We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

AlexsMum89 · 13/09/2017 23:52

I'm sorry @Soph Flowers

I'm having a panic now, I've had some pink discharge and I'm properly terrified. I'm not going to be able to sleep, I can't even get my heart rate down to a reasonable level. Confused

MegsMog · 14/09/2017 06:25

What rotten luck sophherts so sorry to hear that. Do look after yourself - an early loss is still a loss x

Gyoza · 14/09/2017 06:30

Any other runners here? I'm running a charity 10k in a few weeks but planning to take it easy, I normally run quite a lot and have a training run planned with a friend tonight. A lot of things on internet say to consult doctor first but I haven't actually been to see the doctors, I just called up the midwife booking line once I found out.

@alexsmum89 I hope you managed to get some sleep, fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about x

HerSymphonyAndSong · 14/09/2017 07:11

Gyoza yes I do - and I also have a 10K in 3 weeks! I haven't been able to run for the last few weeks because my breasts have been so painful, but I'm going to get an even more robust sports bra so that I can keep going. I am not planning to consult a doctor about it. The advice I think is not to push yourself to exhaustion and if you feel unwell or uncomfortable then stop (listen to your body basically)

HerSymphonyAndSong · 14/09/2017 07:12

If the worst comes to the worst I will walk the 10k

Gyoza · 14/09/2017 07:27

@hersymphonyandsong are you doing the great Scottish run? I was signed up for the half but my training wasn't going v well and now I'm pregnant I decided to switch to 10k,feel bad for my running buddy though as I keep making excuses why I can't train with her at the moment!

Dorotha · 14/09/2017 08:05

I'm very sorry about your loss @sophherts

PhoenixDown · 14/09/2017 08:09

Very sorry soph :( look after yourself x

PhoenixDown · 14/09/2017 08:10

Well I feel utterly grim this morning to say I don't think I'm even 5 weeks yet. Had a bit of a retch over the loo, lovely. Trying to nibble a breakfast bar sat in car waiting to go into work. I'd give anything to be in my bed right now!

Lindyj0 · 14/09/2017 08:16

Sorry to hear your sad news @Sophherts. Hope you are ok x

Kirstipops · 14/09/2017 08:17

So sorry to read this soph, hope you take all the support you can xx

For the runners, I agree as long as you "listen to your body" then you'll be grand, I think it's just if you're starting up a brand new regime and you don't normally exercise it's best to check with a doc or a midwife first. I am battling a yucky viral sinusy/tonsilly thing at the moment, I really want to get into my Jillian Michaels dvds again though, I guess I'll just have to avoid the abs moves?

Welcome to all the newcomers too :)

Hummingbird15 · 14/09/2017 08:32

Very sorry to hear your news Soph, hope you have lots of support and love x

RedPanda25 · 14/09/2017 08:34

So sorry @sophherts, really hope you've got someone irl supporting you. Big hugs xx

Hummingbird15 · 14/09/2017 08:35

whatamuddle can you call the spa place and explain - asking for their discretion on Saturday. They'll be able to advise you on what treatments are possible. Or ask if you can just use the chill out area and lie on the beds there to get a nap to help fuel you through the evening?

sophherts · 14/09/2017 08:40

Thank you all. I'm having a duvet day to let nature take its course and my DH is working from home to keep me company (and bring me tea).

cautiousoptimist1 · 14/09/2017 08:45

Sorry to hear that @soph, I'm glad that your husband is with you, look after each other.

Gyoza no, it's a local charity 10K (I live in England)

Kirsti re JM I think it's also a case of making sure you don't overheat too. I did a gentle DVD the other day (low impact to avoid breast pain!) and my lower back was quite sore later which I've never had before (ligaments loosening up?) so I will need to be careful with anything that puts too much pressure there
