This is me today. I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow. I've been eating everything in sight and doing no exercise.

DH felt the baby kick for the first time today! Her kicks are now strong enough for other people to feel. Woohoo!

@Waitingonasmile I literally do no exercise either except the occasional walk to the park when DS needs to expel some energy. Must do better!

I felt my little one kick for the first time last night!! It was as a very odd experience!! I think she's going to be a gymnast or a football player.... I've been eating everything in sight (you should have seen the size of the piece of cake I had yesterday!) and trying to exercise ... sadly the only bump picture I have at the moment is me in pyjamas and no one needs to see that! I can't remember if we have touched on this subject before so sorry if this has already been answered!

When do we get our MAT B1 form for work? My next midwife app isn't until I'm 25 weeks that seems quite far into the pregnancy for work to start looking at my mat leave, I want to get dates sorted really (cannot wait to finish work!!)

I don't know whether I'm meant to ask the midwife for it or is it something she will do for me? No one has mentioned anything to me

It has to be given to employer at least 15 weeks before due date or around 25 weeks pregnant. You should be ok if seeing midwife at 25 weeks if you hand it in straight away.

I think we've already discussed this but I've forgotten, when is everyone thinking of going on maternity leave?

19+1 today and can't stop eating everything in sight! I've gained about 7lbs so far despite staying active, please sew my mouth shut!

Waiting I'm hoping to work up until Christmas, take some annual leave first week of Jan and start my mat leave about 10days before due date, so won't have to go back to work after Christmas

gemxo you can request MAT B1 form after 20 weekscall your doctors or midwife if you don't want to wait till your 25 week appointment and they will send it out to you.

I'll officially start my Mat leave on the 7th Jan which is only 4 days before edd BUT I will have been off work on Christmas hols for 2 weeks prior to that. So I'll actually finish work 22nd Dec, all being well that is!

Hopefully, I'll be similar maybebaby2. Plan to finish for holidays on 21st, but begin maternity leave on 4th Jan when school starts. I think because I had DS at 35 weeks I don't really know how well I'll cope at work until 37 +2. I'm a complete wimp but really hoping I'll last until end of term.

I think I'll start maternity leave on Jan 1st (20 days before EDD)
It will mean I'll be in the office between Christmas & New Years but it'll be really quite

I'm hoping my replacement will start in mid Nov so I can have a long hand over and it'll hopefully make December easier on me

I've got some holidays to take so think I'll finish up on the 8th of December but my 1st day of mat leave won't be until the 27th. My due date is the 8th of Jan but I'm having a planned section so probably the week before. With my son I worked to 37 weeks then he was 10 days overdue so ended up having over a month off before he made his arrival. I feel like I could have worked on longer but this time I want to finish a bit earlier so I can have some time with him before his sister comes. After this week I'll only have 14 weeks of work left, I feel like the time is flying in!

Another one here working up until the Christmas break, then taking three weeks annual leave. I think my maternity would start on the 18th and I'm due on the 20th.

I'm taking mat leave from 1st Dec, maybe have some holiday to take before. Not due until 16th Jan but combination of being bored to tears at work and my childcare arrangements for dc1 coming to an end earlier than hoped and not being able to find a new nanny that can/will do the few hours we need to fit around nursery.

I know it's early but my travel system got dropped off today! Makes it very real and scary! Wouldn't of got it so early but getting it from a family friend half of its never been used and the rest is still like new, they've got a buggy as their little one is older now and wanted it out the way!! Just need to find somewhere out the way to sotre it now! 17 weeks and 5 days till due date!!

So exciting isn't it SJ!! The car seat we bought is just sitting in the living room and I can't stop staring at it Have refrained myself so far from other big purchases... for now.

We've been given most of our stuff and had some we had bought for my step son as i was with his dad before he was born (my partner and ex split up prerty much as soon as she found out she was pregnant through her choice) so have most of it already just need small bits

Just a quick question, does anyone have waves of feeling quite tired? I was unde the impression I would get a boost of energy in second tri but feeling the opposite!!!
