Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:00

Yes!!! Had my chocolate fix! My mum is a teacher at a posh school and has come home laden with lovely chocolate gifts from her children. We have Lindt bunnies, Lindt eggs, Lindt easter egg, Green & Blacks and some other Lindor animals!! Brilliant!!! I feel sick now!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:03

oh, there's no slacking - slack off here and you miss too much! Its a full time job being on MN!

I don't miss working - I miss grown-up conversations, heeled shoes and tailored clothes, I miss a lunch hour to go to the shops or the gym or read a newspaper. Sometimes I'm jealous of DP's journey to work - I think how nice to get to sit for an hour and listen to the radio in the car! I miss my own money, but don't have time to spend it anyway.

I haven't missed any first steps, first words, giggles and have always been there to kiss a bump better. And I love my bosses with all my heart.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:04

sharing, Holly, sharing

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:09

I'll gladly share, I feel vomitous! Too much Lindt (is that possibel?)!

Honestly have you been keeping up with the April thread? It's hilarious! I've just checked it to see if any more babies have popped out and it is full of complaints. I am sat here PMSL!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:09

Or even possible!!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:22

they are jam. not custard. it says custard on the box. now I have to bite each one to see.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:25

What a shame, you'll have to eat all five, just in the name of testing of course! Hope you get a custard one!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:30

they are all jam.

fucking hell.

I am far more disappointed than it is normal for a 36 year old mother of 4 should be.

I could cry.

mummyjx · 30/03/2007 16:30

I like guylian (sp?) chocolate seashells. Every box donates to saving the seahorse. Does that count as a contribution to marine conservation?
I am SO bored today (again).

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:31

does it Mummyjx? I never knew that. Yes, definately a contribution to marine conservation. But only a VERY small one, so you need to eat lots to make a difference!

mummyjx · 30/03/2007 16:34

I DO eat lots (hence the vast ass). Tesco do a cheaper version which are nearly as good (but not for the seahorses).
I did mention I was bored, but once my PC goes on I have to leave it on in case it decides to hibernate. I don't sit next to it all day....

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:34

Oh foxy, you poor lamb ! I am really for you! I would be well pissed off if that was me. Jam donuts are all well and good, but they're not custard are they?

Yes mummyjx, you are doing some fine work for marine conservation! I do the same fine work for African farmers when I buy Green and Blacks! I'm such a good person. I should get some sort of award, an mbe or such will suffice!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:38

I knew YOU'D understand Holly! Especially as I'd only just mentioned them the other day, and I couldn't believe my luck in the supermarket today! I might phone them up and complain.

Mummyjx, should we not be sitting next to pc's all day then? My laptop is right next to 'my' spot on the sofa, where I sit. Quite a lot. Supposedly resting my bump and fat legs. Ignoring my child/ren (depending on the time of day). I do get up to feed them. Pot noodles and frootshoots. and to get another donut.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 16:39

PMSL at your MBE for helping African Farmers!!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 16:46

Well I do some good work!!

It's my bro's birthday today, he is 20! I feel really old now, he's not a teenager any more!

marylou23 · 30/03/2007 16:58

Foxy, I feel your pain. I've run out of M&S extremely chocolatey chocolate and orange biscuits.

marylou23 · 30/03/2007 17:06

Which benefit the extremely chocolatey village workers in the remote island community of chocorange... (hangs head in shame for second time today owing to love of chocolate that isn't even ethical, just yummy)

bumperlicious · 30/03/2007 17:26

Ok ladies, I'm going to have to ask you all to stop posting during the day - it's going to take me bloody hours to catch up with this! And when I read through and think of something extremely witty to add, by the time I get to the top I forgotten and can't keep track of everyone and how they are doing!

