Looks like you had a perfect day, Haz.

I suffered from reflux a few months ago Topsy but it's calmed down recently. Baby was head down at last scan, 2 weeks ago. I remember swigging from a bottle of Gaviscon last time and DD was breech at some point but can't recall if it was at the same point.

Completed on the new house yesterday and moving today. Going to have to clean both places this afternoon/tomorrow morning as well as unpack ... I'm tired thinking about it!

butterybollocks · 01/09/2017 09:06

Gorgeous pics haz.

I'm currently sitting in the docs - the start of the two hour wait for my glucose tolerance test. Fun.

Off to burghley horse trials tomorrow which is one of my favourite days of the year, it's a lot of walking so not sure how it will be but we're taking a picnic and the weather looks good.

Hope your move goes smoothly zampa!

CiCiClementine · 01/09/2017 09:58

@Haz, @Agnu - just to say that my midwife confirmed i was anaemic last week, my iron levels have dropped quite dramatically but was pleased to find out as explains the extreme tiredness!
She recommend a liquid iron supplement called Floradix and i bought off Amazon Prime, a big bottle for about £10. I was sceptical but after 5 days of taking, i feel a million times better! May be worth looking into and asking your midwife about.

@Haz, your photos are lovely - congratulations and such a sunny weekend too
x

Baby was in breech and I was very uncomfortable and had sharp pains but don't think it was heartburn. Have packed some gaviscon to take on holiday with me - off to Italy today! Fingers crossed for no early arrivals lol!

Hazandduck · 01/09/2017 12:32

Thank you everyone! Smile

Have a lovely time @Lydia! Whereabouts in Italy?

@Cici Ah thank you for the tip I'm going to have a look now!

Has anyone else on here who doesn't know what they're having felt the overwhelming urge to find out now we are in the last stretch? I don't know why I keep googling scan pictures and reading old wives' tales about it trying to find out! It's only another 10 weeks but I've suddenly become desperate to know lol x

Topsyloulou · 01/09/2017 15:22

Hope the gtt goes ok @butterybollocks, I've got mine on Monday. I live about 15 minutes from Burghley, we normally go but decided I wasn't up to walking the course this year given how tired I've been after recent days out so giving it a miss. Have a great time.

Hope the move goes well @Zampa

I bought a little bottle of gaviscon today & if it does the trick I'll ask the dr for some. My dr is quite good & I can have a phone consultation to get a prescription so need to go in other than to collect the meds.

I was on iron tablets last pregnancy & they did make a difference, take them with orange juice, the vitamin c helps the iron absorption & the juice helps with constipation. I've heard good things about the liquid supplements too.

butterybollocks · 01/09/2017 15:52

You can't be too far from me topsy - burghley is about 40 mins from us. Not sure I'll make it round the course this year but hopefully will find a nice spot to picnic and watch the action. At least I can't be tempted by clothes shopping this year.

Gtt was fine although won't get results straight away. Just really boring sitting in the docs waiting room trying to avoid children with potential chicken pox etc..
I was glad I took a book to read.

lydiangel83 · 01/09/2017 16:42

Thanks @Hazandduck :) it's surprise for us and I'm keen to know now but won't do after not knowing for all this time! Would help with the names debate tho, struggling on boys!

Hazandduck · 01/09/2017 16:47

Glad your test went ok @buttery. A picnic and lots of horses to watch sounds like a perfect Saturday!

@Zampa sorry I must've missed your moving day post, hope it all goes well! :) x

stuckinny · 01/09/2017 19:51

@Hazandduck Congratulations. You're pictures are beautiful.

@Zampa congrats on closing. I hope the move goes smoothly.

I've had a fair amount of heartburn but trying not to take anything. The evenings have been particularly bad especially if I eat late. There have been days where it's been there all day long too.

I think the baby has moved but I'm not sure which way he's facing. I'm getting what feels like more pressure movements rather than obvious kicks.

My blood sugar fiasco continues. After two attempts at a retest in the last two weeks I refuse to drink any more of that stuff. The doc and I have come to an agreement that is check my sugars first thing then two hours after breakfast for the next week. But even that hasn't gone smoothly. They called a prescription into my local pharmacy who then denied ever receiving the request. I'm going to try again tonight on my way home. If they still don't have it I'm accepting I'm just not meant to do the test and that will be the end of that.

30 weeks today and it suddenly hit me that I don't have long left. Where did the time go?!!!

