I got my BFP a few weeks ago. I could not believe it at first. Due mid April.

MissYeti · 19/08/2017 20:58

@thara123 I was the same when I saw mine! Thought I'd missed my fertile window this cycle :o its the best feeling, right??

Jenster17 · 19/08/2017 21:44

Hey guys, just a reminder for anyone who wants to join the 'April Babies 2018!' Facebook group, please can you DM me your email and I'll add you in. Congrats to you all! xx

WhyTheHeckMe · 19/08/2017 23:31

Hi all. Please can I join?

I am currently 4w 2d. Have a 19mo ds.

I was on the March 2018 ante-natal thread but unfortunately miscarried last month. I was between 6-7 weeks. Felt something went wrong to be honest, lost my bloat literally overnight.
Did a digital test and the weeks had dropped back to 1-2. Went for a scan and while I was there the bleeding started. They confirmed the baby hadn't grown beyond 5 weeks.

I was absolutely devastated and cried till I had no tears left but 2 weeks later I must have caught again. And here I am now with a dd of 28th April.

Have to go for a scan at epu w/c 4 Sept.

So I'm still cautious at the moment

Sorry for the essay.

I hope you are all feeling well and enjoying pregnancy so far. Looking forward to seeing all the scan pics as they come in :)

Finch82 · 19/08/2017 23:55

Welcome whytheheckme. What a horrible time you've had but how lovely to get pregnant so soon! Hope this new little bean is your happy ending rainbow baby. I'm so paranoid of losing mine I carry a big night time sanitary towel with me everywhere I go. Will feel better when I've had a scan. It's a good thing you are going for an early one, it'll give you loads of reassurance!

I think I'm 6+1 and this is my first pregnancy. Eek! So excited! xxx

Jenster17 · 20/08/2017 08:09

@Finch82 Snap - I'm 6 weeks and also is my first pregnancy.

@WhyTheHeckMe So sorry to hear what you've been through but so lovely you're pregnant again already . Welcome 🤗

Hi ladies,

Can I join in? Just got back from my honeymoon this morning, 10 day late period and a few symptoms so did a test as soon as we got in from the airport and got a BFP!! In total shock it's happened so fast but absolutely over the moon. Trying to stay calm as I know it's early days. Think I'm about 5 weeks but confused about when we count from, ovulation date or last period date?

Still getting a few crampy/AF type pains, nothing too intense but is that normal?

Xx

MissYeti · 20/08/2017 10:03

@aspenn17 count from the first day of your last period :)

Congratulations on getting married and your bfp!!

MissYeti · 20/08/2017 10:07

Also yes, cramps are completely normal. Its your uterus starting to expand

Finch82 · 20/08/2017 11:11

@Aspen17 mine's a honeymoon baby too!

I had some terrible cramps in the week following my BFP. I'm about 6+2 now and the cramps have eased. As Missyeti says, it's your uterus expanding. Don't worry about it too much, it will eventually pass! Congratulations! Where did you go for your honeymoon? We went to Lisbon for 5 nights then flew on to Madeira where we stayed for 9. Pretty sure we picked this baby up in Lisbon. Had this funny feeling on the plane returning home that we were bringing back more than just the two of us Grin

Aspenn17 · 20/08/2017 12:41

Thanks MissYeti, that's reassuring.

Ahh congratulations @finch82! We went to Australia for 4 weeks, pretty sure we conceived in Sydney. Did you get any symptoms whilst you were away?

So it's my best friends hen do next week which I've organised. Not too worried about the drinking thing, I get wisdom tooth infections a lot so going to use that as a reason to 'take it easy' and I will be in charge of the kitty so can order myself soft drinks without people noticing. What I'm more worried about is that we are doing a muddy obstacle course Confused it's nothing too difficult but we are a group of 20 and considering im the one who has organised it and I'm known to be the sporty one in our group, if I don't do it it's going to be really obvious something is up and I think then hen will be annoyed .... reckon I'll be ok doing it if I take it slow? xx

MissYeti · 20/08/2017 12:56

aspenn you'll be fine, exercise is good for you! Take it at whatever pace you feel comfortable. If bean survived the plane ride back from Australia they'll be fine on a mud run :) have a great time!

Jennywren15 · 20/08/2017 14:50

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good day! Wow the bloat is real, my stomach thinks is a few months into the pregnancy already!! Whytheheckme sorry for your loss but glad you are back on track and welcome xx

fitbitbore · 20/08/2017 16:43

I'm 8 weeks and I can't do up my pants and I look pregnant. It's too early! Anyone else like this?

starsshinebright · 20/08/2017 17:01

I'm also 8 weeks and my high-waisted trousers are beginning to feel tight. All I want to do is lounge around the house in my PJ's!

fitbitbore · 20/08/2017 17:04

Yessss @starsshinebright I've bought some big comfy leggings and longer tops from matalan!!!

Thelostsock · 20/08/2017 17:05

I'm the same at 8 weeks, very bloated

starsshinebright · 20/08/2017 17:15

If I don't have to go out they're the kind of things I live in fitbitfore, so comfy!

Sam91TRS15 · 20/08/2017 17:47

'Luckily' Hmm I still have my slight baby bump from my 2yo so I always look about 12-16 weeks pregnant anyway... But I'm def feeling the bloat. And my parents guessed today, so much for waiting til the scan! Which I'm feeling more and more nervous about now that I'm coming up to the point baby stopped growing last time. I am worried my worrying is putting unneeded stress on me but I can't help it

Poppyandpeaches · 20/08/2017 18:05

Well the nausea has caught up with me today! Which is making me feel a bit better that everything is doing what it should be, but not helping me to get anything done! I feel like I can't handle anything stressful just now - the slightest thing is making me overwhelmed. I think it's just hormones mixed with worry about baby etc - exhausting!

FuzzyOwl · 20/08/2017 18:25

I'm bloated as well and both my jeans and bras are really uncomfortable from the afternoon onwards.

MrsDneedsaB · 20/08/2017 18:43

Oh the bloat is very real! Been living in dresses at work because I can't bear the thought of putting trousers on and the past two weekends have been spent in leggings. FYI ASOS and M&S do the comfiest maternity leggings, not so see through either!

LivLemler · 20/08/2017 18:53

Evening all.

We told our parents this weekend, they were all delighted. It was lovely.

Definitely feeling the bloat! Unbuttoned my jeans under the desk on Friday. Might go buy some jeans in a size up just for comfort, they'll do for after anyway.

Nausea properly kicking in now, but no puking so if it stays like this I'll take it.

MissYeti · 20/08/2017 19:27

Can I ask when you ladies started getting symptoms?
I'm 4+5 and haven't had anything other than very mild cramps and insomnia. The insomnia isn't uncommon for me so I don't know if I can really count it as a symptom...
