Sorry, cross posts Foxy, sorry you feel so shit. I know those days though! I really feel for you having to manage it all as well as your DCs. Just give into to whatever you need, be it bed, crying, chocolate or any combination of the above! I don't want to say cheer up as I hate it when people say that to me, but hope you feel better soon!

Seansgirl · 06/04/2007 13:28

Foxy, yes we know how it is - its just one of those days. Perhaps you'll feel better if you have a little rest while they watch telly? Sounds like you truly have been a good mother this morning, time to polish that halo and be smug

I'd have thought it would be ok, if it had been a hotter wash and for longer maybe not and as you say its gone straight in the oven.

Belated birthday wishes Twocents! Sounds like you had a nice time. New kitchen? Sounds fab to me - are you going to get all little extras like a wine cooler and built in griddle etc etc. Oooohhh am excited for you!

On the house front since DH has seen our house on telly he has decided that we need the lounge decorated (and a new sofa!) and to get rid of our hand me down furniture in the dinning room! WhooooHooooo! Am very pleased, as of course these are things I have long wanted doing. But a bit wary he might change his mind! Better get organising before he has chance to!

Seansgirl · 06/04/2007 13:30

Sorry the ramble about it being ok was to Holly and here washed lamb!

Seansgirl · 06/04/2007 13:36

Bumper, you lucky so and so Jennifer Anniston......... I've no idea who I look like thats famous, probably nobody. DD is the spitting image of me at that age so perhaps I'm a grown up version of her! That makes me cute right?

Yasmin le Bon Foxy, wow you do live up to chat name don't you? I quite fancy Yasmin Le Bon myself

joke Foxy! Tee Hee!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 13:51

I still haven't watched your show yet seansgirl! I keep meaning to, but keep getting distracted. It is on my sky+ box waiting for me to view!! The lamb is cooked and it looks ok!! We need to decorate badly, our house is pretty awful!

Sorry you are having a bad day foxy. (((hugs))) Hope you feel better soon, having a good sulk and cry can do you the world of good I find! You have been a Nigella grade mum today! I haven't ! Maybe I'll take dd out when she wakes up!

I used to look like Jessica from Liberty X, alas no more! I was thinking the other day that the new Scottish girl on Tikkabilla looks a bit like me. Quite tall and pale and a bit fat! Maybe I should be on Tikkabilla too, I don't think once Paul has met me he'll be able to resist!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 13:56

Tonight Matthew, I am resembling Moby Dick.

O! FFS! Get over it foxy!!!

I'm going out on my own to the supamarket. If a Bigmac happens to fall into my gullet, then so bit it.

I was once told I looked like Sarah Ferguson . I had hair extensions at the time.

Others have said Sheena Easton (WTF!)

I'm sticking with Mrs Le Bon. Although I WAS going to be Mrs John Taylor from the ages of 12 - 14.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 13:57

OMG two of the May mums have had their babies! This is creeping up on us a bit quickly girlies!!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 13:57

But I can't forget Daisybump likening herself to Keith from Eastenders after her 6 hour crying session.

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 13:58

I saw that, but did you see the sad news about Charleymouse's twin Benjamin? Very very sad.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 13:59

I'll be Mrs Le Bon once I get rid of that slag Yasmin!! Of course I'll cut off her beautiful hair and put it on me, then Simon will surely fall for my charms!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 14:00

Oh no, did he die ? I just looked a the birth announcements thread and it says he is a little angel. I thought that meant he was good. Oh dear the poor lady.

doggus · 06/04/2007 14:18

Hi all, sorry I haven't posted for a bit - been ill again with an ear infection (not as bad as yours though derlor). Went to the GP and midwife who say that lowered immunity is par for the course in pg (to protect baby) which has made me feel better. This is about the tenth virus I've had - with shocking high temperatures (103 last night).

The midwife says baby measuring 27 weeks (I am 28 weeks) - not to worry as it is not an exact science. So I won't worry and will simply tuck in to M&S extremely chocolately biscuits (made a special trip to M&S, Marylou, to feed the addiction).

I want to plug this lovely lady's site . I wrote to her late last night with specific questions on which bag would be best for me and she replied straight away with lots of sensible suggestions. I think I am going for the Storksac.

I have skimread all your posts, holly you made me laugh at your lamb, at what hospital jugs are used for, good luck vibes to nannyjo and anyone else suffering. Foxy - I feel your pain, I am in a foul mood and have been all week, really impatient and feisty. Hoping it's hormonal and I haven't morphed into a bitch.

Lastly, I have been told my several different people I look like Susan Sarandon. Which given she is 15 years older than me .