Back in a about 5 hours when I've finished catching up!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 17:36

Oh Marylou! That's awful! Quick! We'll airdrop you extra-chocolaty chocolate orange biccies - keep an eye on the skies for emergency aid.

marylou23 · 30/03/2007 17:55

Yeah, still waiting...
Am going to have to make do with chocolate digestives [sighs and rolls eyes].
Now, time for Friends...

bumperlicious · 30/03/2007 17:57

Ok, am having to keep two tabs open so I can respond as I go along.

Firstly I love Phil! He used to be a marine too, which is why he's so buff (grrr). I also used to have a tiny school girl crush on Kirsty (ok no comments about my girl on girl tendancies! I bet you all had school girl crushes!) but my friend was recently on Location Location and said she was really rude and divaish, and she has about 7 pushchairs (including a couple of bugaboos) apparently, anywa - which really put me off.

Kiwinat, Noah is top of our list, though my mum hates it! She go really upset that she wasn't going to get a say in the name. Chuh! Yeah right, she had 3 goes at it herself, it's our baby and we'll call it what we like! We also like Jude and Leo for boys. Top girl name is Lila, but I also like Sapphire and Aurelia or Aurora, but DH not too keen.

Foxy, I can empathise with the diappointment over the donuts. I nearly cried at work when they had run out of snail buns (iced swirly raisiny doughy yumminess). I also did actually cry when they didn't have any of the pasta sauce I had been craving in waitrose!

Ok, I think that's me caught up.

Trace2 if you are still reading just come on here and offload whenever you like (if only so I don't feel like the only whinger ) It sounds like you are having a crap time, we really do sympathise with you.

Feel like I've been beaten black and blue today - damn osteopath! My left hip is agony, so I am proper waddling now, and breathless when I walk. Feel like such an invalid. Isn't this meant to be the most natural thing in the world! (Only a man would say that)

Going out for dinner tonight though (hurrah - I have a life!) as part of the ongoing 'birthweek' celebrations (not just a birthday for me - I'm like the Queen). And tomorrow DH and a friend are spending the day doing 'man cooking' for me and some friends that are coming over. Now from what I understand man cooking involves spending the whole day preparing elaborate dishes, using hundreds of pots and pans while drinking beer. Doesn't happen v often but when it does they do it in style!

notsolilKel · 30/03/2007 18:04

HELLO!!!!! SW London in the house!

This will be short cuz I've got a million things to pack before we leave for our 3-week trip to Germany (MIL) tomorrow morning, and I've been without a computer for weeks (travelling and then when we got home it broke grrrrr).

I would just like to say I'm no longer human. I've become a walking whale which can't breathe...bad cold just won't go away and no day/night nurse allowed! boo hoo hoo!

hope to somehow find an internet connection in the next couple of weeks - alas if not - feel free to email me, I'll have my blackberry. TG for technology!!

BIG HUGS I've missed you all.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 18:23

WE ARE SO PLEASED YOU ARE OK!!!

DON'T YOU EVER DROP OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

bumperlicious · 30/03/2007 18:30

Hi lilkel, hope you have a fab trip. Sorry you're not feeling well. With on the feeling like a whale thing! Do any of you wonder if you can possible get any bigger? Belly staring to itch now as well.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 18:32

Oh, I might see Phil if I go to the park tomorrow - have seen him in our cafe a couple of times. I'll pass on the fat-club fan-club saucy best wishes!

Bumper, love Jude, because I have one! Fell in love with the name when I saw it in the vid shop on the box of the film with the lovely Christoper Eccleston in it, and it hit me immediately as THE name. Not too many around, not uncommon in Nappy Valley.

I love Kirsty's shoes and skirts, but OMG what happened to her wardrobe when she was PG?? Saw her in a service station once and she was on the phone, so can't comment on divaishness, but am sure you are right. I have 3 buggies, but no bugaboo (which TBH I wouldn't know if it came and poked me in the bump) - mine are all crap. so I'm not in her league.

Kids all had friends round today, so house is a tip, bloody boiler's broken again (seems to be every sodding friday), TP away til Sunday night and all I've got to make fucking easter bonnets tomorrow. God, I need a drink!!!
