Congratulations on your scan flossy

Yep there's still a lot more to yet find out at their 20 week scans and those who will find out at the birth. Girls are only 3 ahead of the boys so its still pretty close atm. I'm looking forwad to seeing if it stays pretty close or if there will be an obvious majority!

Isn't it true that statistically you are more likely to have a boy?

My 20 week scan is next Friday, have convinced myself it's a girl.

Congratulations on all the scans!!

I had mine today aswell, all looking great with baby. Placenta is a bit low so need another scan at 34 weeks, she said chances are it will move by then but if not then probably c-section - as long as he's all healthy though I'm happy :)

Klaw87 mine was the same but they said it'll prob be ok. I have growth scans at 30 & 36 weeks anyway so they said they can check it then.

Thanks for doing the list maybebaby, it's exciting finding out what everyone's having. And we have the surprise baby announcements to look fwd to aswell.
I think the stat was maybe 51 boys for every 49 girls. I think historically when times are hard, like when food is limited then the stat starts to favour girls. I was on a diet when I conceived a girl, anyone else?

@Maybebaby2 I'm also having a surprise baby, for your list :) If I'm completely honest, I'm hoping for a girl for no real reason, but obviously I don't mind either way!

MIL is coming around from the whole "bad luck to have anything for baby in the house before it's born" thing, and today she has bought some gorgeous multicoloured wool and a couple of patterns to knit a hat and cardigan

@Waitingonasmile fingers crossed it moves for us both! The lady said it was more likely to move than not so I'm not freaking out - and kind of glad that I get to have another scan before we meet him :)

Interesting theory rose! I was on a healthy eating regime when I conceived a girl last time and again when I conceived a boy this time! Maybe I was being more strict when I fell pregnant with DD though...

Bit of an odd one for yous. I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about, more just wanting to know if anyone else is experiencing it?

Anyone got a lower back tattoo? I'm finding recently, especially when it is hot, it is itchy and slightly raised. The tags on trousers are also driving me round the bend itching and scratching at it. I've got one on my shoulder too which isn't causing any issues at all. Just seems a bit odd.

I'm also having a girl, secretly quite happy as my 3 boys (sons and step-son) all play rugby phew for getting to skip more years and years of cold wet muddy Sunday morning games... haha. Watch her be a tom boy wanting to play girls rugby

@MrsCorr my sibling are the same as well so it's not a big thing for our family. My eldest son 21 and my sister there is only 9 months between them. I remember holding my baby sister in my arms the first day she was born and telling my mum I was pregnant with my 1st. We are all very close and my sister is now trying for a baby so we might even have babies at the same time which would be wonderful. The children have taken it really well and are very excited. Also have lots of baby sitters as well which is always a bonus.

@Maybebaby2 it's lovely to chat to other people who have big gaps between babies people do look at you as if you're crazy (maybe a little) but I actually just feel I can totally cherish every moment with this one, every little kick melts my heart as I know this will be my last pregnancy 💕 how did your DS take the news. Did he get GCSE result yesterday?

I have a scan this afternoon. Hope to find out what Bub is but might not be told.

@icantthinkofastupidname my friend had that it's due to the skin on your lower back and stomach stretching to accommodate bump appaprently hope it eases off for you but lots of moisturiser is meant to help

Scan went well and I'm having a girl!!

Placenta is low so re-scan at 34 weeks but they didn't seemed overly concerned. They said it was likely to have moved by then, so I'm not too worried.

Choco yeah I even had people say are you mad and don't do it when we were ttc. I think they thought if I've already done all the hard work why would I want to go right back to the beginning. But I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again and I feel so lucky that I get the chance to!
Ds does his gcse's next year. This one is due the day before his 16th birthday so he's still 15 atm but there will be 16 years (exactly!) between them when this one arrives. Did your ds get results yesterday?

@ChocoMunchi I have an 11 year gap! DD is very excited about her little brother!!

Also, only realized today that my placenta is anterior so that's why I'm not feeling loads of movement yet! Had 2nd part of my anomaly scan today and baby was waving around so I know he's active just cushioned

@ziggzagg my placenta is anterior too and baby was waving at the scan! I have a big age gap too my daughters are 11 and nearly 14! They are very excited!

Ladies help me feeling so down my partners cousin lost her baby at 37 weeks last week she isn't ready to talk to anyone but don't even think she has the answers yet this has really cut me especially as at 21 weeks I'm still not feeling movement with an anterior placenta. I sound so selfish as I really am so gutted for her but also made me so much more anxious of my own pregnancy! My partners away for a long weekend I don't want to worry him about how dreadful I'm feeling. I live in the sticks so have no friends or family around me and just feeling super lonely fat and useless (was quite obsessive with healthy eating before I was pregnant) and haven't even got the reminder of little kicks to let me know it's all for this little baby ! Sorry for the rant ladies please cheer me up :-(

Oh no @SpringChicken26 that's so sad. It's bound to make you anxious.. I have been more anxious this time think as I am older now.. hope you feel better later when you are on your own you think lore. My husband has been away for a few days.. his phone isn't working well and it makes me panic lol
