@suntraveller - yes, I had a sore hip for a bit - felt like my hip flexer was tearing a bit! I think mine was just because all the ligaments ease up so I must have pulled a muscle by over stretching. Yours could be due to something similar?

Flatwhite31 · 12/09/2017 18:12

Not doing ok at all @xxHappyHippyxx. Should be hearing my baby's heartbeat next week, but instead I'm in floods of tears with two positive pregnancy tests knowing I have no baby. The heartbreak is indescribable.

whyhastherumgone · 12/09/2017 18:25

@fuzzyowl yes same here - 150. I'm unsure about whether it's the combined risk - I had a good Nuchal measurement - but the letter doesn't specify whether it's combined or not. My BMI is 27 so that may have pushed my risk up slightly.
I don't know whether to take it at face value as low risk or whether to look into further testing. Might speak to midwife tomorrow to see if I can establish whether it's the combined result or not...

scottishem · 12/09/2017 18:50

How long did it take for people to get the results back for downs syndrome?
I was told 7-10 days if high risk but 3 weeks for a letter if low risk. Just wondering if that's them covering their own backs by giving a big window.

I'm also veryy tired! Still needing a nap after work but no where near as exhausted as I was in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

FuzzyOwl · 12/09/2017 19:06

Thinking of you @Flatwhite31. I think it took me almost six weeks to get a BFN after my MMC and I don't know why, but I found it devasting as if all last evidence of the little baby had gone. I hope you have lots of RL support.

@suntraveller any chance it could be PGP making an appearance?

@whyhastherumgone if it is a letter you have received and you asked for the full testing to be done, I would imagine it is the combined results. My paperwork has both on and I didn't get the background risk first; it just came as one. Do speak to your midwife but remember that your risk is still minuscule and the combined test has a high false positive rate.

@scottishem I got mine at the same time that I had my scan. However, with DD1 (different hospital) it was posted to me and I was told you hear by phone within 48 hours if high risk and otherwise up to a couple of weeks by letter.

Evening everyone! I've not posted much but have been reading. Just wondering if anyone else is getting 'growing pains' around right and left hip and right side? I'm 13+4 also my symptoms seemed to have ramped up again my boobs are agony!!

lokelani · 12/09/2017 19:37

@Tigger83 yes it's round ligament pain most likely. But if it gets severe you should get it checked out. I saw a DR for another matter today and I said about pains and he gave a visual display of how big our wombs are at this stage and what that's doing inside!

whyhastherumgone · 12/09/2017 20:23

Thanks @fuzzyowl i will talk to midwife tomorrow and, after discussing with DH, will consider the harmony test for peace of mind I think even though i know our chances are really low.

suntraveller · 12/09/2017 20:31

@bumpkin it's probably something that especially as it's just on busier days and when I sleep it goes.
@fuzzy PGP? (Off to google, and then only agree with the nice parts of google findings Smile )

whyhastherumgone · 12/09/2017 20:35

Ha @suntraveller i love that approach to googling

lolo1993 · 12/09/2017 22:18

Goodness, I just typed a huge message and it disappeared! Gah!

I was going to post that info about Doppler use too, it's so tempting at this stage because I've no idea what's going on in there at the moment but I'm hoping that I'll get some regular movement soon (was fairly early in previous pregnancies though currently my placenta is anterior so may affect it) so am just trying to tread water until my next MW appt in a couple of weeks. It scares me that I'd get dependent on a Doppler though and might miss something vital later on.

Welcome Kaffiene I am also expecting a surprise baby with a large age gap - my youngest will be 10 in January, congratulations!

I can't remember everything else I wrote Blush

Littlechinagirl · 12/09/2017 22:56

Hi all... Another march baby here. Baby no 1 and due on 21st march

I've spent all my sunmer holidays sick and nauseous which sucks but did go for scan yesterday and am 12.6w today. All looked good. Feels more real now.

I'd just like to stop stuffing my face now though and start to enjoy it Smile

Hi all! New thread is v quiet - is it time I got myself over to the fb group?

mamasiz · 13/09/2017 08:08

Doh - my phone wasn't updating the app! Not quiet at all!

whyhastherumgone · 13/09/2017 08:18

welcome newbies and congrats! Lovely scan photos.

Hey @mamasiz how are you? The app can be a bit temperamental! I think I'm going to join the FB group once I've had the harmony test - which I'm leaning towards now, so hopefully in a couple of weeks :)

CCBloom1 · 13/09/2017 08:33

Good Luck today with your scan @Bumpkin21 :) exciting times

Fizzie100 · 13/09/2017 08:53

Sorry to be thick but how do I DM fuzzy owl?

whyhastherumgone · 13/09/2017 09:45

@Fizzie100 if you click on 'My Mumsnet' at the top [if you're on the computer] and it should say messages or inbox. Then once you've selected that, you can choose new message and just type FuzzyOwl in the recipient box :)

I've just booked the Harmony test for Friday after lots of dithering. We get another scan as part of it so I'm pleased about that as our '12 week' was done early at 11+3 so feel like this will [hopefully] be even more reassuring with the added bonus of hopefully getting more accurate risk results and finding out the gender too!

How is everyone today?

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 13/09/2017 10:04

I've just seen your post about your harmony @whyhastherumgone. Pregnancy is a worrying time without extra worries so hopefully this will provide some reassurance Smile

I'm 12+2 today and have my 12 week scan tomorrow (it was only booked yesterday!) so I've got full on scanxiety but mainly just really excited. I'm going on my own though as DH can't get off work with the short notice so I'm a bit sad for him

whyhastherumgone · 13/09/2017 10:13

Thanks @sallywiththegoodhurr that's what I figured - if this is going to cause additional worry on top, I'd rather just have the extra test as we're fortunate enough to be able to afford it.

Ooh good luck with your scan - what time is it? Will be sending all the good luck vibes your way. Shame DH can't make it though - you'll have to make sure you get pics. Sometimes they let you film the screen on your mobile too if you explain, so he can see a video!

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 13/09/2017 10:56

Thank you @whyhastherumgone, it's at 11am so by the time I've done the school run and sorted myself out it will be time to go, hopefully no time to over think and worry in the morning.

I'm concerned there will only be 1 twin left but what will be will be I suppose (I have no reason to suspect, just paranoia)

mrskitty15 · 13/09/2017 11:36

Major scanxiety here too! My 12 week scan tomorrow too and feeling nervous now, I don't think I will be getting much sleep tonight. Good luck to everyone with scans coming up.

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 13/09/2017 11:49

Good luck @mrskitty15! Fingers crossed everyone has healthy scans

KittyKat73 · 13/09/2017 11:54
