No, I'm not still getting told off, just take these things badly (I am such a weak and feeble person really and avoid everything and everyone in real life...)
Anyway, moving on (it's time I did).
I'm going to put my vast ass on the line and say I TOTALLY AGREE ABOUT WATERBIRTH. I had a lovely one with DS1, and he was pink and clean etc when he got to me.
Unfortunately with DS2 it all went a bit wrong, the MW having to read the waterbirth instructions whilst I was in the pool. I went in too early and it all slowed down and then he decided to come out with his shoulders sideways and got stuck and I had to have an episiostomy which was reflected in the tv screen at the end of the bed and he was gooey and purple.
But I will hopefully do the water thing again.
Names are a minefield aren't they? I find it difficult to find a name that doesn't already belong to someone I was at school with who used to pick on me!(I am a seriously pathetic person!!!)

mummyjx · 30/03/2007 13:46

Actually, DHs boss has started being mean about me, because I care enough to complain that he is overworked and underpaid and getting verbal abuse when said boss been drinking. And hints that all the work he's put in over the last year has been for nothing as they will probably change their strategy anyway.
But you didn't need to know that, it's par for the course in our life, just a pain when PG, as I feel my chidren deserve a bit of gfinancial stability. Hey ho.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 13:49

PMSL...look at the new April thread title!!! You go girls!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 13:51

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!HERE I AM!!!!!!!

So have I official made it on MN? Told to piss off last week, been quoted this week?

Actually I've been here a while but it takes soooo long to catch up with you lot! Now I know why I log on in the morning and dip in all day - its impossible to keep up otherwise!!

AND, better still, I found custard donuts in Sainsburys this morning! The round ones! only in boxes of 5.

And I'm gonna eat one NOW.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 13:52

Mummyjx, my dp was in a similar situation a couple of months ago. He was being bullied by big bosses and being made miserable. He was a nightmare to live with and so stressed. Instead of leaving the company and giving them the satisfaction of forcing him out he moved into a different dept, gaining himself a payrise in the process. He is much happier now. It will get better, something will work out for you.

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 30/03/2007 13:54

Hi foxy, I'm off now, you smell!! Not really, my mummy is picking me up in a sec so I'll see you all later xx

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 13:56

Mummyjx, we too had a really crap time a few months ago with TP's bosses - dragged him through all sorts of shite. It was really tough for him and us too. It will hopefully come to an end soon. If its a decent sized company there should be procedures in place to take out a grievance (takes HR hat off), tho my TP refused to against my better judgement, months ago, all the shite couldn've been prevented.

BadZelda, sorry to hear you are having a crap time with your MVs. Are you SE London? I had to change GPs first time to get support, and I'm glad I did. I'm SW, if I can do anything to help I'd be glad to.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 13:56

bloody cheek!

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 13:57

Hope theres NO chocolate in your mummys shopping Holly!!!

BTW, yes those lindt eggs are delicious, but you didn't bloody well tell me that had those fiddly little wrappers on! Takes me ages to get them off so I can shove a handful in!

mytwocents · 30/03/2007 13:58

mummyjx, sounds like your more sensitive and thoughtful than weak OR pathetic....

Oh foxy, I want custard donuts now!!

Am liking more and more the idea of a water birth....baby swimming out..easier on the lungs... even the seive does'nt really put me off .. yet...

Daisybump · 30/03/2007 14:02

Can't believe I've missed so much this morning.....I've settled for Mothercare's poor man's version of the bugaboo....definately not as stylish, but DH just would not agree to spending £600 on the complete Bugaboo works...so we just spent £300 instead.

Just found out this morning that my company pays you for your holiday time which is accruing whilst on leave. I didn't think they would so haven't booked any. I'm now trying to arrange six months of holiday (not that I get six months annual leave...now wouldn't that be nice...I mean 13 days leave entitlement for a six month period) to be taken over the next few weeks and deferring maternity leave till 23rd April so I can get more money for longer....but the stupid twunt in HR is ignoring my e-mails....maybe I'm a bit late but....its worth a try.

Very very very busy morning....desperately trying to get everything finished for tonight, but it isn't looking likely...I'll need to come in tomorrow as I'm off on holiday for a week and a half so can't do it next week...that and it's the school holidays. Aargh...feeling a bit guilty about my lack of progress, but not one of my superiors has inquired as to whether I would have everything finished or asked how they could help me make sure I had. I've got loads of stuff to put in order and handover notes to do as well as tidy my desk for the next incumbent and I'm nowhere near even finishing what's on my project list.