Seansgirl · 06/04/2007 14:39

LOL Doggus, yes but I shouldn't worry she always pulls doesn't she? So it cant be all that bad. But sorry to hear about your bad ear, hope it gets better soon.

Ahem excuse me Foxy, but I was gonna be Mrs Taylor at that time too. But all changed now I wouldn't want him now I know where he has been....yuk!

Haven't been following the May thread but very sad for Charleymouse

Sheena or Sarah what a choice Foxy, bit insulting really.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 14:43

Glad you are feeling better doggus, hope you won't get poorly again, sounds like you've had a pretty crappy time with all your bugs! Great website, I love the Lumilove nightlights on there. My dd would love them, I think I have found her birthday present!

annobal · 06/04/2007 17:09

I was going to be Mrs George Michael but he blew that out the window (or should I say closet ).

It is scarey how quickly June is creeping up on us. I just noticed a December thread!!

We're away for a week tomorrow - going to Norfolk for some sun - I hope!

I hope everyone as a great Easter and eats way too many eggs of the chocolate variety.

derlor · 06/04/2007 18:41

good evening, i was wondering if it is about time we started a new thread as this is now taking a few seconds to load on my computer - i'm very impatient!!
need suggestions for a new title.........

OP posts:
hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 19:35

Good evening all!!

Hope you you have a lovely relaxing time annobal and hope the weather stays as brill as it has been today.

Yes derlor we need a new thread, we talk too much! Oh the title possibilities! I'm in the mood to offend (in the nicest possible way of course)!

derlor · 06/04/2007 19:44

have you had good weather today holly? it's been really overcast here today
had a good day though wandered round a garden centre (god i sound old) had a lovely lunch then went for waxing and reflexology - just heading off for a bath soon and dh puting dd to bed.
Foxy hope your mood is better - although there is nothing more satisfying than a good old sulk and grump followed by a sob - like a detox for the mind!

OP posts:
Seansgirl · 06/04/2007 19:50

Think a new thread would definately be in order Derlor, though I'm not very much of one thinking of witty one liners. Like Holly, I'm in the mood to ruffle some feathers!!

Have a great time in Norfolk Annobal, hope weather stays good.

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:00

Evening lovely ladies!

Was wondering about your whereabout Doggus, sorry to hear you've been ill again . Do people really spend £320 on a changing bag? I'll be sticking to stuffing the odd nappy in my handbag if I'm lucky enough to remember!

Am feeling better thanks, we all went to the park together and played footy and cricket which was great. Kids are still up and we're all off to the races tomorrow, so I'd better get them in their beds.

Shit, forgot I've got tea on too!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:04

It's been beautiful down here today!! I've not really been in the mood to enjoy it. I'm just a bit tired and feeling a bit snappy and cross! I'm such a moody bitch!

I'm going to the garden centre on Monday, sadly I'm really excited about the prospect! I need to buy some slug pellets so I can kill as many of the evil little sods as possible! I usually have nothing against them, but when they eat my veggies I see red! I'm also going to get some grow bags and some tomato plants to put in them. Then I'm going to plant some peas, beans and courgettes. I'm really looking forward to my day of growing stuff!

I'm thinking of a title as I type...I'll get back to you!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:05

Hi foxy, glad you are feeling better !!

riabutterflew · 06/04/2007 20:14

Who is John Taylor and where has he been?

LOL at lamb story, that's the kind of thing that would happen to me. (Today DS1 insisted we had fresh bread and tomato soup - in place of wine - for lunch to continue his religious symbolism. I am NOT EQUIPPED to deal with this).

My celebrity double is Caroline Quentin/Dawn French/Jo Brand (but I'm younger). When I was a teenager I looked like a very young Lady Di.

Sympathy for all of us who are tired and in bad moods - me too. Went to the supermarket this morning and had to go to bed this afternoon - pathetic. Not looking forward to the long bank-holidayness of the weekend and subsequent absence of DH.

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:18

I think my foul mood is down to a huge hormone rush, with this nausea and sickness, massive braxton hicks and no bloody sleep!

I found myself wondering past MacD's today, and being judgemental about the girl in there with her baby who was so tiny it looked as though they had just left delivery suite. Then I went in and had my pregnancy Big Mac. As I was leaving a woman looked me up and down and fixed her eyes on my bump in judgement. I wasn't even looking particularly chavvy! Obviously a MNer!!!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:20

John Taylor was the bass player in Duran Duran, top '80s pop group. He was married to Amanda De Cadenet, 14 yo "wild child".

God, he was gorgeous.
