We're pretty early but thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is here already.

I'm 4+1, apparently due around 2 May. Would be great to have some company :). Already obsessing over every little thing. The next 8 weeks are going to drag!

Hi all, 5+3 today, due 12May. Joining with fingers crossed as miscarriage at 10w last December. Nausea kicked in so good sign and BFP on Saturday. Have a DC 7 years so long time ttc!

LadyPug · 12/09/2017 23:13

Hey everyone, I popped on earlier to say hi but took some time this evening to read back and find out more about everyone.

Hi squashymummy motherofboy and xjo who I know from the conception thread!

Hello babylord we are due date twins! I also have a DD already and PhoenixDown I laughed at your post - I also had a faint test this morning and ran to Boots to get a FRER. I'm due the day after you!

A bit about me, I'm 34, second DC and lucky enough to get pregnant first cycle even though we only dtd once in the month! Insane! I had an awful birth experience last time - like most of you, induction ended in emc, midwife on duty was awful (although right at last minute shifts changed so an amazing midwife saw my little girl into the world) and awful postnatal care.

To top it all off, I'm tocophobic. I'm a bit nervous talking about that here but I think awareness is important. Tokophobes are literally phobic about pregnancy or birth. For me, I'm very phobic about pregnancy which makes the journey even harder (and is an embarrassing and difficult thing to have to discuss with people).

Symptom wise I'm a bit worried that I have zero. Apart from a positive test and some fatigue I'm right as rain. I'm especially worried that boobs feel fine as that was first sign last time! Anyway, sorry for the long message but lovely to meet you all!

PhoenixDown · 12/09/2017 23:23

@LadyPug we are very similar! I am 34 with one daughter, and also got pregnant on first cycle Shock. I also have no symptoms apart from very mild nausea occasionally. My boobs don't hurt at all either - maybe because they're already a bit stretched from last time BlushGrin

Tocophobia must be awful Sad Hopefully you will see a good consultant and midwives who will be supportive and devise a plan of care that works for you.

welcome @skyrose and congrats Grin

LadyPug · 13/09/2017 07:17

So similar PhoenixDown thank you for your support! Haha yes maybe my boobs have already been too battered previously! And welcome skyrose

Xjo1992x · 13/09/2017 07:56

Hi @LadyPug good to see you here Smile

cautiousoptimist1 · 13/09/2017 08:21

Hi Ladies,

May I cautiously join in? I'm another graduate from the lucky TTC #2 September thread.

I have a 15 month old with #2 due on 19th May so I'll briefly have 2 under 2! I'm very nervous about something going wrong but keeping positive.

I had a wonderful birth experience last time and think it's simply down to the amazing midwives I encountered. I was the only person on the labour ward and was met by the midwife in charge who showed my DH how to massage my back through the contractions and helped me decide to go for a pool birth. I ended up having 2 midwives as it was so quiet and one had never seen a water birth. Unfortunately I lost 800ml afterwards so think I need to be consultant led this time which means I'd need to travel to the bigger hospital Confused.

I'm supposed to be a bridesmaid early next year and I'm not sure how well my news will be received but let's wait and see!

MooChops89 · 13/09/2017 08:46

Have just finished nights and really struggled, was so tired and felt sick about 4am... one of my colleagues guessed, that's the thing about midwives 😂

Poppy012 · 13/09/2017 08:51

Hi hope your all doing well 😁
Still having very light spotting/discharge a week on Confused on and off although scan Friday showed all was well and saw the heartbeat. I'm now 7 weeks 1 day. Have another doctors appointment tomorrow, need some reassurance! Anyone else having this?

LadyPug · 13/09/2017 09:04

Hey!!! cautious so wonderful to see you here! Welcome :-)

LadyPug · 13/09/2017 09:06

Oh no moo how are you doing nights? I wouldn't be able to cope!

LadyPug · 13/09/2017 09:07

Poppy I hope everything is ok! No advice I'm afraid but thinking of you!

Poppy012 · 13/09/2017 09:14

Thanks @ladypug
They did say at the epau that it's very common and not to worry as it's the baby burrowing in apparently, but still it's stressing me out a little
as to why it's still happening a week later! It's only when I wipe or a tiny 5p piece worth on my panty liner and it's not red so maybe I shouldn't worry so much!

Dorotha · 13/09/2017 10:28

Guys, don't wish for sickness, it's horrible! My mum has 3 daughters and never experienced any pregnancy nausea. How freaking lucky is that?

I'm feeling really really sick today. My son thought 4:45am was a great time to come to my bed for cuddles, slobbery kisses and a million 'I love you the best mummy'. Very sweet but way way too early, son. I'm now really struggling at work through nausea and sleep deprivation. Can't have any coffee because it's making me gag. How else am I supposed to stay awake? Sad

Finally filled out the referral form online last night. I'm around 6 and half weeks and still in denial!

