due to start serial blood tests tomorrow too. wot fun. having sorted all of this out, i now feel completely yuck again and am working with bucket close by.
it's all so confusing! never thought i'd be relieved to feel sick.

insywinsyspider · 24/04/2007 10:38

hello all, missed loads passed few days!

congrats furry! glad to here that baby is doing well

dundee - hope scan comes thro quickly and puts your mind at rest

not in maternity clothes just yet but then think i'm only 6/7 weeks so bit early plus just bought new clothes for starting back at work on mon so hope i get some wear out of them!

am still pg testing and boobs are massive today - happened with ds and obviously dh is pleased he's just not allowed to touch them as very tender at mo - am pleased as no ms yet and feel ever so slightly pg, meeting with line manager about starting work was awkward, haven't told him yet and he was going on about major project he wants be no with big report out in March really really not looking forward to telling them!

thelady · 24/04/2007 12:23

Clothes. Arrgh! I've got to wear trousers here - skirts and pub just don't mix terribly well. I have enough trouble finding ones to fit normally - like one shop, in Edinburgh, 90 minutes away - and now I'm starting to worry.

Recommendations for a 1st-time mum who normally wears a 16/18 in Wallis trousers? Please?

mrsdarcy · 24/04/2007 13:44

What a worry for you Bambino.

I've just gone to the loo and there was a little bit of blood. Not much, and brown-ish (sorry, TMI). I know that if it's all going wrong there is nothing I can do about it, but I can't help worrying. I had the same thing with my first 2 pregnancies and all was fine. DD is asleep so I'm going to go and have a lie down and try not to worry.

I am worrying though .

Nbg · 24/04/2007 13:46

awww MrsD.

Just put your feet up if you can and maybe give your GP a ring.

skidaddle · 24/04/2007 15:04

Oh Mrsdarcy, I hope it is nothing - brown is better than red, isn't it? And if you had it before I'm sure it is nothing to worry about - let us know how you get on. Thinking of you x

Bambino - you poor thing, what a nightmare. Good that you're staying positive and fingers crossed for you.

Furry - great news!!!

Dundee - great you're feeling sick!!! (answered you properly on the other thread)

I'm not anywhere near ready for maternity clothes - I thought you couldn't possibly have a bump before 12 wks because the uterus is under the pelvic bone? Would love to be showing, or have ms, or just something to make me think i was actually pg

Insy - are you really still doing pg tests?!!! I am SO tempted but haven't given in (yet).

fifisworld · 24/04/2007 15:23

Hope you are ok mrsdarcy

I cant seem to fill myslef up these past few days,i eat and eat and im still hungry i'm going to be the size of a whale.
Still havent been sick but do feel a bit queasy. Ive got my booking in appointment tomorrow. My midwife rangthis morning and has dropped my notes off so ive filled in my personal details ready for tomorrow. I dont know why but it really hit me while i was filling it in that im going to have another baby.

mad4girls · 24/04/2007 16:00

good afternoon ladies

Furryfox- glad all is well, it must be so exciting to have a picture aleady (im v.jealous)

bambino- sorry to hear about test results, hat least they know u can have treatment if needed, good luck

dundee and mrsdarcy -cant imagine what your going through but hopefully ul have a better idea over the next few days, my thoughts are with you both.

jarm -i am also beggining to look huge not sure if all the food ive been eating though, but cant even fit into some newish clothes (bought them 2 days b4 bfp, typical!!)

i am quite chuffed as mw rang today and say she has appt tomrrow afternoon might take an hour for booking in etc,ad she will book scan for 10 wks which i think take us to last week in may. really excited though seems more real now.

anyway off to cook spag bol be back later for a chat take crae ladies

JARM · 24/04/2007 17:03

I havent even got the excuse of eating loads! Im hardly eating at all because of waves of sickness!

I think its just because its number 3 in the space of just over 3 years, so was never quite back to pre-pg weight anyway.

Have jsut ordered some trousers and a top from NEXT so I can go out looking respectable again!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 24/04/2007 17:11

I'm really scared that Im going to POP I did with DS (my second) and this is actually my 4th pregnancy after losing one at christmas.

I am bridesmaid on June 23rd and dress is already in and not really alterable.........................

Caz10 · 24/04/2007 17:16

Hi all! furryfox that is wonderful news! mrsdarcy hope you are ok, everything I've read says a little spotting is very common and nothing to worry about (I know you will though!)

Furryfox you have really confused me re dates - by 5+3 do you mean 5 weeks and 3 days? Because I have been given the due date of 11th Dec, and counting from my last period start date (5th March), i thought I was 7 weeks??

Am I totally wrong?!!

peanutbutter · 24/04/2007 19:20

dundeemarmalade and mrsdarcy - sorry to hear you're going through such a worrying time. Fingers crossed things settled down for you both.

insy - i'm also doing pregnancy tests still . did one just earlier this afternoon. love seeing that line come up!!

cazzycabs - oh dear, what sort of entertainment is it? is there nothing else you can book? does the other mum know you're pg? she'd probably be very sympathetic if you told her you're in the throes of ms and tireness etc.

furryfox - what good news, must be such a relief.

hello everyone else.

talking of maternity wear, i'm going in a cold sweat just thinking about it. lord only knows what size i'm going to get to this time

PeckaRolloverAgain · 24/04/2007 19:25

can you all just remind me that sharp pulling pains low down are ok?

Caz10 · 24/04/2007 19:29

Peck - I've been having pains exactly like bad period pains for a few weeks now, and so have others on here. I also realised ( ) that some of the other pains I was worrying about were trapped wind...

Call your doctor or midwife I'd say if pains are severe or unusual, although I am far from the expert. Hope you are feeling ok.

Peanutbutter I am still doing tests too, just bought a pack of 6 from access diagnostics which should hopefully see me through to my 12 wk scan at 1 a week!!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 24/04/2007 19:30

these are not like period dull pain. its sudden sharp pulling pain weird.

i hate how paranoid my miscarriage has made me

JARM · 24/04/2007 19:32

Pecka - I had a really sharp pain earlier too. I got up and it ripped through me.

Hoping it was a one off, cant be doing with getting scared now...... fingers crossed we are ok xxx
