In which we swat away unwanted hands, perform military operations every night to roll over in our sleep, clean the kitchen cupboards for the eleventy billionth time and count down the days to our maternity leave!

@GingerHanna really happy to hear that you are back at home. We love bath time at our house, my mum came over to teach me how to bath a baby. Little Bea looks so chilled out in her washing up bowl bath!

butterybollocks · 04/11/2017 15:33

Great to hear Joseph is home @gingerhanna

I've been into hospital this morning for s check following reduced movements. All fine - no idea why baby went really quiet for a few hours but he seems to be back to his usual lively self now thankfully. We were there for hours - I'm so tired now! 3 days until my c section!

lydiangel83 · 04/11/2017 18:22

Thanks all @theotherendofthesockportal she was only 7.1lbs in the end, previous estimates were over 8lb!

DuRezidal · 04/11/2017 22:18

I’m looking forwards to reading about more arrivals now we are in November... I still can’t believe that we are here after all the count down!

Jasper has just been an absolute angel and we are all totally smitten with him.

We went to a family bonfire tonight as our daughter had been looking forwards to if, but we left just after the fireworks as I want to make sure we spend time as a family of four while we are finding our feet

izzibee29 · 06/11/2017 03:41

@Hazandduck oooo 1 week till your edd! Exciting!!!!

Hazandduck · 06/11/2017 05:36

So nice to hear the new arrivals are settling in, hope you are all doing well! @Durez Ah I love the name Jasper! Gorgeous.

Eek I know @izzibee I cannot believe we are actually here! Currently laid awake can’t get comfy with back ache and odd cramps, can’t tell if it is anything or not? Watching Mighty Boosh to distract myself :)

I have today had a cup of raspberry leaf tea, a spicy rice bowl lunch, scrubbed the kitchen floor on my knees and been doing lots of reorganising of our study, so maybe it’s starting some twinges lol!

Sorry I dropped off a little bit, I’ve had such a bad week anxiety wise, waking up every half an hour worrying because I’ve had incessant itching on my hands, feet and tummy. I’ve had the blood tests for problems with the liver which can be serious, and they came back ok, but it has got worse and Midwife is repeating the bloods tomorrow. Everyone keeps saying to keep an eye on the movements as I am the only one that can know if it’s not right, but I find it so hard to trust myself 😣 it’s such a huge responsibility I wish someone else could just tell me if it’s normal! I got to the stage in the week where I was scared to fall asleep in case I missed something. I just want Baby here now!! Desperate for him/her to be safe and in my arms. I think this part of pregnancy is the hardest! X

Hazandduck · 06/11/2017 05:37

Ps @izzi I take it your pregnancy imsomnia is in full swing? ☹️ Xx

lydiangel83 · 06/11/2017 07:46

@Hazandduck hand hold for you. Sounds like you’re doing well. I think my contractions started hours apart on Monday night, hence when induced on Tuesday morning I was holding our baby 5 hrs later! Thinking of you and everyone due in the next few days, can’t wait to hear the happy news :-) xx

Hazandduck · 06/11/2017 08:42

Thank you @Lydia, that is so amazing how quick your labour was! Does it feel surreal that you have a real life little baby? 😃 xx

izzibee29 · 06/11/2017 10:06

@Hazandduck ooo yes from 2.3-5ish every night I’m awake.

Mighty Boosh is an excellent shout and will certainly get the oxytocin going. Love that show.

Cross fingers things will get moving for you soon x

Hazandduck · 06/11/2017 13:53

Thank you @Izzi, just got back from the Midwife and Baby is fully engaged 😬 Hopefully things may get started soon! She took my bloods so I shouldn’t have to wait too long for the results, she gave me an induction booklet in case I am induced which was a bit scary lol.
Oh yes, Boosh and the Young Ones are my go to comfort watches! Nothing bad can happen when they’re on 😄

How are you feeling? It’s so weird we are now in November and all the babies will be here in no time! X

AGnu · 06/11/2017 14:22

Sounds like it might not be too long for you Haz! How exciting!

