Congrats all on lovely scans!

whyhastherumgone · 08/09/2017 08:19

@hometownunicorn that does sound stressful :( hope you can get it sorted today. x

whyhastherumgone · 08/09/2017 08:53

Thank you @flatwhite31 that's so so sweet of you. Hope you're doing okay x

hometownunicorn · 08/09/2017 10:19

Thanks @whyhastherumgone Just called them and finally got through and got a really helpful woman who said it's all booked for next Friday. Just got a week for scanxiety to build.

Has anyone else got really clumsy? I can't stop dropping and losing things. It's getting really annoying!

KittyKat73 · 08/09/2017 10:26

Hello ladies hope its ok if I join :)

based on my booking appointment and me and DH counting back we are due 5th march. Althought had my first scan and they said I was further along and due 22nd February ( Although those dates dont really match up so im thinking we were right about march but i might have a slightly bigger baby)

so if we go with scan im 16 weeks. Still getting nausea and occasionally bring up my breakfast ( which i have just done 2 seconds ago) so sitting here feeling sorry for myself lol

Flatwhite31 · 08/09/2017 15:21

Putting on the best act of being ok @whyhastherumgone, but inside I'm very sad. The only reason I leave home at the moment is to go to work. I don't want to socialise or go out.

Welcome to the newbies and congratulations, send a message to FuzzyOwl with your Facebook email address if you want to join the Facebook group.

Sorry to hear it's still so hard @FlatWhite31, have you thought about speaking to a counsellor for a bit? Also to those in your family who knew. Having chats where you don't pretend to be ok is very important. Have you started TTC again yet, or does it still feel too soon?

Flatwhite31 · 09/09/2017 08:48

It has only been two weeks @Excited0803 although it feels like forever Sad. I can't TTC yet as still getting positive HPTs and am still bleeding on and off. People assume MC/MMC is over quickly. It's not unfortunately. Women in general don't know anything about it (I didn't!) unless it happens to them. It's because nobody talks about it, which is really sad. I might try counselling, but soon I'll be working 50-60 hours a week, so probably won't have time.

Excited0803 · 09/09/2017 08:58

Sorry to hear that. I think you just have to make the time, it can be so easy to push unhappiness under the rug, but that's not healthy.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 09/09/2017 14:33

Hello ladies!
So after finding out baby had died at 9+5 at my 12 week scan- i passed the baby in a natural mc last night at 12+5 while here on holiday in spain. I'm put off ttc now, Just going to focus on DD, She's only 19m and I'm only 24 so have plenty of time.. time for a new job aswell i think!

I hope your all okay.. lots of love xx

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 09/09/2017 14:43

Oh @BlueeSpottyTiger, I've been thinking of you lately.

I'm so sorry about your MC, please take care of yourself and squeeze your little girl extra tight x

Flatwhite31 · 09/09/2017 15:17

Oh @BlueeSpottyTiger that is my exact story too, except I didn't MC naturally so had to have ERPC. I'm so sorry to hear your news. If you want to join us on a MC thread on here, let me know. Everyone there is lovely and very understanding. Really sorry. Xxx

BeckleinDisguise · 09/09/2017 22:00

Hi all, feeling slightly bad that I posted once and then disappeared. I work in a school and went back this week so have basically been working and sleeping - I only work mornings!

flatwhite and bluespottytiger - sending lots of unmumsnetty hugs to you both, I have suffered several mmc and have miscarried naturally and had D&Cs, both are awful and the only advice I have is to give yourself time and let yourself heal. flatwhite, I have bled from anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks afterwards, I'm not sure there is a 'normal' but I hope it settles down soon for you x

countdowntofour, a very late response to your question but I have 2 teenage boys and a 9yo DD already, how about you?

wingingitwithmonkeys, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a surprise baby on the way! My eldest DS keeps making jokes about how he thought it was young people who were irresponsible! Cheeky toad!

I'm still left with a nasty taste after eating and drinking but the nausea seems to be easing slightly, some hot food is going down a bit easier! I don't know if I've put on weight but I know my waistline has expanded a fair bit (though doesn't seem to be growing much to me), I don't have many clothes that still fit.

eatingcrisps - carbs and apple juice are some of the only things I can get down still! Nothing fresh at all, poor baby! Fizzy drinks are also good at the moment - I can't usually stand them! I also had the same thing as you with my urine sample but thankfully second one was clear.

