Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 49th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 48th grads thread is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 63rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Sorry I've been awol, also going on holiday tomorrow so just been busy packing. Hope you're having a fab time just

That's brilliant fuzzy, so pleased. Was that 12w or an EPU scan?

I had midwife today, first time she's listened for heartbeat and measured bump. Got my MATB1 and sent away for our baby box. Ooh and physio appt is next Thursday.

I'm struggling to hold back from buying lots of cute clothes but I'm trying to at least be smart and buy 6-9 month stuff for next summer so we don't have loads of little sizes and waste it all.

FuzzyOwl · 12/09/2017 17:14

Thanks Nova and I hope you have a lovely time on holiday. It was my 12 week one and I was low enough risk on my screening that I don't really feel the need to worry now.

pretzelpieces · 12/09/2017 19:34

That's great fuzzy! Congratulations!

nova Have a great holiday! Where are you off? UK? Somewhere hot? City break? Let us live through you Grin

Hot, hot, hot Grin Off to visit family (and sit on my butt eating baklava).

Lovely! C doesn't do hot weather well at all so we're going to northern France on the ferry the first weekend in October for a week rather than doing a sun holiday this year. Poxy weak pound is going to make it quite expensive though.

pretzelpieces · 13/09/2017 00:16

Oof! Bit too hot for me! We're not having a holiday this year. Maybe next year.

We booked before the bfp and to be honest it would usually be under 30 by now, 25-29 I'd have expected. It will indeed be very toasty. Got my chafing cream ready Grin

France for a week sounds lovely tri and yeah, the exchange rate is awful.

TriJo · 13/09/2017 09:32

We feel it especially sharply because we are in Ireland a good bit for family reasons - when we got married in May 2015 there it was 70p to the euro, now it's over 90p. We're flying for Christmas when I'm just over 32 weeks and it's going to be a week long money pit.

18+2 and I am officially sick to the back teeth of middle aged suitwankers being selfish cunts on my train to work in the morning. An awful lot of gawping at my bump and badge and not a lot of seat-giving.

justtheonethen · 15/09/2017 06:56

Well Turkey is boiling, phew! Should have brought some chafing cream Grin

Hope everyone well, I'm definitely showing, more than I expected to at this point. And massive tits, feel like a porn star Grin

NovaArt3mis · 15/09/2017 15:44

Ridiculous heat in Cyprus too just. Not to rub it in (har har) but I did bring chafing cream Grin

I've started getting a shooting pain in my ear at random intervals. Hope it goes away, would really love to avoid going to chemist.

justtheonethen · 15/09/2017 16:04

#jealous Grin

justtheonethen · 15/09/2017 16:05

Ooh hope the ear clears up. Don't leave it too long though as ear infections get nasty.

NovaArt3mis · 15/09/2017 16:35

Yeah if it gets any worse tonight I'll stop by somewhere on the way home from dinner or tomorrow morning.

I've had another couple of teary "I'm terrified of the future" episodes (no more panic attacks tho). Think it's a mixture of being away from home and repeatedly being told "ohh you're whole lives are going to change. Let me list all the difficult things coming your way'. DH has been brilliant though.

justtheonethen · 15/09/2017 17:41

Sorry you're feeling anxious nova. People are idiots aren't they?

pretzelpieces · 15/09/2017 19:05

Chafing cream Grin

Fucking doom and gloom brigade. They never tell you all the nice things that balance out the (literal) shit: baby cuddles, looking at someone and loving them so much, thinking "I made that person!", always having something to look forward to because they are always growing and changing.

There are plenty of doom and gloomers about having a second too 🙄 wankfaces can jog on. Of course there's hard stuff but people choose to have a second (and third and fourth and so on, in some cases) and if you didn't want your life to change at all, you wouldn't be having kids. That's the bit I always found daft.

They really got me down the first time though nova and I'm angry that my first pregnancy was that much more anxious than it needed to be. Angry on your behalf.

Forgot to say we found out we're having another girl today!

OP posts:
NovaArt3mis · 15/09/2017 22:03

So glad to know it's not just me over-reacting. Most of the time I'm so excited and then I just have this momentary panic and feel like I could throw up at the prospect of raising a child. It's a bit crap Sad

That's fab pretzel, what age is DD1?

justtheonethen · 16/09/2017 06:45

pretzel Smile to little girl. Lovely for your dd, I had a similar age gap with my sister (I think) and we are best pals.

Doom and gloom brigade can sod off. You put that so eloquently that it made me well up, I actually can't wait for all of it. I just laugh at people now and say that I've hardly come at it without thinking about it, I also tend to say I planned to be on my third baby by now and that usually shuts her up.

I'm choosing to believe that whilst it will be the hardest time in one way it will be the best for the reasons pretzel gives.

NovaArt3mis · 16/09/2017 20:31

I'm starting to realise it's not the actual baby I'm afraid of. It's more the things I can't control and don't like to think about being brought to the forefront (ageing, the passing of time, change etc). By the time the little lady arrives it'll be 3 years since we made the decision to start a family so yeah, like you just, it's been a long time coming. I think it's just finally beginning to feel quite real.

Anyway, enough about my anxiety! How's everyone? Can we have a gestation reminder? I'm 22 weeks today.

Oh and my ankles have finally swollen in the heat. Any recs? Got my feet in a bucket of cold water atm.

justtheonethen · 16/09/2017 20:57

15+1

Soak them in tonic water nova and take magnesium supplements.

TriJo · 16/09/2017 21:00

18+5

Not a clue re what to do about swollen feet apart from resting them!

pretzelpieces · 17/09/2017 23:17

20+4

DD1 will be 2yo the day after my due date for DD2 (squee). I'm one of two sisters, two years apart also!

FuzzyOwl · 17/09/2017 23:31

Oh Nova that sounds tough. All my pregnancies have been completely taken over by anxiety and it's horrendous. Do you have a perinatal MH support team or similar that you can chat to about getting help? I don't know if this will help or bring you any comfort but I suffered terribly in my previous pregnancies (had suicidal feelings at times) and was convinced it would turn into PND but, as soon as I gave birth, everything was absolutely fine and despite not being at all maternity, and I love being a mum which was a complete surprise (DH wanted children, not me).

Two girls will be fab pretzel. My two have a small age gap and love each other. I am really hoping this baby will join them and they can be a trio of best friends.

Hope you are enjoying your holiday just and everyone has had a good weekend.

I am 12 weeks now and certain I saw a girl nub at my dating scan. Still completely lacking in many symptoms, which always worries me, but tired and anxious. I'm looking forward to the insomnia going but seem to recall DD2 was several months old last time so not optimistic of it being any time soon.

FuzzyOwl · 18/09/2017 11:19

I'm bleeding again today and not really sure what to do. I don't think my midwife will be interested as I have had three scans since seven weeks and all show everything is ok, and that there is no reason for the bleeding but it is really worrying me.

justtheonethen · 18/09/2017 14:19

Call anyway fuzzy it says you should on the front of my notes. I'm sure it's nothing but they should still check it out.