And, sorry for not letting this one lie, but WHAT???? How could you not know you were pregnant? I look like I've swallowed a watermelon....I've heard loads of urban myths about women like that but it's usually about the friend of a friend of a friend's second cousin twice removed. This is the closest relationship yet. That said, my cousin didn't find out till she was 5 months pregnant....but she had polycystic ovaries and ovulated (and period) once a year if she was lucky, her DP has very low sperm count and motility and she'd been told that they would never conceive naturally. They'd had three unsuccessful attempts at IVF and had given up....but when she started putting on shed loads of weight and felt this strange squirming feeling in her innards she went to see the doc straight away.
Here's more for the list...
Does she always have to stick one leg out behind her when she picks something off the floor because she can't bend down properly?
Does she always put her leg up sideways on the bed cos she can't get her socks on otherwise?
Does her belly button always stick out in an unattractive squishy fashion? (hey maybe it does....)
Do her gums always bleed when she brushes here teeth?

LOL at Harvey Nicks....might just try it. It's virtually across the road from M&S here and there's a Debenhams practically next door (I assume they have a similar system)...I could waddle from one to the other (it makes a nice triangle) in the vain hope that something will give somewhere....but knowing my luck I'd be standing bawling in a puddle in the middle of Briggate with people giving me a wide berth for being a nutter !!

Phew long post. Well back to the grind, or I will still be here in 10 weeks.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 14:05

According to my Babycentre weekly email I'm in my last trimester!!! 27 weeks, 13 to go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Am a happy Foxy

Daisybump · 30/03/2007 14:06

PMSL at the new April thread ....think we've started something here, but at least all the self righteous ones are leaving us alone now!!

mytwocents · 30/03/2007 14:19

Happy 13weekstogo Foxy !! Me too..

Daisy, you've reminded me to try and get as much paid leave as possible, cheers, they're not paying me any mat pay so I'm onto it!

My belly button has popped out!!! only just noticed this morning, was big inny before and never liked it really - tell me experienced ladies, does it go back to how it was before?

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 14:24

well, mytwo, it did after my first two, then up to about 3 days ago I had a permanent 'parsons nose' (isn't that what the arse bit of a turkeys called). Oh nice description huh? Anyway, now my belly's stretched taut its gone back to normal.

That's not helpful, is it?

BadZelda · 30/03/2007 14:31

My belly button didn't pop with number one - just went gradually flatter and flatter. It's definitely been an outtie since about 22 weeks with this one though. Making me wonder if it is a girl as the ultrasound man claimed...after all he said 'look at her big labia' (this was at 21 weeks) but my weekly update has just informed me that the labia aren't visible until 29 weeks....hmmmmm. He was a trainee, so it's possible he could have been wrong. Just my luck! He spent an hour farting around with the US machine (and didn't even crack a smile when I asked if he'd got an ultrasound for Christmas...as a small hint to why he'd had me lying on my back for so long) and it was only when the actual technician came in to do the measurements that I realised he was just messing about! The actual ultrasound technician spent about 5 mins confirming measurements and just grunted when I asked her to confirm the gender...so we'll have to wait I guess.

mytwocents · 30/03/2007 14:32

Thanks foxy, Im only just wondering 'bout it really, sure everyone's different, kinda hoping mine will change for ever...

mytwocents · 30/03/2007 14:34

Cheers zelda, more crap service you've had!! Rubbish.

foxybrown · 30/03/2007 14:53

BadZelda · 30/03/2007 15:04

Mmmmmmm flapjacks mmmmmmmmm

Baking sounds like a good idea once I have completed the ton of work I need to get done this afternoon...

mytwocents · 30/03/2007 15:21

Here ya go.........
Not low fat at all these, organic butter though....
I love slacking on a friday! Think I'd like to be a sahm.... Not that there's any slacking in your houses! Just bored of working really, had thought I'd work until mid June but not so sure now....

BadZelda · 30/03/2007 15:37

Heh - I told hubby to take a couple of months off work as it was cheaper than putting ella in nursery, and I'm on this fat contract....really jealous of him now! Can't wait to swap back to him working and me looking after kiddies...looking forward to it a lot now.

BadZelda · 30/03/2007 15:38

actually just realised how dodgy that sounds....I didn't order him to do it, obviously it was discussed and agreed! (Zelda the sergeant major...hmmmm)
