I think that's a definite excuse to book a private scan millsbynight .

My anomaly scan is on 23rd August. Bump still could be fat/bloat and not obviously baby. Hate this In between stage where you just look tubby. Has anyone else's diet been terrible? I've only put on a pound so far but I've eaten so badly.

@Waitingonasmile my diet is really rubbish
I'm living on biscuits, crisps, melted cheese, so many carbs and done no exercise
I wasn't too worried at first as I know baby is tiny and didn't need much but I know I should really start eating better now for them.
I have so many food aversions though... healthy food sounds disgusting

We are keeping the sex a surprise for delivery date
I had wanted to know but have come around to the idea a bit now

I've also been eating so much rubbish it's unreal - I seem to have an aversion to healthy food at the moment, just don't fancy it at all! Carbs carbs carbs!

That's fab klaw must have been so lovely to hear! Hopefully I'll get to hear mine on Monday too Did they count the beats per min? Apparently it's another way to guess the sex, if it's over 140 bpm it's a girl and under 140 a boy.

I've been eating terribly too. Just got a tub of pick n mix, got a big tub because it was half price. Eaten so much sugar now it's ridiculous!! Actually a bit worried because I felt a lot of flutters soon after was picturing baby bouncing off the walls on a sugar rush! Going to really try and eat much better and cut down on the sugar now!

It really was lovely! Puts my mind at rest for a few days at least lol
Didn't actually see what the beats per minute were, might be in my notes I'll check later but I heard it was the other way round and faster for boy! I've heard so many different things lol

I spoke to my best friend on the phone today for the first time since she had her little boy earlier this week. While we were on the phone I could hear him gurgling away and I instantly burst into tears! Oh, hormones. Also had a scary moment today where I was so excited by the novelty of not having to eat every hour to quell the nausea that I let my blood sugar drop too low and ended up sliding down the kitchen cabinet in a faint while trying to pour Rice Krispies. Don't let it happen, ladies!

Oh peach, that sounds icky! No chance of that happening to me lol! I eat all the time, but until this week I've been so healthy with my food and exercising and proud of myself. But I'm suddenly so tired and just craving sugar all the time! I think it's because of baby's growth spurt (18 weeks today); I'm also getting the stretching feelings that might signal another increase in bump size (let it be so!). I think I felt some flutters last night again, but it's so random that it's impossible to tell if it's baby or just me digesting my cake and hot chocolate haha! Roll on 14 August for the 20 week scan!

I decided to make a greek salad for dinner instead of pizza! Then again, I did eat an entire box of maltesers earlier today

Oh and I finally got my screening results and told my boss who reacted far better than I thought they would.

wlm I got butterflies randomly on the couch last night but I'm only 14+5 so I put it down to my hot chocolate hah.

Hope you're feeling better peach if it happens again I would probably speak to midwife just to be on the safe side.

I've been getting definite flutters since last Friday. It's such a lovely funny feeling and unmistakable, nothing like wind or digestion. I'm 16 weeks today and wasn't expecting to feel this early but it's definitely there and quite strong at times. I think I'm going to have a very wriggly one!

I'm so glad it's not just me eating rubbish. I just constantly want take away lunches like Subway and Greggs.

I'm pretty much still eating cereal (15 weeks tomorrow), mainly frosties and shreddies with the occasional honey nut cheerios. I heard variety in a diet is important

@Maybe or anyone else that's already had flutters - what does it feel like? Not sure if I just felt it or not... felt like a a really light itch or tickle from the inside going across my lower abdomen, not just in one place, it sort of trickled from one side to another. Dont know how else to explain it! Didn't last long and was light enough to have me wondering if I imagined it!

Thanks all, I'll definitely speak the midway fe if it happens again. It was mostly scary because I was in the house by myself and afraid that if I bashed my head or something nobody would find me until DH got home from work... but my tendency to catastrophise is well-known and at least the adrenaline probably helped me speed up the cereal-pouring!

klaw I've had a few different feelings of flutters. Sometimes it feels like a little roll, almost like when you go over a hill or speed bump too fast or on a fairground ride but a tiny version of that feeling. Then I've had the flurry of bubbles like you describe and then I've had single ones which I can only describe as a pop, like when you make that pop sound with a finger in your mouth.... have no idea if any of that makes sense it's so hard to describe!

Eek so it could have been then - it's not like anything I've felt before, I know what you mean about it being hard to describe ha! Dh asked me what was wrong initially as I had such a look of concentration on my face but was staring at the blank television 😂

I did the same thing first time I felt it, I was sat on sofa and turned to dh with I don't know what kind of expression on my face and he was like what's up with you! 😂

Feeling all sorts of strange things and don't know if its me trying to convince myself i can feel something!

Can I join? My expected due date is 11th January. This is my second dc and was a massive surprise, especially as I was told in December that I had PCOS and was unlikely to conceive without assistance.

My 16 week check up is this morning, has anyone had one recently just wondering what to expect? Be lovely to chat with everyone due around the same time.

Morning all
As this is my first pregnancy and I'm only 15 weeks tomorrow I know it's probably too early to feel anything
But at the beginning of the week I though I felt something like fizz a little below my belly button then the other night I felt my stomach flip a little and then a sharp thud or ache
I think I am over thinking every little thing in my body

Also have a poxy sinus thing coming on since yesterday, I do tend to get them a couple of times a year and just dose up on solpasinus which is brilliant!
My head is pounding, even my teeth hurt!
Going to try inhaling steam with Vicks, get a salt spray and some cold compresses
All of which is fine at home but have to be in work for the next 8 hours 😒

@hanna I can't be 100% sure what I felt was baby as it's only been once last night lol but was well below belly button, likes couple of inches below and across my abdomen x

@Lady congratulations! I had mine yesterday and it was pretty brief, they checked my urine sample, blood pressure and asked if I had any questions or concerns etc, then got to listen to baby's heartbeat which was lovely! That was about it :)