My cold was feeling a bit better yesterday but I totally overdid it & feel dreadful again today. I'd been sleeping on the sofa bed because I could prop myself up better but went back to my bed last night & hardly slept. Also, baby seems to think my cervix is a trampoline today & it hurts! Still a few things I want to get done around the house so I'd like her to stay put just a little longer. I've decided I want her to come at night on 39+6 which is a week on Friday. That'll be the best day because it won't interfere with other plans & it'll mean DH can have a weekend either side of his week of pat leave. I'm sure she'll agree to my schedule... Grin

Topsyloulou · 06/11/2017 14:31

Introducing Iris Ellen. Born today at 9.16am by elcs. She weighed 7lb4oz & has a headful of long dark hair. Some of it is so long it's curly! She had a great first feed, I was worried how it would go as DS didn't get on well with breast feeding. She's having a well earned rest now.

butterybollocks · 06/11/2017 14:46

Ahhh she's gorgeous @topsyloulou! Congratulations! It's so lovely hearing about all the babies arriving!

Haz, hope you're OK, I completely agree with you that this is a really stressful bit of pregnancy.

I have my section tomorrow - I'm excited and anxious and scared all at once. DD is off to my mum's tonight and the dogs are going for a little holiday for a few days so later this evening it'll just be me and DH which will be weird! We have to leave before 6am tomorrow to be in hospital on time. Eeek.

theotherendofthesockportal · 06/11/2017 15:05

Congratulations @Topsyloulou, she is beautiful. I like her baby grow too! I adore the name Iris, I am a big fan of the older names. How are you feeling?

@butterybollocks wishing you a restful evening and good luck for tomorrow.

@AGnu I hope you feel better soon!

@Hazandduck I’m sure it won’t be long for you! Get your feet up whilst you can.

Sorry if I’ve missed anyone out, I’m hoping every one is feeling well?

AGnu · 06/11/2017 15:44

Congrats Topsy! She's adorable!

This is all so exciting! Topsy today, buttery tomorrow, possibly Haz any time now... They'll all be here before the end of the week at this rate! Grin

izzibee29 · 06/11/2017 16:24

@AGnu love the determination that the baby will come on that date- sending good vibes for that.

@Topsyloulou Iris is adorable and I love her outfit and head of hair. Hope you get home soon.

izzibee29 · 06/11/2017 16:25

@butterybollocks oh also hope your c goes well - can’t wait to hear about the next baby! X

AccrualIntentions · 06/11/2017 17:10

@TopsyLouLou Iris is beautiful, congratulations to you all Smile

AccrualIntentions · 06/11/2017 17:11

Good luck to everyone else whose babies are imminent!

Zampa · 06/11/2017 17:48

Congratulations Topsy! I love how freshly born she looks - so new!

Good luck for tomorrow Buttery.

How many changes of clothes have people taken to hospital for baby? I currently have 2 newborn outfits and one 0-3 months. On the enhanced recovery programme so hoping to be discharged within 24 hours of my ELCS.

Hazandduck · 06/11/2017 17:52

Ah @Topsy congratulations!! Iris is gorgeous!! And so nice to hear she fed well :) xx

Ooh @Agnu the classic trampoline cervix! Hope your cold clears off soon and baby sticks to your schedule x

Good luck @buttery I hope everything goes well, so close to meeting your little one 😃💗

How are you getting on @sock, and Baby Bea? X

I’ve just woken up from a monster nap having started writing this reply 3 hours ago lol. That’ll be the piriton kicking in for my itching ha xx

lydiangel83 · 06/11/2017 18:21

@Topsyloulou congratulations I love the name Iris too! Def was on my list. She looks adorable I hope you’re feeling well.

Thanks @Hazandduck I think we were genuinely shocked for a day or 2 that she came so fast!

theotherendofthesockportal · 06/11/2017 18:29

@Hazandduck I’m feeling the best I have felt since Bea arrived, I managed to tidy my kitchen cupboards today. I was going to do this before she came, but as you know she escaped early. Bea now has her own cupboard. She is doing well and now weighs more than her birth weight, yesterday we discovered she likes listening to the red hot chilli peppers, she is such a daddy’s girl 😁

butterybollocks · 06/11/2017 18:41

Ahhh how lovely sock.

Zampa, I have one 'first outfit' Sleepsuit, one for coming home in (chosen by DD) and 3 others + Vests, all newborn size. I'm hoping to be on enhanced recovery too but I'm refusing the pre op drinks which may mean they make me stay in longer.

Thanks for all the good wishes for tomorrow everyone :) currently snuggled up in front of the fire while DH cooks me a steak dinner.