Hazandduck · 01/09/2017 20:11

Thank you @stuck :)

Oh Lordy I feel the same, where has the time gone! I also feel like the movement has changed more to a pushy type pressure, big ripples that I can see.

At least your doctor is being sensible! They can often be a bit stubborn with things like that! X

butterybollocks · 01/09/2017 21:33

I'm feeling lots of big, strong ripply movement now - I love feeling him wriggling about in there but it's quite uncomfortable sometimes.
He has basically not stopped moving all day today... He is genuinely never going to sleep is he?! Shock

Zampa · 01/09/2017 23:33

Finally in bed! The last removal guy left at 2200! We paid for them to pack for us and for them to dismantle and re-mantle (new word!) the beds and wardrobes. Just have the weekend to unpack now as well as cleaning both the old and new places. Yawn - the fun never stops.

lydiangel83 · 02/09/2017 06:34

Baby was in breech and made my whole
Belly tight and uncomfortable plus sharp pains that made me concerned. Now he/she has turned and is head down and I feel more kicks and I love feeling the lump that I'm midwife showed me is the bum! Heartburn still there, not taken anything for it as not been too bad.

Back and hips are killing but 15kg extra to carry around is not insignificant I guess!

izzibee29 · 02/09/2017 08:34

Hey ladies just catching up.

@Hazandduck loved the pics, huge congrats.

@Zampa woooo glad the moved has happened in time/ went well.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok/that any appointments have been fine.

We went to our first nct class this week, we were the couple with the latest edd by a mile which was a little disappointing, but it was great to chat with some other mums and dads to be. One of my friends is now 9 days overdue! I don't wish that on any of us when the time comes.

AccrualIntentions · 02/09/2017 17:12

Oh balls...I'd been planning to book NCT classes but hadn't got around to it, now that I've looked on the site again today there is nothing offered in my area except December and January due dates...which is no good to me as the latest I'll deliver is mid November. Do you think if I ring them they might be able to squeeze us in an earlier group or have I cocked this up entirely? Confused

Alexandra07 · 02/09/2017 22:21

@AccrualIntentions You have nothing to lose by calling them! Maybe there is a waiting list in case of cancellation? Is there another group close by that maybe you could join?

AccrualIntentions · 02/09/2017 22:47

Alexandra07 I hope so, will call on Monday. Doesn't seem to be anything near me at all...I'm not even that bothered about the classes themselves I just feel like I need some people to hang around with when I'm on maternity leave!

Alexandra07 · 02/09/2017 23:51

@AccrualIntentions I know how you feel. This is the reason I booked them as well, to meet people! I think nct organises also some coffee mornings or something like this that anyone could go, that's another option if a course doesn't work out.

Zampa · 03/09/2017 07:18

@AccrualIntentions Don't worry too much about not doing NCT classes. I missed mine with my eldest as she arrived too early. However, the hospital showed me what to do with her and I made friends via a local (free!) baby group. There will be other parents looking for friends/support and you seem to naturally gravitate towards each other!

Zampa · 03/09/2017 07:19

You could ask your midwife about the free NHS antenatal classes too?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 03/09/2017 07:20

If you're looking to meet other parents, MUSH and HOOP are two really useful apps.

I'm lurking on both for now but as soon as I'm on maternity leave I'll start using them properly.

AccrualIntentions · 03/09/2017 11:09

Zampa I managed to get signed up for a couple of NHS classes but they're not really near me, so I'm doing them more for the education than the contacts, if that makes sense.

NiceCuppaTea thanks for the app recommendations, I will definitely take a look at those.

butterybollocks · 03/09/2017 17:41

Hope everyone has had a good weekend?
I had a lovely day watching horses at burghley yesterday and walked 5 miles which I was pleased with. DH bought me a baby bag with ponies on Grin

We've been window shopping at John Lewis today and I've finally put together an actual list of what we need AND have ordered a load of stuff from ikea for the nursery so feeling quite productive! We didn't really buy anything for DD when she was a baby as we were so skint so we've been saving madly so we could enjoy a bit of shopping this time.

Bracing myself for a very busy week at work this week with lots of travel.

izzibee29 · 03/09/2017 19:02

@butterybollocks ooo Burley! Lucky thing. I watched some highlights on the tele and my dog was transfixed by the pretty ponies. She has always loved making friends with horses and tries to kiss their noses.

My weekend has been mixed.

High point- my friend has has her baby boy and is now home and settled.

Low point - hip aches are back and causing me jip
