Thanks foxy, might google him later! I had visions of the bloke from Queen... Was Duran Duran the one with Tony Hadley?

riabutterflew · 06/04/2007 20:27

Hmm, not bad looking. Not rugged and/or middle-aged enough for me!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:29

Oh lord, I feel old now Ria! Explaining that Tony Hadley was Spandau Ballet.

derlor · 06/04/2007 20:30

ria tony hadley was lead singer in spandu(?) ballet "GOLD"

If Dh had been in I could have made him feel old instead. Sorry. If it makes you feel any better I can identify Jason Donovan songs on the radio.
Must get children to bed.

derlor · 06/04/2007 20:32

foxy i['m impressed at your spelling i struggled for ages with "spanuau" then clearly gave up!

You are not old foxy! I knew that and I'm quite young, it just comes from having a sad and extensive knowledge of 80s pop music! I am also in love with Andrew Ridgely and Simon Le Bon!

derlor · 06/04/2007 20:34

oooh do you remember Chesney Hawkes??? eeeyuk

OP posts:
hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:35

Yuk, mole face! He was rough, though at the time I was about 7 and fancied the pants off him! I remember dancing to "The One and Only" at my birthday roller disco party!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:36

I am feeling really stressy, so I'm having a beer!!!!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:42

Yum! Is it lovely and cold and delicious???

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:44

How did the lamb turn out Holly? I bought some in Sainsburys for Sunday after your story. Ask your mom for some cooking tips for me please!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:46

Yes, it's ice cold, I put it in the freezer for a bit! It's one of the nicest beers I've ever had, maybe because I've not had one for so long!! I'm feeling horrible and narky. Just had a go at dp for not talking properly! I hate to say it, but I could really do with a cigarette atm!! I've not smoked for years!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:47

The lamb was fine, apparently it was really tasty and not soapy!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:51

Oops I've just ordered more stuff from Vertbaudet!! Some shoes for dd, a polar bear rug and a free bunny toy with £10 discount!!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:52

Oh no, I'm the same! I occasionally smoked inbetween babies, when on a night out with the girls (shocking how many other moms share the same guilty secret). Must confess it does make me feel a bit like 'me' again!

Am currently watching a programme on living2 with a woman giving birth in a pool. her partner behind her and 5 people looking in on her fanjo as the head comes out! Oh, and a video camera too!!!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:54

not one of them was brandishing a sieve either!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:55

Those women have no shame! All hairy fanjos and saggy boobs! I used to watch those shows when pg with dd, but now I can't. The reminder of the pain is too much!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 20:56

One of my friends filmed her son's birth and she showed it to me! I would never let anyone film that, let alone show it to anyone!

foxybrown · 06/04/2007 20:58

and why do it with an audience? not for me, I don't even want DP there, which suits him just fine.

derlor · 06/04/2007 21:01

eeyuk holly that is minging. i mean birth is natural and all that but showing it off to your friends - no no no no no!

OP posts:
hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 21:02

I didn't want to watch it, but she insisted, I didn't want to offend her!

derlor · 06/04/2007 21:04

really foxy - are you going to have just you and the MW? you are having it in the house aren't you?

OP posts:
foxybrown · 06/04/2007 21:05

Although I had two friends with me the first time, one the second and just DP the third. Have a different friend to support me this time, but thats because she's wanting to become a midwife and has yet not seem a baby being born, despite having 4 herself. So I'm actually only doing it as a favour!!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 06/04/2007 21:07

I don't think my dp would mind not being there. He hates blood and he didn't have too much fun last time, I think he felt a bit useless and didn't like seeing me in pain. I think he'd rather be in the pub, but if I have to go through the pain then he has to watch me! It's only fair!