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 13/09/2017 11:27

Hello cautiousoptimist - glad you got your bfp in the end!

I am currently getting intermittent waves of nausea. It seems to be if I haven't eaten in a while. The fatigue is fairly constant and not helped by DS wanting to start this morning far too early for my liking. He's been a bit unwell and whingy recently, so it's nice he's in a better mood, but later this morning would have been better

Fillybee · 13/09/2017 11:46

Have gagged on the toothbrush a couple times but no real nausea here. I am grateful as I absolutely hate feeling/being sick. With my son I didn't really have much so don't think it's necessarily a bad sign.

Went through the airport scanner this morning without thinking, it's not X-ray but don't really know what the technology is, hope it's ok! I'm 7 weeks today. Heading to Italy for a friend's wedding, I'm sure everyone will guess why I'm not drinking! xx

Dorotha · 13/09/2017 12:09

Wedding in Italy! How exciting! Enjoy!

Karpuzkiz · 13/09/2017 15:07

Hi all, finally found the thread, I'm also from the September bus. About 5 weeks, and so so so so tired. I could sleep at my desk and wake up like I haven't slept!

We are off on holiday on Saturday so hoping that will help. My in-laws live abroad so we are going to tell them whilst we are there which will be nice. My little girl is 3 today, so I'm a little emotional but will be the perfect age gap for us.

Just hoping everything goes well, I've my booking in appointment tomorrow too, I'm just desperate for a date for the scan!

PhoenixDown · 13/09/2017 16:54

Nausea kicking in already. Bleurrrghh 🤢

PhoenixDown · 13/09/2017 16:59

@FillyBee the scanners are fine in pregnancy, I went away when I was 8 weeks with DD. The radiation is so low, apparently you could go through 200 times and still wouldn't be exposed to any dangerous level :)

MooChops89 · 13/09/2017 17:42

I've started to get nauseous too the last few days, can't decide if I'm hungry or if I feel too sick. And I can never decide what I fancy to eat at the moment! Thinking of getting back to the gym, probably just swimming and yoga as I'm exhausted and out of breath a lot already but hoping increasing my fitness a little might help. Don't reckon I could cope with couch to 5k at the min! There's some classes at the gym I love but think they might be too intense, I'm scared to even sneeze at the min 😂

Whatamuddleduck · 13/09/2017 18:04

Hi everyone. I'm 7w1d today and I have a hen do on Saturday. I've just been looking at the plan: lunch (no issue I'm eating loads), a race around an outside treasure hunt(I'm bloody knackered walking car to door atm), afternoon in the spa getting treatment, swimming/sauna /jacuzzi (was meant to be having a massage and can't swim due to progesterone pessaries), followed by drinking games in the brides hotel room, dinner at 8 (I'm in bed by 8 ATM) and then more drinking and dancing. Staying in hotel then breakfast and afternoon tea. I'm usually quite energetic and I really want to be part of and enjoy the weekend but I know I'll have no energy and I've no idea what to do about the spa! I don't think I can have any of the treatments except a manicure but I'm really phobic about people touching my nails (weird I know). Can you give me your best ideas about how to enjoy the weekend whilst also not telling anyone I'm pg?

That really was a lucky thread, welcome sept ttc#2ers ladypug cautious karpuzkiz

Cautious* I lost 2litres with my first. I hadn't thought that might make me consultant led, but def puts me off anything but the main hospital for this birth. The response was so quick and efficient last time.

I'm 4+3 and virtually no symptoms. I'm worrying a bit that it's not real. Our circumstances have changed very recently, and if this bean doesn't stick, we won't be able to try again for a long time. Crossing everything!

MegsMog · 13/09/2017 18:59

Whatamuddle I would personally be ok with a massage whilst pregnant, you could ask them to focus on your back and shoulders / arms and legs, & not touch your tummy?

I'm on holiday ATM and also using progesterone pessaries, I do them first thing and last thing so there's been no issue with swimming. If you feel anxious about leaking you can put them up your bum, less leaking apparently! (Oh the glamour....) I haven't been told not to swim with them. You might be able to sneak away for the dancing part, maybe just slip into conversation earlier that day that you think you're coming down with something? Good luck!

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 13/09/2017 19:00

Congrats karpuzkiz - looks like the September thread was very lucky!

sophherts · 13/09/2017 19:26

I miscarried today at 4+5, very sad but clearly not meant to be this month.

I went to the early pregnancy unit with spotting & cramps and they tested my blood and came back later on saying I was miscarrying.

Back to TTC & keeping everything crossed for the future.