Looking forward to my next MW appointment in a couple of weeks as they'll listen for the HB for me, I'll be past my latest 'danger' point by then and hopefully feel a little reassured - still feeling very panicky about things going wrong currently.

Countdowntofour · 10/09/2017 09:26

@beckleindisguise I have 3 girls! Eldest is 10, then middle is 7 and littlest is 4. Very girl dominated household and I like it that way 😁

14+3 now, I don't like this stage much as can't feel movement, there's not a big bump or anything and the symptoms are really minimal!! Bring on the movement!

scottishem · 10/09/2017 15:10

When will this sickness stoppp!! Envy I go a couple of days without throwing up (but still nauseous) and then bam! spend the next 2 days throwing up loads!
Anyone else still suffering??

lokelani · 10/09/2017 15:41

Yes me! 14+3 and feel so sick today! I think I forgot to take my meds last night. Trying to have a snooze but sleep escapes me. Still sick most days but not as bad as it was. Just trying to remember that.

ZylaB · 10/09/2017 16:58

I've got to take a second urine sample in tomorrow too. I'm wondering if I do have an infection as I'm even more tired, been going to sleep at 6.30/7pm :(. Hope everyone's come back clear.

FuzzyOwl · 10/09/2017 17:08

I'm another one who has to do a second urine sample. Should get the results in the next couple of days and suspect I have a uti.

bluespottytiger I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Take care of yourself.

flatwhite thanks for checking in, I guess being on this thread might be hard for you. I hope the bleeding stops soon. With my mc, I had about 3 weeks bleeding, a week off and then a period so it felt like it went on forever. It's such a horrible, drawn out process to go through.

em and lokelani I hope you feel a bit better soon. My nausea is mostly gone, unless I get too hungry, which I'm finding a bit anxiety provoking.

zyla and fuzzy I hope you don't have infections.

I've still got loads of spots which I hate. Does anyone have any good ideas for pregnancy suitable ways to clear them up? The cream I normally use says not to use in pregnancy.

Onceuponamama · 10/09/2017 19:50

Still sick here too! Everyday... it's so miserable but is much better than a few weeks ago!

I've found out from my midwife that I'll be consultant led due to thrombosis risk... do you think that means I might not be able to have a water birth?

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend

FuzzyOwl · 10/09/2017 21:59

Thanks hometown.

I would imagine that if everything is going well that a water birth would be fine Onceupon but that decision might need to be made later on. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi all, marking my place with a slight change in username! 12 week scan tomorrow really want to have done with now as finding thought of it very distracting. Keep thinking that there will be no baby there at all and they will think I'm some massive fraud!
Also getting v bad headaches at the mo which paracetamol is only just about helping with, normally ibuprofen works better for me but can't take it now! Have actually taken today off work which is first since pregnancy but really tired and can't really concentrate with the headache.

KittyKat73 · 11/09/2017 10:28

Bluespottytiger and flatwhite Im so sorry to hear what you have been going through and to hear about your loss. Please look after and take care of yourself.

Hometown im finding I am becoming very spotty too! I Read somewhere that having a baby boy makes you spotty although I dont want to know gender Im having and dont want to know until birth.

NorthernBelly · 11/09/2017 11:38

So sorry @BlueeSpottyTiger, such sad news. @Flatwhite31, hope things start to get a bit easier soon. With my miscarriage @ 7 weeks I bled for 6 weeks. It felt like it was never ending. I was very relieved when I finally got a negative hpt around the same time. Try to take each day at a time.

I have had my 12 week scan last week and all looking good. Came off my progesterone suppositories last week which was a bit nerve racking but a relief too. My blood pressure was a bit high (138/90) at my last app so have to go to GP today to get it checked again. I had high blood pressure with my daughter and she ended up being induced. The high blood pressure didn't start till 30+ weeks last time so I'm petrified now as I'm only 14 weeks. I have terrible 'white coat syndrome' so I think that is adding to it. Anyone else have high blood pressure?

NorthernBelly · 11/09/2017 11:39

Also I have awful constipation!!! Any advice please!
